“Alright.”

Mo Junlin was more than willing to indulge her.

Thinking about the private time they would soon have together, he quickened his pace.Full novel: Transmigrated into the CEO’s Cannon-Fodder Ex-Wife, I Chose to Take It Easy — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

After sitting for a while, Qin Ruoyao got up and began organizing the things her mother-in-law had prepared for her.

Most of them were clothes.

And they were all styles she liked.

Humming happily, she hung them neatly in the wardrobe.

After filling the bathtub, Mo Junlin returned and leaned against the wardrobe, watching her tidy up.

“Is the water ready?” Qin Ruoyao asked after hanging up the last piece of clothing.

Mo Junlin nodded.

Standing on tiptoe, she kissed him lightly on the cheek.

“Muah. Thank you, husband. That’s your reward.”

Mo Junlin was extremely pleased.

“How about we take a bath together?” he suggested.

“You tell me, President Mo.”

Wrapping her arms around his neck, she answered with a teasing smile.

“I think that’s a great idea.”

He immediately reached out as if to pick her up.

“No.”

Qin Ruoyao stepped back.

“You have work tomorrow.”

“Behave yourself tonight, understand?”

“It’s already late. Go use the bathroom outside and get some rest.”

With that, she pushed him toward the door.

“What? Worried I’ll wear myself out?” he asked.

“I have a solution.”

“Let’s bathe together.”

Before she could react, he swept her into his arms and carried her toward the bathroom.

The door closed behind them.

For a while, faint protests could be heard from inside before everything fell silent.

Over the past few days, Mo Junlin had discovered a secret.

Qin Ruoyao’s recovery speed was astonishing.

No matter how exhausted she appeared in the morning, a hot bath seemed to restore her energy completely.

Even minor marks on her skin would gradually fade and disappear before noon.

As someone with little romantic experience himself, he found it rather surprising.

Though he retained memories of his previous life, those experiences felt distant and blurry.

Still, he had seen enough examples among friends to know that most people looked utterly drained after overindulging themselves.

Yet he felt the opposite.

Every morning he woke up feeling energetic and refreshed.

It was as though his vitality had only increased.

If the King of Hell knew what he was thinking, he would proudly claim the credit.

The pill he had once given Qin Ruoyao had originally come from a cultivation world.

It was an exceptionally rare treasure.

Its effects benefited both partners, promoting health and vitality.

As a result, their married life had become remarkably harmonious.

And so their happy life together truly began.

At six o’clock the next morning, Mo Junlin woke up.

Looking at the beautiful woman sleeping in his arms, he kissed her forehead gently before heading to the gym next door.

Exercising had always been part of his daily routine.

With work becoming increasingly demanding, maintaining good health was essential.

When he picked up his usual dumbbells, however, he frowned.

They felt lighter than before.

After a satisfying workout, he heated up the breakfast the household staff had prepared and took a shower.

Returning to the bedroom, he found Qin Ruoyao still asleep.

One long leg was tangled in the blanket, and the hem of her nightdress had ridden up.

Smiling, he sat beside her and gently stroked her shoulder.

Just as he was about to wake her—

Smack.

His hand was swatted away.

Mo Junlin chuckled.

“So you’ve been awake this whole time.”

Indeed, Qin Ruoyao had woken up nearly ten minutes earlier.

After checking the time on her phone, she had simply decided not to move.

She blamed him entirely for her lack of motivation.

The previous night had been far too exhausting.

Over the past few days, she had also learned that Mo Junlin had a habit of exercising every morning.

When she woke and found the space beside her cold, she knew he had been up for quite some time.

He had even invited her to join him before.

She had politely declined.

Waking up that early was not happening.

“Do you want to come to the office with me today?” Mo Junlin asked as he hugged her from behind.

“Won’t I distract you?”

“Not at all.”

“I’m only worried you’ll get bored.”

“I have several meetings today.”

“If you come, you can wait for me in my office.”

His assistant had already sent over the day’s schedule.

Qin Ruoyao considered it for a moment.

“Alright. Wait for me. I’ll get up now.”

“Hey!”

She slapped away the wandering hand that had begun causing trouble.

Mo Junlin sighed dramatically.

Unfortunately, it really was getting late.

There would be plenty of opportunities in the future.

“I’ll make breakfast.”

“Come eat when you’re ready.”

After kissing her lightly, he left the room.

By the time Qin Ruoyao finally emerged, Mo Junlin had already changed.

Men’s clothing was simple, and he had always been efficient.

The moment she stepped out, she noticed him.

Dressed in a tailored black suit, he looked elegant, reserved, and distinguished.

The outfit only enhanced his cool, disciplined aura.

At the same time, Qin Ruoyao’s appearance left him momentarily speechless.

Her long wavy hair cascaded down her back.

A fitted black knit top highlighted her graceful figure, paired with a matching jacket and a knee-length pleated skirt.

Her fair skin seemed to glow.

Mo Junlin motioned for her to sit down.

Breakfast was simple but nutritious:

Rice porridge.

A glass of milk.

And a basket of soup dumplings.

Half an hour later, they arrived at the Mo Corporation headquarters.

Instead of entering through the main lobby, Mo Junlin took her directly from the parking garage to the executive elevator.

The weather was still cool in early April, and a light drizzle had fallen that morning.

He didn’t want her catching a chill.

It was still before nine o’clock, but most employees had already arrived.

The entire executive secretary team was present.

Assistant He Yang was organizing documents when he heard footsteps.

Looking up, he immediately stood.

The president had arrived.

And he was holding his wife’s hand.

Having attended the wedding, He Yang thought they looked perfect together.

“Good morning, President Mo. Good morning, Mrs. Mo.”

The others quickly followed suit.

Most of the younger staff had never met Qin Ruoyao before.

The company hadn’t shut down for the wedding, though everyone had received celebratory bonuses.

Now, seeing their president walk in hand-in-hand with such a stunning woman, many nearly forgot how to blink.

Mo Junlin acknowledged the greetings with a nod.

“Good morning, everyone,” Qin Ruoyao said with a bright smile.

The room fell silent for a second.

A beautiful woman smiling warmly was difficult for anyone to ignore.

Seeing everyone’s stunned expressions, Mo Junlin pulled her slightly closer.

“This is my wife, Qin Ruoyao.”

“Get acquainted.”

Qin Ruoyao smiled politely.

“Hello, everyone.”

The staff immediately responded enthusiastically.

“Hello, Mrs. Mo!”

“Nice to meet you, Mrs. Mo!”

Standing together, the couple looked exceptionally well matched.

Many of the employees were screaming internally.

They were simply too good-looking together.

“Alright. Back to work.”

Mo Junlin turned toward He Yang.

“Prepare a coffee.”

“Extra sugar.”

“The meeting starts at nine.”

“Understood, President Mo.”

Without further delay, Mo Junlin led Qin Ruoyao into his office and closed the door behind them.
