When Chen Sisi grabbed the file, Lin Yu saw clearly that it was the fourth one.
Ever since inheriting the legacy of an ancient master, he had possessed a photographic memory, so he remembered the address perfectly.
However, since Lin Yu was taking the bus, he was obviously not going to be as fast as Chen Sisi in her car.
While Lin Yu was still on his way, Chen Sisi had already parked in front of Dynasty Bar.
She got out, debt notice in hand, and entered.
Inside, attractive young men and women were dancing on the floor, while plenty of others drank at the tables below.
Just then, a flamboyantly dressed young man walked over, shamelessly sizing up Chen Sisi.
In her business attire, Chen Sisi looked both beautiful and competent.
The young man licked his dry lips and smiled.
“Hey, beautiful.
Can I buy you a drink?”
Chen Sisi eyed him warily and frowned.
“I don’t drink.”
With that, Chen Sisi walked straight over to a waiter.
“Excuse me, is your manager here?”
The waiter saw the young man shooting him a meaningful glance and offered a placid smile.
“Miss, Brother Yang is our manager here.
You can talk to him about anything you need.”
“Who’s Brother Yang?” Chen Sisi asked.
The waiter pointed to the flamboyantly dressed young man.
Just then, Yang Kun’kun walked over himself, his eyes burning with desire.
“Miss, I’m the manager here.
What can I do for you?”
Seeing that this was no place to discuss business, Chen Sisi said, “Let’s talk in your office.
It’s too loud out here.”
Yang Kun’kun’s eyes lit up, and he quickly grinned.
“Great!
Let’s go talk somewhere else, then.”
Yang Kun’kun led Chen Sisi to his office.
When she wasn’t looking, he locked the door behind them and then sat down in his chair.
“Now, miss, we have all the time in the world to talk.”
Chen Sisi placed the file in front of Yang Kun’kun.
“Your Dynasty Bar owes our Dingsheng Group a final payment of eight million that still hasn’t been settled.”
“I’m here today to have you settle that final payment.”
Dingsheng Group had handled the construction of Dynasty Bar several years ago.
Ever since construction was completed, Dynasty Bar had consistently used various excuses to avoid paying the final balance.
Over time, the debt had become uncollectible.
Yang Kun’kun’s expression darkened, clearly displeased.
“So, you’re here for money?”
Chen Sisi nodded.
“Yes.
Please inform your boss.”
Yang Kun’kun pretended not to hear, his gaze roving over Chen Sisi’s body and growing increasingly feverish.
He got up, took out two wine glasses, and a bottle of red wine.
With his back to Chen Sisi, he poured two glasses of wine, surreptitiously dropping a small pill into one of them.
He swirled the glasses, placed one in front of Chen Sisi, and held on to the other.
“I can tell my boss to pay up, but first, you have to drink this.”
“Otherwise, this conversation is over.”
Chen Sisi took two steps back, her guard up.
“I told you, I don’t drink.”
“Please call your boss now, or just give me his number.”
Yang Kun’kun just chuckled.
“It seems you didn’t understand me.
Drink the wine, and then I’ll do my part.”
Chen Sisi was extremely reluctant, but when she thought about her current predicament, she grew resentful.
Lu Chunxue was clearly making things difficult for her and Lin Yu on purpose, but Sisi had a strong-willed personality and was determined to complete her task no matter what.
Gritting her teeth, she picked up the glass and downed it in one gulp.
“Can you call your boss now?”
Seeing the blush spreading across Chen Sisi’s face, Yang Kun’kun’s eyes gleamed like a starving wolf’s.
“No rush.
Let’s wait a little longer.”
“How much longer do you want me to wait?” A wave of dizziness suddenly washed over Chen Sisi.
She swayed, grabbing a nearby chair to keep from falling.
Her strength was draining away, bit by bit.
She could no longer stay on her feet and collapsed to the floor.
Through her blurry vision, she saw Yang Kun’kun walking toward her with a lecherous smirk on his face.
“You!
You… you’re despicable,” Chen Sisi choked out, utterly despairing.
…
Lin Yu got off the bus, crossed the street, and walked straight into Dynasty Bar.
He found a waiter and asked, “Excuse me, did you see a young woman in business attire come in a little while ago?”
The waiter Lin Yu approached happened to be the same one Chen Sisi had spoken to earlier.
The waiter’s eyes darted away.
“Didn’t see anyone like that.”
Seeing that Lin Yu was dressed plainly and clearly wasn’t wealthy, the waiter couldn’t be bothered with him and turned to leave.
“You’re lying.” Lin Yu’s perception was sharp; he could tell with a single glance that the waiter wasn’t being truthful.
Under Lin Yu’s stare, the waiter felt a chill run down his spine and couldn’t help but tell the truth.
“That woman… our manager took her to his office.”
“Where’s your manager’s office?” Lin Yu demanded, his voice urgent.
The waiter pointed.
“Over there.”
Lin Yu dashed in that direction.
When he reached the manager’s office, he tried the door and, finding it locked, pounded on it several times.
Yang Kun’kun was just unbuckling his belt.
Hearing the knocking, he cursed in a rage, “Who the fuck is it?
I’m busy!
Don’t fucking bother me!”
“Busy with your mother’s ass!” Lin Yu kicked the door off its hinges and stormed into the office.
When he saw Chen Sisi lying unconscious on the sofa, her clothes half-removed, he erupted in fury.
“You animal.”
Seeing Lin Yu dressed like some common repairman, Yang Kun’kun’s anger flared.
“Who the fuck are you?” he snarled.
“You dare interrupt my fun?
I’ll fucking kill you!”
“I’m your daddy.” Lin Yu lunged forward and viciously slapped Yang Kun’kun across the face.
The blow completely mangled one side of Yang Kun’kun’s face and sent several of his teeth flying.
Clutching his face, Yang Kun’kun screamed in pain, snatched up the phone, and quickly dialed a number.
“Security?
Get everyone to my office right now!
Bring as many men as you can!
Hurry!”
Hanging up, Yang Kun’kun looked at Lin Yu with fear in his eyes.
“Who are you?
Give me your name.”
“Didn’t I tell you?
I’m your daddy.” Lin Yu kicked Yang Kun’kun in the stomach, sending him flying.
CRASH!
Yang Kun’kun slammed into the wall, knocking over a potted plant as he fell.
Yang Kun’kun howled in pain, his vision starting to go black.
“You motherfucker!
You just wait!
My men are on their way!”
“It doesn’t matter how many people you call.” The sight of Chen Sisi’s disheveled clothes made Lin Yu’s rage impossible to suppress.
“Is that so?
We’ll see if you can still talk so tough when they get here,” Yang Kun’kun said maliciously.
A burst of frantic footsteps echoed from outside, and a dozen or so security guards, led by a bald, tattooed man, stormed into the office and surrounded Lin Yu.
“If you’d been any later, he would’ve beaten me to death!” Seeing his men arrive, Yang Kun’kun’s bravado returned.
“Young Master Kun, sorry, we’re late.”
“Punk, you hit Young Master Kun.
There’s no way we’re letting you off the hook.”
The bald, tattooed man pointed menacingly at Lin Yu, then gave a sharp wave of his hand.
