For the sake of staying with Song Qingxian, Lu Nanzhan also moved into the hospital.

The VIP suite was fully equipped with all kinds of living facilities, so staying there was still fairly comfortable.

Song Qingxian lay on the hospital bed watching a variety show, while Lu Nanzhan sat on the sofa nearby, handling work on his laptop.Full novel: Transmigrated Into a Novel: The Plan to Save a Yandere Sickly Paranoid Villain Boss — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Yet he couldn’t help but keep glancing at her. At her gentle, beautiful side profile, the slightly upturned lips, the smiling eyes. His Xianxian was just too beautiful.

His gaze was too intense, and Song Qingxian could feel it. She turned around and met his eyes mid-air. His gaze was deep, filled with an unbreakable attachment and tenderness. In that moment, something about his eyes felt strangely familiar to her, as if she had seen them somewhere before.

It even gave her the illusion that she had known him for a very long time.

But as soon as the thought surfaced, she found it absurd and laughable. She shook her head inwardly. How could she possibly know a character from a book?

Song Qingxian looked at him and asked a little awkwardly, “Did I laugh too loudly and disturb you?”

Lu Nanzhan’s gaze remained fixed on her. “No.”

Being stared at like that made her feel uneasy. His eyes carried such strong possessiveness, as if he wanted to swallow her whole.

“Why do you keep staring at me…” she murmured.

“Because Xianxian is very beautiful. So beautiful that I can’t help but keep looking,” Lu Nanzhan said, his eyes locked on hers. “And then… I want to hide you away, just for me to admire.”

This kind of beautiful Song Qingxian should be hidden away. No one else should be allowed to see her. That thought suddenly surfaced in his mind.

“….”

Feeling the change in his expression, Song Qingxian suddenly felt a chill run through her. That twisted possessiveness of his was acting up again. He wasn’t actually thinking of locking her away, was he?

Uneasy, she cleared her throat to break the tense atmosphere. “You… you go ahead and work. I… I’ll keep watching TV.”

She quickly turned her face away and avoided his gaze.

His eyes were too deep, almost as if they carried some kind of magic that pulled people in with no way out.

Lu Nanzhan stopped looking at her and returned his focus to the laptop.

But Song Qingxian’s heart was anything but calm, like a pond stirred by wind. She couldn’t help but secretly glance back at him.

It was the first time she had realized just how dangerously beautiful this man was. When he wasn’t losing control, he was truly pleasing to the eye.

Yes, she could only describe Lu Nanzhan as dangerously enchanting. Not only was his appearance breathtakingly handsome, but there was also something about his bones and temperament, like a poppy flower. Deadly and dangerous, yet irresistibly addictive.

Lu Nanzhan suddenly curled his lips into a faint smile. His voice was low and elegant. “Xianxian, if you want to look at me, you don’t have to sneak glances. I allow you to look openly. I like being looked at by you.”

Song Qingxian’s face instantly flushed red. How did he even know she was sneaking glances? He hadn’t even looked up from his laptop.

She quickly turned away, face burning. “I wasn’t.”

Lu Nanzhan raised his eyes to look at her. Seeing her peach-like cheeks, he thought to himself how his Xianxian was so beautiful and tempting, like a ripe peach, making one want to bite into it.

And he did exactly that.

He walked to the bedside and lightly bit her cheek.

Song Qingxian was still dazed when he suddenly did it. “Hey—what are you—”

Before she could finish, her lips were sealed by his.

A long, gentle, and lingering kiss.

Song Qingxian felt like she was about to suffocate. Only then did Lu Nanzhan finally release her. Her lips were slightly swollen from the kiss, and she realized he truly liked long kisses that lingered, as if he wanted to completely mark her lips.

He gently stroked her soft, slightly red lips. “Xianxian, very delicious.”

Her face turned even redder, all the way to her neck. She immediately pulled the blanket over her head.

For someone with no romantic experience, such a long French kiss felt like a stone dropped into her heart, sending ripples through it again and again.

Lu Nanzhan gently pulled the blanket away. A faint smile lingered on his lips. “What are you doing? Hiding like a turtle?”

Seeing his lips again made her recall everything from earlier. As if reading her thoughts, he asked in a low voice, “Xianxian, do you want more?”

Her face burned hotter. She pushed at him weakly. “You should go to work.”

Lu Nanzhan looked at her then, like a soft little lamb. If she weren’t pregnant, he would have loved to tease her properly, until she was crying under him.

His gaze alone felt dangerously suggestive. Song Qingxian felt like she had already been devoured whole.

In the end, Lu Nanzhan let her go and returned to his work.

But soon, Song Qingxian realized something was off.

He didn’t smile much, usually wearing a cold, detached expression that made people keep their distance.

So why was he suddenly smiling?

And it wasn’t a natural smile. It looked forced, almost like a smile that wasn’t a smile at all. The corners of his lips and the aura around him created a strange, unsettling contradiction.

Song Qingxian felt a little uneasy. She silently wondered if she had done something to offend him. Why else would he be smiling like that?

Lu Nanzhan kept that strange smile all the way until bedtime.

Even though the VIP suite had more than one bed, he insisted on sharing hers.

Fortunately, the bed was large enough.

He pulled her into his arms.

Finally, she couldn’t hold back anymore. “Why have you been smiling the whole time?”

A trace of pride flashed in his eyes. “You noticed?”

“….”

Of course she noticed. How could anyone not notice something that strange?

She nodded slightly, but inwardly she was begging him to stop smiling. It was eerie enough that she was worried she wouldn’t sleep tonight.

“Do you like it?” he asked.

Song Qingxian’s expression froze in shock. “Like it?”

Lu Nanzhan’s expression immediately darkened. “You don’t like it?”

“Uh, I…” She hesitated, unsure how to respond. She really didn’t know what he was up to.

Seeing her reaction, his expression dimmed, and even the smile faded. “I thought you would like it. Didn’t you say you like gentleness?”

Song Qingxian was even more confused now. Did he think a strange forced smile equaled gentleness?

“It’s not that I dislike it, it’s just…” a little scary.

But seeing his expectant gaze, she quickly changed her words. “Aren’t you tired? I’m just worried you might be overworking yourself.”

“I won’t feel tired if it’s something you like.”

“…I still don’t understand. Why are you smiling like that?”

“I just learned it,” Lu Nanzhan said, holding her in his arms, even sounding a bit proud.

“Learned what?”

“One hundred ways to be gentle. First lesson: keep smiling.”
