Inside the space, everything remained the same, except for the furniture she had collected and Alan. Only, Alan was currently nowhere to be seen, having wandered off somewhere.

“Alan, come out! Don’t run off wildly,” Mu Yining shouted out loud. In her timeline, she hadn’t been close with Alan for five years, and calling out so suddenly felt almost unfamiliar. However, in the days ahead, she was determined to live a good life alongside Alan.

In the distance, Alan came sprinting over like a giant white snowball, nearly knocking Mu Yining over.Full novel: The Max-Level Expert Overthrew the Apocalypse — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Alan was holding a fish in his mouth, his hindquarters and tail wiggling in sync. *Thwack…* He flipped the fish onto the ground, showing off to Mu Yining.

“You’ve got quite the skills, don’t you? Where did you find this?” Mu Yining looked at Alan’s trophy. The fish’s tail was still flopping repeatedly on the ground, so she figured it must have come from the river at the foot of the mountain.

Just as Mu Yining was wondering how to head over and take a look—since it was quite a distance away—the next second, she found herself standing by the river. As it turned out, the space moved according to her intent.

The river water was crystal clear, roughly a meter deep and seven to eight meters wide. It appeared to flow down from the mountains, its end stretching beyond the horizon. What surprised Mu Yining even more was that the river held not only various shapes of fish, but also shrimp and crabs. Once she placed the seafood she bought into the river, she would likely have an endless supply of seafood for the rest of her life!

Mu Yining scooped up a bit of water with her hands and tasted it with the tip of her tongue. It was sweet and crisp, far tastier than any water outside!

Next, she thought about heading up the mountain, and sure enough, she instantaneously teleported to the peak. Walking down along the mountain trail, she found that there were even birds in the mountains. Crisp, lively bird calls echoed throughout the valley, with every plant and tree radiating vitality, accompanied by occasional wafts of floral fragrance. Mu Yining casually scattered some fruit tree seeds across the mountain, letting them grow naturally.

Returning to the foot of the mountain, she used her intent once more to organize the items she had brought in, arranging them all inside the courtyard. She cleared large plots of land around the courtyard: the northern side was divided into neat grid sections meant for growing vegetables, while the southern side was fenced off with several enclosures to house the livestock once they arrived. Behind the house, she prepared open ground for cultivating coarse grains and wheat.

After finishing all of this, Mu Yining didn’t feel tired at all. She merely had to use her mind, and the space would carry out everything according to her will.

Now, basic food supplies were mostly prepared, ensuring she wouldn’t starve at the very least, and there was a water source available. However, when traveling alone outside, she still needed to stock up on bottled mineral water to avoid raising suspicion from those with ulterior motives.

Being a farmer for the first time in this life didn’t feel too bad!

Watching Alan desperately wanting to eat the fish but not knowing where to bite, Mu Yining finally showed the happiest smile she had worn since her rebirth. She had no intention of going back outside for now; it was already late at night out there, and staying in a hotel, no one would likely disturb her.

Gathering a pile of wood, she lit a fire. Only then did Mu Yining realize she should stock up on plenty of charcoal. After the apocalypse, temperatures would fluctuate wildly between hot and cold, making heating supplies essential. She noted this requirement in her mind, planning to collect some once she went back out.

Alan fetched a few more fish. Mu Yining retrieved some seasonings from the items she brought from home, and person and dog began eating grilled fish together. Perhaps because the fish came from the space, the flavor was exceptionally delicious and the meat tender, leaving a mouthwatering aftertaste. This was the best meal Mu Yining had eaten in five years. Deciding never to mistreat herself again, she decisively called Alan to catch a few more fish and kept eating!

“You really are a clever little creature, pretty good at catching fish,” Mu Yining casually praised Alan. Hearing this, Alan swung his big head and began nuzzling against Mu Yining.

“Hold still! Move again and you won’t get any meat!” Understanding her words, Alan obediently lay down to the side, gazing at the scenery within the space.

There was no distinction between day and night in the space; as long as Mu Yining desired it, the space could switch to any time’s scenery. The temperature was just right, so Mu Yining lay down casually on the grass, falling asleep accompanied by the fresh scent of greenery.
