Destiny stared at the glowing machine.
The blue crystals surrounding it pulsed with energy. Strange symbols covered the walls, and several old military uniforms lay scattered across the floor.

[Accessing encrypted records...]
[Access denied.]
[System authority insufficient.]
"Insufficient authority?" Destiny repeated. "What does that mean?"
[The archive was created by a previous Military System Commander.]
Destiny's eyes widened.
"Previous commander?"
Before the system could respond, the machine activated.
A holographic figure appeared above the central platform. He was a tall man wearing a dark military uniform, with silver hair and a scar running across his face.
"If you are seeing this recording, then the invasion has begun again."
The figure paused.
"My name is General Alexander. I was the last commander of Earth's military system."
Destiny stepped closer.
"Earth had another commander?"
The recording continued.
"The Military System was created to unite humanity against an enemy that existed beyond our world. The Monster King is one of the beings leading that enemy."
The hologram flickered.
"During the first invasion, humanity was nearly destroyed. We managed to seal the Monster King beneath the planet, but the system was damaged in the process."
Destiny's expression became serious.
"Then why did it choose me?"
The hologram seemed to look directly at him.
"The system does not choose the strongest person. It chooses someone capable of building strength in others."
A new notification appeared.

[New Information Available: Commander Alexander's Final Operation.]
The hologram began to distort.
"Commander, if you wish to save Earth, you must find the Seven Military Relics. They were scattered across the world after the first invasion. Together, they can strengthen the system enough to challenge the Monster King."
The recording ended.
Destiny stood silently.
Seven relics. A previous commander. A sealed enemy.
The world was much larger and more dangerous than he had imagined.
Suddenly, Isaac's voice came through the communication device.
"Sir! We have a problem. Our energy shield is losing power, and something is approaching the fortress!"
Destiny turned toward the exit.
"How powerful?"
Isaac hesitated.
"System readings indicate a B-rank monster."
Destiny's expression hardened.
"Everyone, return to Wolf Fortress. We have a battle waiting for us."
