“Alright then, guess I’ll have to play the good Samaritan again, haha.” True to her spirit of helping others, Mu Yining stepped out of the car with a bright smile. She had been in a good mood these past few days, so helping them out felt only natural. She was going to make them realize the absolute joy of being decent human beings.
“Boss, we’ll definitely pull it off this time. Look at that girl, she doesn’t seem sharp at all—total idiot, right? We’re in luck!” Henchman A remarked eagerly.
“Get out of here, we haven’t even caught her yet! Show some respect! Even when we do, she’s mine! Whoever tries to steal her from me, I’ll mess you up!” The beer-bellied leader wore a face full of lust. Seeing the pretty girl practically in his hands, he wasn’t about to let these fools ruin a good thing—they had ruined plenty for him on normal days.
Listening to their whispers, Mu Yining felt so cringed that her toes could curl up and dig out an entire magical castle. They had whispered so loud she heard every word. How uninteresting.
“Is there something you gentlemen need?” Mu Yining thought to herself: *Hold it in, I can’t be too flashy.*
“Little sister, look at the world today! Everything was fine this morning, and now the streets are crawling with zombies! It’s terrifying—brother here was so scared he almost wet his pants, look here…” The beer-bellied leader maintained his sleazy style, intentionally gesturing down to his lower half.
“Hahaha, Boss is impressive! I bow to your greatness…”
“Little sister, hurry up and help our boss! He’s right in front of you…”
“Hahahahahahahaha!”
Their laughter grew increasingly unrestrained. Mu Yining kept a polite smile and motioned for them to continue.
“It’s nothing major, really. We just want to hitch a ride in your car, little sister. See if you can give us a lift? Zombies are everywhere nearby, and we brothers can’t run fast enough. What are we supposed to do?” the beer-bellied leader said.
Alan crouched behind Mu Yining, not even bothering to spare them a glance. He only felt how hot it was outside—why did they have to interrupt his air-conditioned comfort? Couldn’t they just be decent human beings?
With proud, arrogant strides, his massive frame stepped up to stand beside Mu Yining, finally making his presence known. He bared his teeth at the seven men, signaling that he was thoroughly out of patience and they had better clear the road immediately.
Since someone… or rather, some dog, was willing to take over her job, she naturally had to give him a chance to show off.
“Alan, go sharpen your claws. Teach them how to be human. Hit them on the head as hard as you can—no biting allowed, it’s dirty. If you lose a single strand of fur or get even a scratch, there’ll be no meat for you today, not even vegetables.” Leaving behind the task, Mu Yining returned to the car to watch the show while enjoying the air conditioning.
“Wait, don’t leave, little sister!” Seeing her leave, they tried to stop her, but the dog in front of them looked so much like a wolf that none of them dared to move. With its teeth bared, one careless move and a single bite from that dog would end them.
The tall, skinny guy shifted slightly, and Alan immediately raised his front paw, lunged forward, and slapped him across the face, sending the guy rolling to the side.
Likely affected by the energy within the spatial domain, Alan spent all his time eating, sleeping, and hanging out inside, which doubled his vitality as a dog. He had grown considerably larger, and his fur had become increasingly glossy.
Seeing their buddy get beaten, the group stumbled back a few steps. This dog was way too fierce—they couldn’t handle it at all.
“What are you cowards afraid of? I fed you for nothing! Frightened of a mere beast?” The beer-bellied boss cursed his useless crew, grabbed his baseball bat, and charged toward Alan. However, with his plump, rounded body, before he could even gather momentum, Alan slammed right into him, followed by a swift claw to the face.
Seeing their boss end up in such a miserable state, the henchmen didn’t dare step in to help. Instantly losing their minds, they scattered and fled in all directions. But Alan wasn’t about to give them the chance—the sooner he finished this, the sooner he could go back inside to eat lunch.
Driven by motivation, Alan cast aside his lazy demeanor and bolted forward with fierce momentum. Catching up to each person, he landed a solid paw strike. In under a minute, all seven brothers were lying flat on the ground, groaning in agony.
