Song Qingxian heard the sound of a car engine starting and driving away. Lu Nanzhan had most likely gone to Zhongshan Road to make prior arrangements at the small hotel.

Shuangye stood by the bed, its wolf eyes glowing faintly with a green light as it stared at her. It felt like an extension of Lu Nanzhan himself. Even though he was no longer in the room, that suffocating pressure still lingered around her.

Song Qingxian struggled desperately against the restraints of the handcuffs, but they had been custom-made for her. The size fit her slender wrists perfectly, and Lu Nanzhan had even inlaid them with a circle of priceless red gemstones. His way of thinking and doing things was beyond what ordinary people could comprehend.Full novel: Transmigrated Into a Novel: The Plan to Save a Yandere Sickly Paranoid Villain Boss — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Her fair, delicate wrists were already rubbed raw from constant friction against the cuffs, the skin torn open until it was almost bloody, carrying a faint scent of iron.

Shuangye’s green eyes flickered with a hint of excitement. Frightened, Song Qingxian quickly hid her wrists under the blanket, convinced that the wolf might pounce and tear her apart the next second.

Raising such a fierce creature as a pet, only someone like Lu Nanzhan could do something like that.

Her gaze fell on the phone lying not far away on the floor. Earlier, Lu Nanzhan had seen a message from Lu Chiyan and, in a fit of rage, threw it there.

She just needed a way to get the phone and warn Lu Chiyan not to come to Zhongshan Road to meet her. That would be enough.

Just as she was thinking this, a servant came upstairs carrying breakfast.

“Miss Song, I’ll help you with breakfast,” the servant said.

“Did Lu Nanzhan leave?” Song Qingxian asked.

“Yes,” the servant nodded. “The master also instructed us to make sure you eat properly.”

Song Qingxian lowered her gaze and thought for a moment. “Can you unlock the handcuffs for me? I need to use the bathroom.”

“I’m sorry, Miss Song. The master has ordered that no one is allowed to unlock your handcuffs.”

“But I really need to go. It’ll only take a moment.”

“You can relieve yourself in bed. Someone will clean it up afterward.”

Song Qingxian could hardly believe what she was hearing. She was a living person, not an animal. How could she be expected to relieve herself in bed?

What did Lu Nanzhan take her for? A pet?

She felt as though her dignity had been trampled into the ground.

Was his order to confine her to the bed for fifteen days meant literally, in every sense? Completely?

He was truly insane. If she really had to eat, drink, and relieve herself in bed like an animal, she would rather die.

The servant held the bowl of breakfast to her lips. “Miss Song, please eat something.”

“I won’t eat,” Song Qingxian turned her head away.

Hearing this, the servant’s hand trembled slightly. “Miss Song, please, if you don’t eat, the master will punish me.”

“…”

Song Qingxian pressed her lips together. She would rather starve or die of thirst than live like this.

At that moment, the servant added urgently, “Miss Song, please eat a little. You’re still carrying a baby.”

Those words struck her like a sudden realization. Right, the baby.

Song Qingxian frowned deeply, clutching her abdomen in apparent pain. “My stomach suddenly hurts. I think something is wrong with the baby.”

The servant panicked instantly. “I’ll go get Butler Zhou right away.”

Song Qingxian took the opportunity while hidden under the blanket to scrape her wrists harder against the handcuffs. She used great force, reopening the wounds and letting fresh blood seep out, which she then smeared onto her thigh.

She was gambling. The miscarriage would eventually be exposed anyway, so she might as well use this opportunity.

Soon after hearing about her condition, Butler Zhou rushed upstairs in a panic. Pregnancy was the top priority in the villa. If anything happened, no one would escape punishment.

“Miss Song, are you feeling unwell?” Butler Zhou asked.

Song Qingxian lifted the blanket slightly, pulling her skirt up to her thigh. “I think I’m bleeding.”

Butler Zhou immediately turned his head away, too afraid to look directly. If Lu Nanzhan found out, he would not hesitate to dig out his eyes.

“You check on Miss Song,” Butler Zhou ordered the maid beside him.

“B-Butler Zhou… Miss Song really is bleeding…” the maid stammered, terrified.

Butler Zhou quickly called Lu Nanzhan.

“Mr. Lu, Miss Song seems unwell and appears to be bleeding.”

On the other end of the line, Lu Nanzhan’s breathing tightened. Even his steady voice trembled with urgency.

“Take her to Renhe Hospital immediately. The key to the handcuffs is in the second drawer of my study desk.”

“Yes, Mr. Lu.”

“Go to Renhe Hospital,” he ordered the driver at once.

Lu Nanzhan had gone out with a convoy of bodyguards this time, originally to deal with Lu Chiyan. He no longer intended to tolerate him. Lu Chiyan had actually tried to work with Song Qingxian to set him up.

He then gave another order through the phone.

“Send people to Zhongshan Road and surround that small hotel. If he shows up, bring him to me immediately.”

“Yes.”

Butler Zhou quickly retrieved the key and unlocked the handcuffs. As soon as Song Qingxian got off the bed, she accidentally fell onto the carpet.

A maid rushed to help her up, but no one noticed that she quietly picked up the phone and slipped it into her clothes.

On the way to the hospital, Song Qingxian secretly sent a message to Lu Chiyan.

“Don’t come. He has already found out.”

After sending it, she immediately deleted the chat history, finally letting out a breath of relief.

At Renhe Hospital, she did not expect Lu Nanzhan to arrive even faster than she did. His black armored Lincoln was already parked at the entrance.

The moment he saw her, he lifted her into his arms and strode into the hospital.

“Xianxian, how are you feeling?” His voice was filled with urgency as his hand moved toward her lower body to check for bleeding.

Fortunately, it did not seem severe.

Song Qingxian felt guilty. The blood she had smeared earlier had already dried. If Lu Nanzhan examined her too closely, her lie would be exposed.

Everyone in the hospital treated Lu Nanzhan with utmost respect. The director of obstetrics and gynecology personally escorted her into the emergency room.

Lu Nanzhan tried to follow her in, but Song Qingxian quickly stopped him.

“Don’t come in. There are too many people. It makes me nervous.”

He paused. “Alright.”

Right now, all he cared about was the child in her womb, so he would indulge her.

He turned to the doctor and said coldly, “Make sure you save my child.”

The doctor broke out in a thin layer of sweat. “Yes, we will do everything we can.”

Inside the emergency room, after finishing the examination, the doctor looked at Song Qingxian in disbelief.

“You are not currently pregnant. Did you undergo a miscarriage procedure?”

Song Qingxian immediately grabbed the doctor’s arm. “Please, just tell him I just miscarried and lost the baby, okay?”

The doctor looked troubled. “This…”

Song Qingxian removed a ring from her hand and placed it into the doctor’s palm. It was a diamond ring given by Lu Nanzhan, clearly worth a fortune.

“Please,” she pleaded.

The doctor lowered his gaze to the ring. “I’ll let Mr. Lu come in first.”

Song Qingxian finally relaxed. He had taken the ring, so he should be agreeing.

She just needed to survive this moment.
