Su Jingxue walked toward her, holding a massive wolfdog on a leash. Su Mengyao looked anxious as she hurriedly tried to stop him.
“Third Brother, let’s not go over there. Sister will be scared. What if she accidentally falls into the pool again? Sister can’t swim.”
The more Su Jingxue heard this, the more excited he became.
“Even if she falls in, she’ll only swallow a few mouthfuls of water. It’s not like she’ll die.”
As he spoke, he actually released the leash.
The huge wolfdog lunged straight at Su Ni, with the swimming pool directly behind her.
Everything was exactly the same as it had been five years ago.
Seeing the wolfdog charging toward her, Su Ni nimbly sidestepped. At the same time, a flash of silver glinted between her fingertips.
The wolfdog missed its target. The instant it landed, it whipped around and lunged at her again, baring its teeth.
Su Ni waited for the perfect moment. Just as the wolfdog leaped into the air, she grabbed it by the neck and slammed it viciously against the edge of the pool.
“Aw-woo!”
The wolfdog howled in pain, then opened its jaws and lunged at Su Ni again.
The silver needle in Su Ni’s hand flashed as she drove it viciously into the wolfdog’s eye. It plunged straight into its skull, and blood immediately gushed out, splattering across Su Ni’s face.
“AWOOOO!!!”
The wolfdog’s agonized howls sent shivers down the spines of the servants nearby.
After dealing with the huge wolfdog, Su Ni turned around and looked coldly at Su Jingxue.
The bloody scene had left Su Jingxue weak in the knees. He turned and tried to run, but Su Ni closed the distance like a ghost.
She grabbed him by the arm and used his own momentum to hurl him viciously into the swimming pool.
“Splash!”
Su Jingxue landed in the water in a thoroughly pathetic heap.
He struggled desperately, and just as his head broke the surface, Su Ni picked up the bamboo pole he had prepared earlier and, without hesitation, slammed it down, forcing him underwater again.
“Help! Help!” Su Jingxue screamed in terror, flailing wildly as he swallowed mouthful after mouthful of water.
He had deliberately ordered the pool to be filled to the brim just to torment Su Ni.
Su Mengyao, standing nearby, was horrified by the scene. Her face went pale as she screamed for help.
“Someone! Help! Save him!”
Seeing that Su Ni had her back to her, Su Mengyao’s eyes darted around. She shouted, “Sister, don’t do this! Third Brother is going to die!” and charged straight at Su Ni.
It was as though Su Ni had eyes in the back of her head. She sidestepped the attack with ease.
Then, just as Su Mengyao tried to regain her balance, Su Ni kicked her hard in the calf.
Su Mengyao’s leg went weak, and her entire body toppled toward the pool.
“Splash!”
She landed directly on top of Su Jingxue, who had just surfaced, and the two of them sank beneath the water together.
“Help! Glub, glub, glub!”
Terrified, Su Mengyao wrapped both arms around Su Jingxue’s neck and climbed onto him.
Poor Su Jingxue had barely managed to surface before being forced underwater again, swallowing another bellyful of water.
Hearing the commotion, Mother Su came running over. The moment she saw the two struggling in the pool and the bamboo pole in Su Ni’s hand, she screamed.
“Su Ni! What are you doing?”
“Splash! Splash!”
Seven or eight servants jumped into the pool to rescue them.
Seeing that they had suffered enough, Su Ni casually tossed the bamboo pole aside.
Before long, the two were pulled out of the water.
By then, Su Jingxue’s face was as pale as paper. He gasped for breath, his body covered in injuries, looking utterly miserable.
Su Mengyao was hardly any better. Her hair hung in disarray around her face, and she hugged herself as she trembled violently, her eyes filled with terror and lingering fear.
Mother Su rushed to their side in distress, looking first at Su Jingxue, then at Su Mengyao, all the while hurling curses at Su Ni.
“You vicious little monster! You were trying to kill them!”
Su Ni watched everything coldly.
“They only swallowed a few mouthfuls of water. It’s not like they died.”
