The usually honest and obedient Wen Song was so shocked by Guan Sui’s words that he instantly lost the ability to resist. The next second, the other man raised his head and showered dense kisses across his eyelids, the tip of his nose, his cheeks, his earlobes, and his lips.
The Alpha’s pheromones seemed to scorch his exposed, pale skin. Touch by touch, skin-on-skin contact felt like electric currents. Wen Song had never experienced anything this stimulating, and a few muffled gasps spilled from his throat.
“Don’t.” He turned his head away and bit his lower lip.
He tried to use the pain to resist the drug gradually volatilizing inside his body.
Unfortunately, his consciousness had long since scattered, making it impossible to resist even a fraction of it as he craved an Alpha’s touch.
Guan Sui pinned Wen Song’s wrists with one hand and cuffed them above his head. His pheromones had nowhere to hide, released recklessly to flood the pitch-black room, declaring it a private territory and his home turf.
“You’re burning up.”
His other hand gently cupped Wen Song’s flushed cheek with his palm, and he lowered his head, the tip of his nose lightly rubbing against the side of the other man’s neck to feel his pulse, sniffing deeply like a large dog encountering a favorite toy.
Kisses fell like a rainstorm onto his neck, collarbone, chest, and shoulders.
Guan Sui took a deep breath against the side of Wen Song’s neck.
“It smells really good.”
Tears born of physiological reflex welled up in the corners of Wen Song’s eyes as he emphasized, “I’m a beta.”
He didn’t have pheromones.
It couldn’t possibly smell good.
Nor did he have any aphrodisiac effect.
An Alpha in the rut phase could not receive any pheromone soothing from him.
He wanted to refuse Guan Sui’s physical contact, but the other man’s skin was cool, and pressing against it felt comfortable. The ball of fire inside his body spread toward his limbs, devouring his struggling, desperate grip on reason.
Suddenly, Wen Song’s hand was released by Guan Sui. The next second, a sudden sense of weightlessness struck. Desperate for a lifeline, he quickly reached out to wrap his arms around the neck of the Alpha who had scooped him up horizontally.
The man carried him step by step toward the bed.
When he was gently set down, Wen Song felt completely dizzy, his throat so parched that he craved an oasis for comfort.
“Do you want to?” Guan Sui’s well-proportioned, cool fingers touched the eyelids and cheeks of the Beta in his arms.
“I’ll give you three seconds to refuse.”
“1”
“2”
Wen Song closed his eyes.
Interpreting this behavior from the other person as consent, before Guan Sui could even count to 3, he reached out to his hem, cleanly and decisively stripped off his top, and tossed it aside.
Guan Sui noticed that Wen Song’s expressions and movements were so green and inexperienced, not at all resembling the posture of someone who had cohabited with a boyfriend for a few years.
Even at the very beginning, it took a long time for him to adapt.
“Zhao Mingzhuo never touched you?” He paused, lowered his head, and pressed his thumb against Wen Song’s lips, then immediately moved away the back of the hand that had been covering and blocking his eyes.
Tears born of physiological reflex brimmed in the corners of the other’s eyes.
Hearing Guan Sui’s words, his body trembled as he continued to cry.
This behavior made Guan Sui, who was already in the middle of his rut phase, quite displeased. His thumb wiped away the moisture. “If he never touched you, what are you crying for?”
Wen Song turned his head away, his palm pushing against the stopped Guan Sui, and groped downward along the other’s tight, well-defined muscle lines.
“No.”
“You didn’t wear one.”
Guan Sui questioned with silence.
“Don’t worry.”
“I don’t have any diseases.”
“Just like you, it’s my first time. We’re even.”
Wen Song didn’t mind at all. Although Betas were not naturally suited for this the way Omegas were, and the probability was very low, if precautions weren’t taken properly, who knew that they might have bad luck and hit the jackpot on the first try.
His consciousness was gradually returning. Once he reacted and noticed that the Alpha before him was Guan Sui, a sense of shame and condemnation rose up in his heart.
He actually slept with Guan Sui.
