Xi Qingqing held the paper and looked up at Jiang Fei’s cold face.

She didn’t expect him to be in such a hurry.

“Tomorrow, we’ll go file for divorce.”

She handed him the paper. He grabbed it tightly. Her slightly cool fingers slipped out of his hand.

He looked down at it.

“I didn’t write the letter.”

Xi Qingqing paused and looked at him.

Jiang Fei stared at her. Suddenly, he didn’t want to leave her—but at the same time, he still wanted the divorce.

Too many thoughts filled his mind, and he didn’t know what to say.

Xue Xi watched nervously.

“Then… Do you still want the divorce?” she asked.

Jiang Fei frowned and admitted unhappily:

“Yes, I do.”

So slow, she thought.

She sighed softly.

Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Xue Xi’s fox ears standing straight; even his tail was out—yet he thought he was being subtle.

She said:

“Then you don’t need to write it. This one works. See you tomorrow at the office.”

Jiang Fei paused. He didn’t expect her to be so decisive.

He was the one who wanted the divorce first—so why did it feel like she was the one in a hurry now?

For some reason, he felt unhappy.

Seeing the proud fox and the calm snake made him even more irritated.

Xi Qingqing learned that the people she saved had sent her gifts.

She thought it would mostly be meat and nutrition drinks—but there were vegetables too.

After asking, she found out many of the rescued beastmen were herbivores.

There were also banners praising her healing skills. She happily hung them in the living room.

She had used too much energy and needed food.

Xue Xi followed her around as she skillfully chopped onions and meat.

Her knife work was fast and precise. He was amazed.

“Female master, you’re incredible.”

A man’s admiration made her feel good.

She smiled.

“Want to learn?”

“Yes!”

“Come here.”

She liked this fox. He helped her when she first arrived, and he was handsome and obedient.

Sometimes he even turned into a small fox for her to pet.

Even if he did something a bit bold, she didn’t mind much.

She stepped aside, and he started cutting meat.

She planned to make pork and chive dumplings.

The chives were sent by that man earlier. He also sent beans, cabbage, and many carrots.

After cutting the meat, Xue Xi tried cutting chives.

But the strong smell hit him, and he sneezed.

“This smells awful! Can’t we just eat meat?”

“It tastes good when cooked,” she said. “Should I do it?”

He shook his head. He didn’t want to give up this chance.

But before he could continue, the knife was taken away.

Mo Fuqing pushed him aside.

“This is easy. No need for the princess to do it. I’ll do it. Just teach me.”

Xi Qingqing leaned back in her chair.

“Alright.”

Xue Xi felt annoyed.

Mo Fuqing quickly chopped the chives and mixed them with meat and onions, adding salt.

There weren’t many seasonings in town—only salt.

Luckily, the meat was fresh.

Xi Qingqing praised him.

Then she saw Xue Xi’s pitiful look and softened.

She used her mental power to prepare the dough and made dumpling wrappers.

“Come, I’ll teach you how to wrap dumplings.”

Xue Xi’s ears popped out happily.

“Okay!”

She showed him once, then guided his hands.

As she leaned closer, he leaned into her arms.

He had a great body and liked wearing fitted clothes.

“Female master, you know so much…”

He whispered near her ear.

She felt a warm, soft sensation and became slightly distracted.

His fingers were long and soft.

He suddenly turned toward her.

“Did I do it right?”

He held a dumpling carefully.

Flour fell onto his fingers—and even onto his collarbone through his open shirt.

She couldn’t help but brush it away with her fingers.

“Female master, you’re so beautiful.”

His eyes were soft. He lowered his head and gently touched her fingers with his lips.

“I’ll clean it for you.”

Her mind went blank for a moment.

She thought—no wonder fox spirits are known for their charm.

Just as she was about to speak—

a hand reached in and gently pulled her away.

“Princess, did I do it right?”

Mo Fuqing stepped between them calmly.

His body felt cool.

She adjusted her collar, feeling slightly flustered.

“Yes… that’s correct.”

Xue Xi pouted.

“He already knows. I don’t…”

“Let him teach you,” she said.

These two were too attractive—it was hard to focus.

“He has no patience—”

“I’ll teach you,” Mo Fuqing said calmly. “Only fools can’t learn something this simple.”

“You—!”

Xi Qingqing leaned back and watched them argue while working.

It felt strangely pleasant.

She closed her eyes to rest.

She sensed someone watching from outside—but didn’t turn around.

Jiang Fei stood at the door, holding the divorce paper.

It was already dark. Moonlight covered his face.

He watched the two men joking with Xi Qingqing in the kitchen.

Their laughter sounded happy.

He looked at her relaxed figure in the chair.

The more he watched, the more irritated he felt.

He suddenly didn’t understand.

At first, all of them hated her.

So why was he the only one holding a divorce paper now?

Did those two never want to leave?

Was he the only one truly leaving her?

Why?
