Seeing that Lu Yichen still said nothing, Su Jingyan grew a little angry. He lowered his head, picked up a piece of meat with his chopsticks, and put it directly into Lu Yichen’s mouth.

Lu Yichen was unprepared, and the meat was already in his mouth before he could react.

Su Jingyan looked like a child who had stolen a snack. Seeing Lu Yichen’s bewildered expression, he smiled heartily.Full novel: The Paranoid Bosses Are All My Boyfriend — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Then he took another piece of meat and stuffed it straight into his own mouth, chewing.

He wasn’t disgusted at all by the thought that Lu Yichen’s saliva might be on the chopsticks, and he ate happily.

Watching Su Jingyan’s throat bulge slightly as he swallowed, Lu Yichen’s Adam’s apple moved too.

Senior…

Su Jingyan watched Lu Yichen freeze in place, then picked up a strawberry and pushed it toward his mouth.

Lu Yichen bit into the strawberry. His body trembled uncontrollably, and he tilted his head down slightly, as if trying to suppress his emotions.

I’m so happy.

Tsk.

Beneath this seemingly peaceful surface, an ugly soul was being cleansed.

Two people and one orange cat, all eating from the same bento.

After finally finishing the big bento meal, Su Jingyan burped, touched Gulu’s swollen belly, and his doe eyes curved again.

It was almost time for the noon self-study period.

Su Jingyan was a little reluctant, but he put Gulu down anyway and started to stand up.

Perhaps because he had been sitting for so long, as soon as he stood up his head spun, his vision went dark, and his whole body swayed, listing slightly to one side.

Lu Yichen was quick of hand and eye, and he wrapped his arms around Su Jingyan’s waist.

Su Jingyan was unsteady and fell straight into his arms, his chin knocking hard against Lu Yichen’s chest. He instinctively hugged Lu Yichen’s back so that he wouldn’t fall any worse.

Lu Yichen’s body was very cold, unlike the warmth of a normal person.

Su Jingyan raised his head in pain and looked at Lu Yichen with wide-open eyes.

Senior’s body is really soft.

Heh.

Su Jingyan, who was already thin-skinned, blushed again. He scrambled out of the boy’s arms, flustered, and stammered, “Th-then I’m going to class, goodbye!”

After he spoke, he picked up the bento box and bag from the ground and walked out of the forest in a panic, covering his red cheek with one hand, practically fleeing.

Lu Yichen stood frozen, watching the back of the person who had run away from shyness, and narrowed his eyes in satisfaction.

“Meow.” Gulu called out in a low voice. The tail that had been raised drooped again, and its whole body shrank into a ball, not daring to move.

Lu Yichen glanced at it and sneered.

Gulu stiffened even more.

But this time, the boy did nothing. He kept staring in a daze in the direction Su Jingyan had gone. The next second, he vanished completely on the spot, as if he had never been there.

Song Keyin took out her diary and, relying on her memory, began to frantically recall the list of people who had been killed one after another over the past few days.

The first to die had been a junior in high school named Lu Qingye, the captain of the school’s cheerleading team. She was very tall, and her height and figure were only a little short of a supermodel’s.

She had been very outstanding.

At this thought, Song Keyin frowned slightly.

Wait.

It seems Lu Qingye will be found dead in the cheerleading practice room tomorrow…

Song Keyin’s heart seized, then suddenly sank, and her heartbeat began to race.

This afternoon, Senior Su Jingyan would have a physical education class.

Then, while the senior was finishing a one-kilometer run, he would accidentally fall and scrape his knee.

Lu Qingye would happen to pass by at that moment. Unable to stop herself, she would brush off everyone else’s help, pick him up herself, and take him to the infirmary.

Song Keyin wasn’t sure whether Lu Qingye had confessed her love, but the one thing she was sure of was that Lu Qingye had stayed alone in the infirmary with the senior for almost half an hour before leaving.

That gossip spread across the whole school that day.

The next day, Lu Qingye was found dead in the school’s cheerleading practice room…

Song Keyin felt as if her head were about to explode, and the veins on her forehead almost burst.

Looking back on it now, it had clearly been a warning from the devil, a threat to anyone who had improper thoughts about the senior. That was why he had deliberately killed people inside the school and not anywhere outside it.

Song Keyin held her breath for a moment, and her breathing turned a little ragged.

What do I do now?

How can I stop that devil?

I don’t even know what he looks like!

At the thought, Song Keyin trembled with anger. Beyond that, she also felt the fear of the unknown, the fear of being controlled. She really didn’t want to go through it a second time.

“It’s so strange!” Chu Yanyan said to herself.

Song Keyin asked quickly, “What’s so strange?”

“I’ve seen so many students this morning, but no one has figured out who that boy is. Don’t you think that’s strange?”

