"Smack!" The crisp sound of the slap startled everyone in the store.

"Xia You, what are you doing?!" Xia Mu shouted angrily.

Xia You immediately followed up with another slap across Xia Mu's face.Full novel: The True Heiress Returns from Prison: Her Four Brothers Beg for Forgiveness on Their Knees — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

"Smack!"

Xia You: "Don't worry, you get one too."

She then turned her gaze to Xia Shu, who was frozen in shock, and delivered a backhanded slap. "And you as well."

"Smack!"

The brothers had never imagined Xia You would hit them.

And the slaps were fast and vicious.

They didn't even have time to react!

So both of them took the hits square on their faces.

The brothers glared at her through gritted teeth.

Xia You's gaze was icy as she spoke word by word: "Remember this—you're the ones who wronged me. When you see me, you should hide like mice before a cat, not bark like rabid dogs in front of me. Of course, if you prefer to be the latter, this hand of mine is specially for beating rabid dogs."

After saying this, she turned and walked away under everyone's watchful eyes.

Secretary Wu also glanced at the three of them, his eyes clearly conveying two words: satisfying.

Meanwhile, Xia Shu and Xia Mu both felt a twinge of guilt upon hearing her words.

The Xia family had indeed wronged Xia You, and they were even more afraid that she might publicly reveal that incident.

So even though they'd been slapped, they could only swallow their anger.

Xia Xing immediately began sobbing softly. "Even if we wronged her… she still shouldn't do this… She went to prison, and Mom and Dad still let her come back to the Xia family—isn't that good to her? I know it's all my fault. I was already prepared to leave the Xia family once she came back…"

The brothers immediately started comforting Xia Xing again.

Xia Shu: "Why would you leave? If anyone should leave, it's her! She even dared to hit people—next time, I'll definitely teach her a lesson!"

Xia Mu: "How could she have fallen so low and degraded? Getting kept by someone… and now she's become so domineering—what's the difference between her and a shrew?!"

The store employees, who were enjoying the drama firsthand, began whispering curiously among themselves.

Seeing this, Xia Xing angrily stormed off first.

The twin brothers immediately followed after her.

Meanwhile, on the floor above the luxury store, a man stood with both hands resting on the railing, having enjoyed the entire scene from start to finish.

Above the luxury store was a dedicated VIP lounge, with a floor-to-ceiling glass barrier outside the railing.

This kind of glass allowed those inside to see out clearly, but those outside couldn't see in.

"Quite the fiery temper." A slight curve formed at the corner of his lips, and a hint of amusement flickered in his eyes.

She seemed even more interesting than when he'd seen her at the Lin family's old residence.

He withdrew his gaze, slowly turned around, and stared down with a commanding air at the man kneeling on the ground begging for mercy.

"Master Che, I was wrong, I was wrong! I shouldn't have sold your information to that woman… She's just a slut! She just wanted to get into your bed! I was just momentarily blinded… Master Che, please spare me…"

The bodyguards on both sides had him pinned down, leaving him no chance to escape.

The man was already battered and bruised, his face covered in blood.

Those expensive leather shoes slowly approached, each step making him tremble with fear.

Lu Siche stood before him, lit a cigar, and curled his lips into a cruel smile. "Do you know what I hate the most?"

Lu Siche blew out a ring of smoke, then casually pressed the burning cigar butt onto the top of the man's head.

"Ahhh!!" The man cried out in agony but didn't dare resist at all.

Lu Siche's voice was calm and cold: "It's trash like you—dogs that bite the hand that feeds them."

The cigar butt was ground out before Lu Siche tossed it away. He then slipped one hand into his trouser pocket and strode toward the door.

Behind him came a series of screams.

"Young Master." His trusted secretary followed him out.

Lu Siche stopped in his tracks. "Go downstairs and ask about those people just now. Have their information sent to me before nightfall. Also, I want to know how Aunt Lin and that woman came to know each other."

"Yes, Young Master."
