The still air of Seo-jun’s tiny room was almost smothering.

After assuring Seo-ah that he was all right and that the only thing he needed now was sleep, Seo-jun finally laid back on his small bed.

The familiar scent of home wrapped around him, but the feeling inside his skull was anything but peaceful.Full novel: The Last Camellia — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

He stared unseeing at the speckled ceiling and trailed a hand absently over his face An Omega.

He couldn’t quite process it.

Twenty-three years old and an Omega Seo-jun closed his eyes and buried his face in his hands, the sting of tears hot in his throat.

He had spent twenty-three years being this boring, everyday Beta.

He had worked himself to the bone just to keep his sister fed and the roof over their heads.

He had sacrificed everything for her, for her happiness, her safety.

And this is what he got in return?

Some freak accident that turned him into an Omega?

No, worse.

A late blooming Omega.

A rare Omega.

One whose eyes glowed like twin moons and whose scent could drive an Alpha Prime to madness I wish this was just a nightmare, Seo-jun thought morosely, his fingers twitching.

I wish I could wake up and never feel this way again.

He shifted on his side and winced as a sharp, searing pain lanced through his ribs “Ngh…!” Seo-jun gritted his teeth and pressed a hand to his side, hissing through the pain.

“Argh…

Ngh!” The pain in his spine and muscles was a combination of the violent restructuring of his body and the fatigue from the long, horrible night.

Every single muscle in him felt like it had been ripped out and reinserted in a different place.

“That goddamn bastard…” Seo-jun wheezed, his face hidden in the crook of his elbow as he cursed vehemently.

“Tae-hyuk, you fucking psycho…

you broke my back…” He glared at the imaginary eyes set in the darkness of the room, his heart pounding furiously in his ears.

He wanted so badly to blame Tae-hyuk.

The taller Alpha had nearly taken advantage of him last night.

If he hadn’t gotten away, who knew how much worse it would have been?

But as he laid there, feeling the sweat stick his shirt to his back, other, less pleasant memories clawed their way into his hazy mind.

Flashes of last night’s events bombarded his brain, searing like white-hot iron.

He could almost feel the feverish flush crawling down his neck and the electricity sparking in his veins, the feeling of his own scent curling around him like vines.

He could see the world around him turning to blue.

He could feel the power rolling off him in thick waves.

He could even feel the sting of his own hands against Tae-hyuk’s broad shoulders as he pushed him against the bed with a ferocity he didn’t know he possessed.

No, but he hadn’t fought him, Seo-jun realized in horror.

He had not fought Tae-hyuk.

He had thrown himself at him, all but choking him with his scent.

He could almost hear the words leaving his mouth in a breathless, shaking whisper as they stared at each other, eyes locked.

__PROTECTED_FOREIGN_QUOTE_1__ “Don’t you dare look away from me, Tae-hyuk…” Seo-jun’s eyes snapped open at the sound of his own voice.

His cheeks burned with a deep, embarrassed heat as another layer of shame and humiliation twisted unpleasantly in his gut.

“You were the one who started everything!” Tae-hyuk’s voice echoed in his ears, the memory of their fight in the penthouse coming back with a vengeance.

“You were the one who chased after me!” “No…” Seo-jun choked on the words, his hand flying to his face.

“No, no, no…” He groaned his discomfort into his elbow, his other hand clenching the fabric of his t-shirt.

“That bastard…

I just…

I don’t even know what to say…” He hadn’t just thrown Tae-hyuk against the bed.

He hadn’t just nearly choked the man unconscious.

He remembered the feeling of his own power, wild and untamed, sweeping through him like a tidal wave and consuming everything in its path.

He remembered how Tae-hyuk had practically fainted in his arms from sheer shock.

He remembered throwing the taller Alpha off his body and watching him stumble back, a dazed look in his dark eyes.

And then he remembered himself, kneeling in the middle of the floor, his breathing shallow and uneven as he stared up at Tae-hyuk.

He remembered the words coming out of his mouth, his own voice rough and shaking with barely restrained emotion.

“Get the hell out of here, or I swear I’ll kill you.” His heart thundered painfully in his chest at the memory.

That was when it had truly hit him, that he had nearly killed a Prime Alpha with his scent a day ago, that he had taken Tae-hyuk’s suppressants without a second thought and nearly taken him to a place he never wanted to go.

He had been angry, so very angry.

But mostly, mostly he had felt ashamed.

Ashamed of how easily he had fallen to his own desire, to his own power, and most of all, how willingly Tae-hyuk had obeyed him Tae-hyuk’s scent had nearly poisoned him, his power nearly consumed him whole, and yet he had taken the other Alpha’s orders like a well trained puppy.

Every word, every move, every step of the way, Tae-hyuk had obeyed him without question.

The next wave of emotions crashing over him left Seo-jun reeling.

He was furious at Tae-hyuk for kidnapping him, furious at himself for letting the man get to him in the first place.

He was scared of his own scent, of his power, and of what it would all mean for his future.

Seo-jun clenched his fists, forcing the air out of his lungs as he tried to steady himself “It doesn’t matter,” he muttered fiercely, his voice low and quiet.

“It’s all just…

the fever.

The heat talking.

I took his suppressants, I came home, and told him to leave me alone.

That’s all…” Seo-jun exhaled shakily and pushed himself up on his elbows.

A dull ache pulsed in his spine as the still raw muscles groaned in protest, but he ignored it, pushing himself into a sitting position and staring blankly at the ceiling.

Tae-hyuk was just a rich bastard with too much money and power.

A Prime Alpha who had taken advantage of him.

He would forget all about this in a few days, Seo-jun was sure of it.

Because a man like him wouldn’t waste his time with a broke Omega, no matter how cute he was, after he had threatened to kill him.

He’ll move on, Seo-jun thought, closing his eyes as he let the suppressants take their toll on him.

He’s a Kwon.

He’ll forget.

And I’ll never have to see his stupid face again…