Enduring the distorted sounds spilling from his throat, Wen Song pushed against the shifting Guan Sui and said very calmly,
“Get out.”
“I don’t want this anymore.”
Now that the drug’s effects were mostly resolved, he was burning the bridge after crossing it. Guan Sui wasn’t going to pamper him; trying to treat him as an antidote and then running away simply wouldn’t work.
After all, Wen Song was the one who had delivered himself right to his doorstep during his rut phase.
There was no way he was going to let him go.
“No way.”
“Don’t negotiate with an Alpha in his rut.”
Because an Alpha only wanted to melt the person in his arms into his very flesh and blood.
Guan Sui picked up the puddle-like Wen Song and continued, completely blocking every single word of refusal with actions that made it impossible to speak a complete sentence anymore.
The room remained pitch black.
Compared to the previous silence, there were now some uncontrollable, ambiguous sounds.
The tequila in the air thoroughly entangled the two of them, making no distinction between yours and mine, plunging them into a sustained intoxication.
An Alpha in his rut would act on instinct to bite his partner’s gland and leave behind pheromones as a mark. Alas, Wen Song was a Beta and had no gland; even if the back of his neck was bitten raw, it couldn’t retain the scent of tequila.
The night was very long.
Wen Song completely passed out before this absurd exchange finally came to an end.
The Next Day
When Wen Song woke up, his whole body felt as sore as if he had been run over by a large truck.
His limbs felt like old parts that would be exceptionally difficult to reassemble; even slightly lifting an arm hurt so much that he couldn’t help frowning and holding his breath, and his lower body felt close to immovable.
His body, however, was quite refreshed without any sticky sensation.
He felt as though he had been soaking in tequila all night long.
Only the pain on his body, the pheromones, and the marks reminded Wen Song of what had happened last night.
No one told him.
That a top-tier Alpha who had never tasted meat before could be this fierce.
Of course, this kind of situation probably depended on individual constitution. Wen Song had disliked exercising since he was a child, and during his school days, he disliked sports classes and sports meets even more, having never exercised much. Therefore, he was aching all over after a night of intense physical activity.
As for his backside, actually, it was alright.
There was no discomfort from over-expansion.
It was evident that Guan Sui had properly cleaned him up after it was all over.
Thinking about last night’s events, Wen Song began to find himself in a difficult spot.
This matter couldn’t entirely be blamed on Guan Sui, since it was he who had gone to the wrong room in the first place, coincidentally running into an Alpha who was equally out of his mind and in his rut.
He treated Guan Sui as an antidote, and the other treated him as a suppressant.
They were even.
It was just that the relationship of having slept together could not be resolved so easily after all.
Wen Song felt that he was truly facing a dilemma this time around.
To think that the one-night-stand Alpha was Guan Sui.
He was the true young master of Suicheng with top-tier pheromones, who was bad-tempered, cold, unapproachable, and moreover, the good friend of his boyfriend, Zhao Mingzhuo.
He was the very Alpha Wen Song had wanted to stay away from the moment he first laid eyes on him.
However, the situation back then wasn’t something either of them could control.
One was drugged, and the other was in the middle of an Alpha’s rut.
In other words, Wen Song’s situation was that he had delivered himself to Guan Sui’s doorstep to serve as a suppressant.
If it hadn’t been for his dizziness, he wouldn’t have gone to the wrong room, nor would he have provoked an Alpha in a rut who was unable to vent.
“You’re awake?” At that moment, the bathroom door opened, and Guan Sui walked out wearing a bathrobe.
When Wen Song’s gaze made contact with the two distinct bite marks on the other’s exposed collarbone, he quietly looked away again.
Although most of last night’s events were hazy because of the drug, the only person besides himself who could leave marks on an Alpha’s body was him.
“About last night.”
He drew out his tone, raising his gaze to observe Guan Sui’s expression.
Discovering that the other party had no intention of proactively discussing what happened last night, he continued to voice his own thoughts.
“I’m sorry,” Wen Song said very sincerely.
“I hope we can just pretend nothing ever happened.”
