Grip – RELEASE.
Seo-jun wasted no time pulling the dark silk over his nose, skillfully talking his way out of the potential murder by coughing delicately into his elbow and watching the wall as if he were some innocent, prim Victorian maiden who had never touched a fist to another in her life.
Tae-hyuk slowly pushed himself upright, winching as he smoothed the disheveled black strands from his tousled hair.
He cleared his throat, adjusting his un-tucked shirt to at least regain five percent of his usual Vice Chairman intimidation factor.
“Dr.
Lee,” Tae-hyuk rumbled, his voice somewhat raspy.
“Step inside.” Dr.
Lee pushed a sleek silver tray into the master suite, following closely behind the bent-over Secretary Kim.
The middle-aged doctor took in the scene with cool detachment as he paused just inside the doorway, taking in the floating feathers, the crushed and broken lamp on the floor and, more importantly, the half-naked Prime Alpha rubbing at his temples and the flushed young man wrapped in a silk sheet like a burrito.
Dr.
Lee adjusted his glasses, his lips twitching slightly as he took in the sight before him.
“I see the post awakening was…
lively,” The physician remarked as he stepped closer, his practiced eyes sweeping over the bruised and swollen parts of the younger mans anatomy.
“Though I didn’t realize Prime Alphas needed extra pillow therapy to calm down their Rut” “Stop it,” Seo-jun muttered from behind the silk as he glared daggers at the doctor.
“Just check my vitals so I can get the hell out of here.” Dr.
Lee placed his finely tuned scanner on the bedside table before bringing up a holographic display of Seo-jun’s body.
“Out of the question, Mr.
Han.
At least for the next two days.” Dr.
Lee said as he gently brought up a wireless sensor to the newly appeared scent glands on Seo-jun’s neck to take his vitals.
Before the sensor could even make contact Seo-jun’s skin, a large hand shot out gripping Dr.
Lee’s forearm, halting him mid motion.
Tae-hyuk’s eyes narrowed dangerously at the doctor, the look on his face one of feral warning.
Growl…
A deep sound like vibrations coming from his very bones rumbled at the back of Tae-hyuk’s throat.
“Vice Chairman,” Dr.
Lee said calmly as he met Tae-hyuk’s piercing gaze, releasing a long suffering sigh.
“I have been your family’s personal physician for the last fifteen years.
Surely you aren’t suggesting that I would risk harm coming to Mr.
Han?
This is just a standard diagnostic sensor.” “Back off, beast!” Seo-jun shouted as he shot up from under the covers, sending a sharp slap to Tae-hyuk’s broad back.
“He’s trying to help me, damn it!
Stop growling like some sort of feral animal!” The last part came out more as an exclamation as the older man glared daggers at Tae-hyuk’s rigid stance.
The golden in Tae-hyuk’s dark eyes calmed slightly as he slowly released Dr.
Lee’s arm, though he remained standing right at the foot of the bed, blocking the view of Seo-jun from the ever-watchful Secretary Kim.
Dr.
Lee carefully ran the thermal scanner over Seo-jun’s pulse points, watching the holographic display as it finally settled on a string of bright blue readouts.
> PRIMARY STATUS : RESTRAINED ROYAL PRIME OMEGA (AWAKENED) > SCENT MARK: STABLE (KANG TAE-HYUK / PRIME ALPHA) > COMPATIBILITY ABSORPTION : 100% > REPRODUCTIVE CELLS STATE : ACTIVE / SELECTIVE SYSTEM ENGAGED “Fascinating,” Dr.
Lee muttered as he peered closer at the results, his brows rising slightly behind his glasses.
“The physical inflammation in your lower spine and joints isn’t actually damage, Mr.
Han.
Your skeletal structure is merely adjusting to the increased density of Prime Omega energy flowing through your system.
As for the…
liquids discharged…” Seo-jun quickly buried his face in the mattress, moaning in sheer embarrassment.
“Please, please don’t say it.
I beg of you, Doctor.” “Your body has been using the genetic material from the Vice Chairman to fuel itself in order to finish the awakening process,” Dr.
Lee said in his professional voice, as he completely ignored the pained whimpering coming from the young man on the bed.
“Since you’re a Royal Prime Omega, your body has decided to take the most energy possible from him to finish the process.” “See?” Tae-hyuk chuckled darkly as he leaned in close to kiss the top of Seo-jun’s head, a wicked grin curving across his lips.
“I told you, my pretty little Omega.
I simply squeezed you until you were empty.” “I WILL KILL YOU, KANG TAEHYUK!” Seo-jun shrieked into the soft silk, his face red from embarrassment.
Dr.
Lee’s amusing expression suddenly sobered as he reached into his coat pocket, pulling out a small black data drive before looking up at Tae-hyuk with a grim expression.
“We have a situation,” The physician stated simply as he turned to face Kim and the others, who had also gathered around the bed.
Kim tapped at something on his tablet before activating the room’s acoustic dampeners, muffling any sounds from outside.
“When Mr.
Han’s eyes turned sapphire last night,” Dr.
Lee said quietly, his brows furrowing.
“The energy output was so great it nearly overwhelmed our penthouse frequency scramblers.
Helix Biotech’s satellite network picked up a Class-S genetic signature just above this area” The amusement left Tae-hyuk’s face in an instant, the air around him growing colder with his sudden fury.
“They located the building?””No.” Kim said smoothly as he stepped forward to take his place next to Dr.
Lee.
“As soon as the anomaly went off the grid, I activated the Kang Group military protocol.
Your guess is as good as mine as to what Helix saw, but Dr.
Yoon Seung-woo is no fool.
He knows Han Seo-jun didn’t die as a result of the catalyst.” Tae-hyuk’s jaw tightened as he stood.
He slowly peeled back the silk, running his thumb over Seo-jun’s bare collarbone.
Seo-jun sucked in a breath as the broad hand came to rest over his own smaller one, his fingers unconsciously curling around the older mans wrist.
“Let them search,” Tae-hyuk rumbled, his voice low and somehow frighteningly calm as he leaned close to Seo-jun’s ear.
“The moment even one man from Helix Biotech sets foot on Han Seo-jun’s property, I will see to it that they no longer exist in the world.”
