But over the past month, strange incidents have increased significantly worldwide.

There were reports of violent attacks, unexplained fevers, people suddenly biting others, plants dying from an unknown disease, and animals becoming abnormally aggressive.

Most of the news was suppressed quickly by the government, and posts on the websites were removed.Full novel: Transmigrated To The Apocalypse As A Mob Character — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Ordinary people only treated those incidents as isolated crimes, new viruses affecting the animals and plants, or mental illnesses. Only a very small number of people realized something was wrong and hoarded some supplies at home just in case.

Bai Yingxia cooked until 7 o’clock in the evening and continued training in her space.

Even though her physical condition had improved greatly after drinking the spring water regularly, she still wasn’t satisfied. Compared to those experienced mercenaries or special forces soldiers, she was still too weak.

The apocalypse would only become more dangerous as time passed. If she wanted to survive long-term, she couldn’t rely solely on supplies and weapons. She needed strength.

By 9 o’clock in the evening, Bai Yingxia finished her training and left her space. After she finished showering, she noticed that the temperature outside had begun dropping noticeably.

Besides locking the doors and windows, she also used duct tape to seal the gaps. When she finished, she stored everything in her space, leaving only a bed in her bedroom.

Closing her eyes, she went to sleep.

At first, she wanted to wait in her space until tomorrow before leaving her apartment and collecting the supplies she lacked before the zombies awakened.

But after thinking it over, she changed her mind.

Bai Yingxia didn’t know what would happen to her if she missed the first awakening. Since she didn’t have any clue about how the apocalypse began, she could only follow the others and stay outside.

While she was trying to rest in her home, the originally crowded streets became even livelier because of Christmas Eve celebrations. Couples, families, and groups of friends filled the restaurants and shopping malls.

As midnight approached, Bai Yingxia was woken up by a phone call. Checking her phone, she saw that it was her cousin calling.

She had no patience to listen to her nonsense, so she hung up the call and blocked her number. She was not the original soul, and she didn’t want to have anything to do with Bai Jun’s family.

After waking up, the uneasiness in her heart became stronger.

Even though she had prepared for this moment for months, personally waiting for the collapse of civilization still gave her indescribable pressure.

At 11:50 P.M., Bai Yingxia stood up and walked toward the floor-to-ceiling window.

The city remained brightly lit. Fireworks occasionally exploded in the distance. Snowflakes fluttered in the air and melted when they touched the ground.

Nobody noticed the faint red glow gradually appearing deep within the clouds.

At exactly midnight, a muffled sound suddenly echoed throughout the sky.

Bai Yingxia’s pupils shrank sharply as she stared at the distant sky.

Above the dark night sky, a strange blood-red meteor shower streaked across the sky like countless falling stars. The entire city was illuminated in crimson light.

At the same time, a strange wave spread silently across the world.

Half an hour later, the meteor’s fragments fall to the ground with a loud crash.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Dogs began barking frantically. Car alarms rang endlessly. People screamed in panic as the city was thrown into chaos.

Bai Yingxia clenched her fists tightly and stared at the horrifying scene in the sky. Her heartbeat accelerated uncontrollably as one thought flashed through her mind.

The apocalypse had begun.

Before she could even calm down, the ground started to shake. The shaking became more violent as the second pass.

Outside, group after group of people rushed out of the apartment building. No one noticed that the fluttering snowflakes were now stained with a red hue.

When they touched the skin, the water would seep into the human body through the pores. When the melted snow touched the ground, the reddish water was absorbed into the earth.

At this moment, everyone was screaming as they tried to get as far away from the buildings as they could. During the earthquake, the apartment buildings shook as if they would collapse the next moment.

Bai Yingxia’s heart was filled with fear when she saw the building swaying precariously.

The earthquake didn’t last long, only 10 minutes, but it made her feel dizzy and nauseous. When she felt a slight pain in her lower abdomen, she didn’t dare delay any longer and entered her space.

As soon as she appeared inside her space, she fell to the ground and lost consciousness.

In the outside world, the chaos continued.

Tall buildings without proper earthquake prevention systems collapsed and killed a lot of people. Car accidents happened one after another on the main roads, highways, and even small roads outside the city.

Police officers, medical staff, and firefighters were sent by the local government to control the situation, but to no avail.

The chaos continued for three hours.

Suddenly, people started fainting one after another without warning. Those who were still able to stay awake knew that something bad was happening and hid in locked rooms before they lost consciousness.

Similar situations happened in every corner of the world. At 4 A.M., the entire world fell into an eerie silence.

Ten hours later, Bai Yunxia’s eyelashes fluttered slightly. A few minutes later, she finally opened her eyes. Lying on the ground, it took her a while to recall what was going on.

Pushing herself up, she still felt slight discomfort in her lower abdomen.

She no longer felt dizzy, so she walked to the house, poured some boiled spring water, and drank it. Only after she rested for a while did the pain in her lower abdomen subside.

Now that the apocalypse had begun, she changed her clothes into a set of winter tracksuits and a pair of sneakers. She also put on a baseball cap and wore a black mask. Her long hair was tied into a ponytail.

When she was ready, she left the space and reappeared in her apartment.
