The woman hesitated for a moment. “He runs a café on Wutong Road called Yangyang Café. His surname is Yang.”
Yun Shu made a note of it. “Alright, I’ll go find him for you. Sister, you have to take good care of yourself—don’t ever try to hurt yourself again, okay?”
Even though she knew the woman couldn’t control herself when her illness acted up, she still couldn’t help but remind her.
“Thank you, Yun Shu,” the woman said. Yun Shu’s visit today rekindled her will to live. She wanted to get better and avenge her sister.
She was living in such pain—why should that family live so comfortably?
In her brief moment of clarity, many thoughts ran through her mind. She had to find a way to escape this hospital, or she would be wasting Yun Shu’s kindness.
“Sister, how should I address you? When I meet the café owner, how should I introduce you?”
“My surname is Lin. My name is Lin Man. My mother’s name is Lin Nan. If you mention Lin Nan, he should understand.”
“Alright, sister. I’ll go now. I’ll come visit you another day.”

Yun Shu walked out of the ward and let out a long breath of relief.
Back in her room, she changed out of her hospital gown into a white dress and braided her hair into two loose fishtail braids resting on her shoulders.
As she passed the nurse’s station, a nurse called out to her, “Yun Shu, where are you going?”
“Nurse Zhang, I have something to take care of. I’ll be back soon.”
“Be careful, don’t stay out too long. If you feel unwell, come back to the hospital immediately, okay?”
Yun Shu gave her a sweet smile and nodded obediently. “Got it. Thank you, Nurse Zhang.”
“Alright, go on!” Such a lovable girl, just like a little sister next door.

The elevator doors opened. Shi Muchuan and the vice director were discussing a patient’s case when they looked up and saw the girl standing at the door, smiling brightly with a cat in her arms.
Yun Shu was about to step in happily when she saw Doctor Shi and several other doctors inside.
She politely smiled and greeted them, “Hello, Doctor Shi.”
The vice director beside him looked at her with a kind smile. Such a beautiful girl—does she know Director Shi?
He couldn’t help but size her up. Not bad—looks-wise, they match quite well. Though, isn’t she a bit too thin?
Shi Muchuan stepped out of the elevator first, followed by the vice director and the other doctors.
Standing by the buttons, he pressed the down button for her and said gently, “Go ahead.”
“Thank you.” Yun Shu gave a small bow and stepped into the elevator.
Facing him, she waved with a sweet smile as the doors slowly closed.
As the elevator descended, the vice director teased, “Oh? Since when did Director Shi get to know such a pretty young girl?”
Shi Muchuan knew he had misunderstood and said helplessly, “She’s my patient. Congenital heart disease. She was just brought in for emergency treatment a few days ago, and I’m currently in charge of her case.”
“Oh, I see. Then her condition…” The group continued discussing as they walked into Shi Muchuan’s office.
“Master, you just received two more favorability points.”
“Huh?” Yun Shu was surprised. She hadn’t really met anyone just now…

Reaching the roadside, she hailed a taxi. After getting in, she told the driver the address and quietly sat in the back seat holding the cat.

The car soon arrived at Wutong Road. After paying the driver, she stood at the entrance of Yangyang Café and looked inside.
Through the large glass windows, she could see it was filled with people drinking coffee.
She pushed the door open and walked in. The rich aroma of coffee and baked goods filled the air, making her want to order a cup—but unfortunately, she couldn’t drink coffee.
Yun Shu walked up to the cashier counter. Seeing the cashier busy, she didn’t want to interrupt and simply stood there quietly.
The cashier glanced up at her amid the rush. “Are you here to pay?”
Yun Shu shook her head. “No, I’m looking for your boss. Is he here?”
“Oh, the boss? Ask that tall guy over there—that’s our manager.” The cashier pointed to a tall man wiping a table for customers.
“Okay, thank you.”
Yun Shu waited until the manager finished cleaning the table before walking over.
“Hello, are you the manager here?”
The man looked at her briefly and nodded. “Yes, I am. What can I help you with?”
“A friend asked me to come here to find your boss, Mr. Yang. Could you help me contact him? It’s something urgent.”
The manager hesitated. “The boss isn’t in today. I’m not sure when he’ll be back, but I can call him first.”
“That would be great, thank you. Once the call connects, could I speak with him?”
“Sure, come with me.”
The manager led her to a small courtyard behind the kitchen and took out his phone to call the boss.
Once the call connected, the manager spoke briefly, and it seemed the other party agreed. He then handed the phone to Yun Shu.
Yun Shu walked a little farther away before speaking, “Hello, Uncle Yang. I’ve come on behalf of someone to find you. Do you know a woman named Lin Nan?”
There was silence on the other end. She thought the call had dropped, but when she checked, it was still connected.
She didn’t rush him and waited quietly.
“Are you… at my café right now?” the man’s hoarse voice finally asked.
“Yes, I’m at your café on Wutong Road.”
“Alright. Young lady, wait there for me. I’ll be there in about 20 to 30 minutes.”
“Okay, I’ll wait here. There’s no need to rush—I won’t leave.”
After hanging up, Yun Shu returned the phone to the manager.
The manager led her to an empty table outside in the main hall and asked what she would like to drink. Yun Shu smiled and said a glass of plain water would be enough.
So she sat there, sipping water. After about twenty minutes, she saw a middle-aged man hurriedly push the door open and walk in.