After all, everything about Su Jingyan was considered school-wide gossip, and any trivial matter that didn’t involve his privacy was easily picked up by the students.

This was the first time that a whole morning had passed and people still didn’t know who that boy was.

Song Keyin’s eyes flickered slightly. Without letting on what she was thinking, she replied in a low voice, “It really is strange.”

“No way, Mr. Wang! Another running test?” The third and fourth senior classes wailed in unspeakable suffering.

The third year of high school was already exhausting, with piles of homework and test papers. Apart from going to the bathroom after class, everyone basically sat obediently in their seats and studied frantically. When they got tired, they went to look at the class pet, who was studying hard, so that they would have the motivation to study again.

Physical education class was the best time for them to relax, so seeing that this one would be spent running, how could they not cry?

Teacher Wang, the physical education teacher, was a muscular but somewhat rounded middle-aged man. He wore a whistle around his neck and held a list of test scores in his hand. Everyone knew the test couldn’t be changed, but they still protested and wouldn’t stop wailing.

Teacher Wang was all smiles. This was his favorite class because, like everyone else, he was very fond of Su Jingyan.

He pretended to cough twice and sighed, “There’s nothing I can do about it. They say that seniors aren’t physically strong and don’t get enough exercise, so we’ll be handing in your test scores every now and then.”

When he finished speaking, everyone wailed again.

Su Jingyan couldn’t ride a bicycle, and in fact his motor skills were very poor. At first glance, people thought that his long, slender legs meant his movements must be very coordinated, but the reality was the complete opposite.

Making him run could take half his life, so, however fond of him the physical education teacher was, Su Jingyan had disliked physical education since childhood.

Teacher Wang looked over everyone’s expressions and blew his whistle, signaling for quiet, and everyone tactfully stopped talking.

“Stretch for three minutes first, and then the boys will run first.”

Su Jingyan’s face turned even paler.

He reluctantly stretched his legs to loosen his stiff muscles, forcing a smile.

Too difficult.

Su Jingyan couldn’t help but grumble in his head.

At Teacher Wang’s whistle, the boys ran off like crazed cheetahs.

Su Jingyan ran silently in last place. Before he had finished even a few steps, he was already sweating all over, and his head had begun to feel dizzy. He gritted his teeth and insisted on running forward.

There were already many people watching the physical education class. When Su Jingyan ran, he didn’t know how many pairs of eyes were fixed on him. The onlookers were full of excitement and kept bumping into one another.

Today was another day to see Senior Su Jingyan’s beauty.

So happy!

Compared to the others’ excitement, Su Jingyan was in misery. After running only part of a lap, his face was already flushed with heat and his steps were unsteady.

He gritted his teeth and persisted, even as his ears began to ring.

“Huff, huff…”

Su Jingyan panted.

The sports committee member, who ran fast, was in first place and far ahead of everyone. He passed Su Jingyan, brushing shoulders with him, with only one lap left to go.

Knowing Su Jingyan’s athletic ability, the sports committee member gasped and shouted as he ran, “Su Jingyan, you can do it!”

Su Jingyan’s legs were trembling, but he kept chasing.

Slowly, more and more boys rushed past Su Jingyan on both sides, sprinting toward the finish line.

“Su Jingyan, you can do it!”

“Su Jingyan, go!”

“Su Jingyan, hold on!”

All the people rushing toward the finish line yelled at Su Jingyan as they passed him.

Su Jingyan nodded vaguely in response when he heard their voices and kept pushing forward on trembling legs.

No one knew who had started it, but the whole playground rang out in unison, “Su Jingyan! You can do it!”

Out of the corner of his eye, Su Jingyan even saw Teacher Wang, his physical education teacher, shouting along with the crowd of young people.

The shouts were earth-shattering, and the students inside the building couldn’t help leaning against the windows when they heard the name “Su Jingyan.”

Just a little farther to the finish line!

Su Jingyan gritted his teeth and began to sprint the last 100 meters.

He didn’t know whether he had stepped on something, but his right foot twisted and his whole body lurched forward uncontrollably. As he was about to fall onto the plastic track, gasps rose from all around.

No one knew who it was, but someone with sharp hands and quick eyes rushed over like a gust of wind before anyone could react. Darting in between Su Jingyan and the track, that person forcibly made himself a human cushion.

When Su Jingyan fell, he clearly heard a “thump,” and even the rattling sound of his head hitting the other person. He couldn’t imagine how badly the person acting as his cushion had been hurt.

Su Jingyan’s legs trembled, and so did his hands. His face was flushed for no reason, and he was gasping for breath. All the air he exhaled blew onto the person he was pinning down.

Finally, the onlookers nearby reacted and rushed onto the track in a swarm.

The whole field fell into incoherent panic.

Su Jingyan raised his head slightly, still in a trance, and his little doe eyes met a pair of eyes so empty they could hardly focus.

It was Lu Yichen.
