Voices rose one after another. Some people cried; others knelt and bowed, calling her their savior.

Xue Xi was stunned.

“Female master? Female master! What’s wrong? I’ll take you to the hospital!”

Xi Qingqing opened her eyes and sighed deeply.

“Everyone… let me sleep for a while.”

She was just exhausted, not dying.

Xue Xi looked at her with tears in his eyes. She felt soft-hearted and covered his mouth gently.

“Let me sleep for a bit, okay?”

Her soft hand touched his lips. His face turned red instantly.

When she said “okay,” his legs even felt weak.

Excited whispers surrounded them, coming from the beastmen. Xue Xi tried to calm himself, but his heart was beating faster and faster.

He didn’t understand why Xi Qingqing suddenly became so strong, but he felt proud.

Luckily, the others weren’t here. He was the one who came out with her.

People naturally admire strength—men, women, everyone.

For the first time, as her partner, he felt what it meant to be proud.

He picked her up and led the recovering beastmen outside.

Just as they stepped out, a rotten vegetable flew toward them.

He dodged it and saw the half-naked man standing at the door, holding a basket of rotten leaves. Behind him was a group of people.

He didn’t even have time to get dressed before collecting more rotten vegetables.

Before Xue Xi could speak, an old woman rushed forward and grabbed the man’s ear.

She scolded loudly:

“How dare you treat your mother’s savior like this? If not for the princess, your mother would already be dead!”

She dragged him forward.

“Apologize!”

The man looked at his mother carefully. She looked even healthier than before.

He immediately bowed deeply.

“Thank you, Your Highness! I was wrong! I’m sorry!”

Xue Xi gently covered Xi Qingqing’s ears and said,

“She’s asleep.”

He was about to ask him to come back later—but when he saw the man’s strong body, he changed his words:

“The princess won’t care about something like this. Take your mother home.”

The man felt even more ashamed.

Behind him, others saw their recovered family members and were shocked.

Soon, they calmed down and came one by one to thank Xi Qingqing.

Even if she couldn’t hear them, they still wanted to say it.

As her partner, Xue Xi spoke with confidence:

“If you truly appreciate her, build a statue for the princess. This is her territory. If you treat her well, she will treat you well.”

“Yes! She saved our lives—we must build a big statue!”

“But there’s already a statue of Princess Anning.”

“So what?” the old woman said loudly. “She didn’t save me! I only recognize this princess!”

The crowd began discussing again.

Xue Xi returned home and placed Xi Qingqing on the bed.

She felt soft, like a cloud. He stared at her for a moment.

He thought about his fox tribe.

Every day, male foxes woke up early to train, kept their fur clean, and took care of their appearance—all to gain favor.

Foxes depended heavily on females. Their strength also increased through close contact with females.

He was the most handsome male in his nine-tailed fox clan.

But also the weakest.

Others had already grown a second tail—but he still hadn’t.

“Female master…”

He whispered. He wanted to become stronger.

Even if she took his fur, at least he wouldn’t freeze in winter.

He gently held her hand and carefully kissed the back of it.

“Xue Xi!”

He jumped in shock.

Mo Fuqing walked in quickly. He had gone out to buy supplies and rushed back after hearing something happened.

Xue Xi felt guilty.

Mo Fuqing said nothing. He looked at Xi Qingqing, then bent down—

and kissed her hand in the same place.

Xue Xi was stunned.

Mo Fuqing stood up calmly.

“What happened?”

Before Xue Xi could answer, Jiang Fei appeared—and clearly saw everything.

Meanwhile…

Zhang Fengyun was drinking tea when Zhang San rushed in, looking excited.

“Did it work?” Zhang Fengyun asked.

“It worked!” Zhang San said happily. “The princess purified everyone! She even healed their injuries! She must have been wrongly accused before—she’s amazing!”

Zhang Fengyun froze.

“What did you say?!”

When Xi Qingqing woke up, she saw all three men in her room.

Jiang Fei sat quietly, his face red.

Mo Fuqing carefully poured her water.

Xue Xi turned into a small fox and jumped into her arms.

Mo Fuqing suddenly poured hot water toward the fox—but Xi Qingqing blocked it easily.

“Be careful,” she said.

“Sorry. Did it burn you?” Mo Fuqing said, then picked up the fox and threw him away, holding her hand and blowing on it.

Xue Xi rolled on the ground and turned back into human form, glaring.

Mo Fuqing asked gently:

“You used a lot of female energy. Do you need me to warm your bed?”

His voice was very pleasant.

Xi Qingqing finally spoke:

“I’m considering hiring some servants.”

All three men froze.

“You’re not always home, and you can’t take good care of me. You almost burned me just now. If I hire someone who can handle housework, I’ll feel more relaxed.”

Now that the town no longer hated her, finding help shouldn’t be difficult.

Mo Fuqing said softly, “I can take care of you.”

“But you also need to take care of your people.”

He fell silent.

Xue Xi tugged her sleeve.

“Am I not attentive enough?”

She patted his head.

“You are—but you can’t cook.”

Xue Xi: “…”

Jiang Fei walked over, about to speak.

Xi Qingqing suddenly asked:

“You finished writing the divorce agreement, right?”

Jiang Fei: “…”

“Yes, he did!” Xue Xi quickly said. “He bought paper and wrote it already!”

Jiang Fei was confused—he hadn’t even gone out to buy anything!

“I didn’t! Stop lying!”

“Don’t be shy!” Xue Xi said. “I’ll go get it!”

Xi Qingqing wondered why Xue Xi was more excited than Jiang Fei.

Soon, Xue Xi returned—with a properly written divorce agreement.

She looked at it.

The handwriting was exactly the same as before.

It was really done.
