On the way to find the counselor, Xia Yuning asked Qiu Se, “Do you know how to ride a motorcycle?”

Qiu Se was slightly stunned. “How did you know?”

Xia Yuning started improvising. “I saw someone on the road once.”Full novel: Transmigrated Into The Villainous CEO’s Bride — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Of course, I just thought that figure looked like you. I didn’t expect you could actually ride,” Xia Yuning feigned surprise.

“Yeah, I know how.”

“I just asked if you wanted to come somewhere with me, and you haven’t answered yet. Do you want to go?”

“Where are you going?”

“Didn’t you say you know how to ride a motorcycle? How about coming street racing with me?”

Street racing?

“You know how to ride a motorcycle too?”

“I do,” Xia Yuning smiled. “Surprised, aren’t you?”

He had learned how to race motorcycles back in high school out of rebellion. Later, after things went wrong and he needed to pay off debts, he started participating in various motorcycle races, big and small, because winning prize money was the fastest way to get cash.

Xia Yuning flexed his fingers. It had been a long time since he last touched a motorcycle.

Qiu Se genuinely hadn’t expected this, and he hadn’t been street racing in quite a while either. He thought about it for a moment and said, “Alright, I’ll go with you.”

They arrived at the counselor’s office and knocked on the door.

“Please come in.”

The voice came from inside the room.

Xia Yuning pushed open the door and entered along with Qiu Se.

“Is there something you need?” the counselor asked without lifting her head.

“We are here to cancel our leave,” Xia Yuning replied.

Only then did the counselor look up, immediately freezing in surprise.

She glanced at Qiu Se.

Well, she recognized him.

She glanced at Xia Yuning.

Well, she didn’t really recognize him.

Wasn’t this the person being discussed on the school forum over the past couple of days? Someone had uploaded candid photos, and everyone was gossiping about which department this beauty belonged to.

Yet, why was he here? He said he was here to cancel his leave, and apart from Qiu Se, the only other person on leave was Xia Yuning!

“Y-You are Xia Yuning?” the counselor asked uncertainly.

Why did everyone keep asking him who he was? Xia Yuning smiled helplessly. “I am Xia Yuning.”

The counselor blushed slightly from his smile. “Oh, oh.”

Qiu Se chimed in from the side to remind her, “Counselor, our leave cancellation.”

“Ah, right, I know.”

“Mn.” Qiu Se nodded indifferently. “If there is nothing else, we will head out first.”

The counselor dazedly watched them leave.

It took her a good moment to snap back to reality. “Holy shit, he was actually this good-looking all along!”

Sitting in his office, Lu Jinglin casually flipped through the documents in his hand when his secretary suddenly knocked on the door.

“Come in.”

The secretary walked in carrying a cup of coffee. “President Lu, here is the coffee you requested.”

Lu Jinglin gestured with his chin. “Put it on the desk.”

“Understood, President Lu.” The secretary placed the coffee on Lu Jinglin’s desk and stepped aside, waiting for further instructions.

“There is nothing else. You may head out first.” Lu Jinglin picked up the coffee and took a sip.

“Yes.”

The phone on the desk suddenly rang, and Lu Jinglin picked it up casually.

“Hey, President Lu, wanna come out and hang out?” a voice came from the other end of the line.

Lu Jinglin replied indifferently, “Not interested.”

“Tsk, come on. How long has it been since you last came out?” The owner of the voice on the other end feigned dissatisfaction. “Come over, Nanshan Flat Racing Track. Yao Ziyue and Chu An are both here. Hurry up, how long has it been since you hung out with us?”

Lu Jinglin gave the same indifferent response: “Not going.”

“Sigh, it’s not like I’m trying to nag you…” Before he could finish his sentence, his tone suddenly shifted completely. “Holy shit, he is so fucking handsome! Ziyue! Ziyue! Did you see that?! That technique is way too fucking slick! Awesome!”

Yao Ziyue was annoyed by his noise. “Lin Qiuzhi, keep your voice down, I saw it.”

Lin Qiuzhi was the one who had called Lu Jinglin. His eyes were currently shining with excitement as he casually handed the phone over to Yao Ziyue and continued watching the race.

Yao Ziyue took the phone, found a slightly secluded spot, and asked about something that had been puzzling him lately: “I heard you got married?”

Lu Jinglin: “Mn.”

Yao Ziyue was shocked. “Damn, so all the recent rumors are true? You actually married someone from the Xia family…?”

Lu Jinglin rubbed the bridge of his nose. “What is there to make such a big fuss about? Didn’t the Lu family already release an official statement?”

“Well, we didn’t hear it from your own mouth, so none of us believed it.”

“Now you know.” It was far too noisy on Yao Ziyue’s end, filled with constant shrieking. Lu Jinglin frowned. “What is going on over there? It’s loud as hell.”

Yao Ziyue looked up and glanced around. “Someone is racing. Don’t change the subject; since you’re married now, when are you going to bring him out for us to meet?”

“In a couple of days.”

“Ha, fine.” Yao Ziyue asked him, “Are you coming or not? How long has it been since we all hung out?”

“No. We’ll get together in a couple of days.”

Lu Jinglin glanced at his phone. “I’m hanging up.”

“Hey, fine then. Can’t talk you into it.”
