Chapter 7: Cupcake

the magical girls of war: Obsessive Tendencies

As the towering alien behemoth was completely flattened, a massive tidal wave of purple goop erupted outward, painting the entire street in a thick, slimy residue. The air instantly filled with a pungent, biting stench that smelled aggressively of ozone and burnt chemicals.

The Maniac wiped a thick glob of purple slime off her face, a dangerous smirk returning to her lips.

The Stoic Samurai’s expression remained deeply neutral, though her rigid posture and the slight twitch of her eyebrow made it clear she was thoroughly agitated. Both of them were utterly drenched from head to toe in alien fluid.

The Maniac let out a low whistle, slinging her empty rocket launcher over her shoulder. "Well, I’ll be damned... You’re actually kinda dangerous, aren't you, Cupcake?"

Tony’s neon-pink pigtails practically bristled. He looked deeply offended, his jaw dropping. "C... Cupcake?!"

Smiling Girl burst into a frantic, cackling laugh, desperately trying to mask her sheer terror. "Pfft! Oh, that’s a good one! And here I am, just calling you Pink! Hahaha! Honestly, after all that pressure, I feel like I'm just gonna collapse and fall straight to sleep!"

From behind a nearby dented dumpster, Hopeless Girl peeked out, her green frills stained with soot. She wiped her nose, letting out a pathetic little whimper. "Actually... a nap sounds really nice right now... sniffle."

The Maniac looked down at her slime-covered hands and shrugged. "Yeah. Honestly? A nap does sound pretty nice."

The Stoic Samurai gave a slow, mechanical nod. "A long shower or a hot bath would also be tactically acceptable to remove this bio-matter."

Right on cue, Grey Girl let out a soft, rhythmic snore from her spot on the pavement, completely unbothered by the toxic odor filling the alley.

Tony took a frustrated step forward, waving his hands around wildly. "Are you people seriously talking about sleeping right now?! Do you even understand what has happened to us within the last thirty minutes?! The city is ruined, we are stuck in frilly dresses, and to make things worse, I still haven't even found Alice yet!"

The chaos gremlin girl chuckled, leaning forward with a teasing glint in her eyes. "Ah, so... you’re into women, huh? Wow, Cupcake, I gotta say, that makes you a whole lot more interesting to me. By the way, where’d you put that giant kaiju hammer?"

The pink aura had entirely vanished from Tony's body. He blinked his big, expressive eyes, looking around the empty, ruined street in genuine, utter confusion.

"...What hammer?"
