Zhen Lütu felt like she had run over there at the fastest speed of her life, while Tang Yue and Han Yan stayed behind her, holding back the zombies that had been attracted by the commotion.

Zhen Lütu quickly pulled open the driver’s door. The car keys were indeed still inside, but so was the owner.

Zhen Lütu thought this was very much in line with the apocalypse. She was not scared at all.

The moment Zhen Lütu opened the car door, the zombie lunged at her. Fortunately, the owner had been a law abiding successor of socialism while alive and had been wearing a seat belt.

Otherwise, Zhen Lütu’s neck would probably have already been bitten through.

Even after turning into a zombie, however, the owner continued roaring at Zhen Lütu, baring its teeth as it tried to bite her.

Without the slightest hesitation, Zhen Lütu raised the knife in her hand and gave the owner a quick death. She then unfastened the seat belt, threw the zombie out, and climbed into the driver’s seat.

After starting the car as quickly as possible, Zhen Lütu shouted toward the two people still struggling with the zombies, “Get in the car!”

The two immediately ran toward the car, with the zombies behind them chasing after them.

After Tang Yue and Han Yan jumped into the car, the zombies still refused to give up. They desperately clawed at the door handles and pounded on the windows, instantly leaving numerous bloody handprints across the glass.

This ordinary family sedan obviously could not compare to the vehicle Zhen Lütu had modified. After the pursuing zombies had pounded on it only a few times, cracks had already begun appearing in the windows.

Zhen Lütu hurriedly slammed her foot down on the accelerator. The car shot forward, and the zombies clinging to it were violently flung away by the momentum. Several others that stubbornly remained hanging onto the vehicle were crushed beneath the wheels.

The three people in the car finally breathed a sigh of relief as they watched the zombies being left far behind.

Looking at the two people gasping for breath in the rearview mirror, Zhen Lütu said cheerfully, “Pleasure doing business with you.”

Hearing the cheerful tone in Zhen Lütu’s voice, the tense atmosphere instantly dissipated, and Tang Yue and Han Yan could not help laughing.

“Pleasure doing business with you.”

The sun gradually sank toward the horizon, and the afterglow of the setting sun streamed into the car. The three of them looked as though they had just finished a pleasant outing and were on their way home.

“It’s about to get dark. Let’s find somewhere safe to rest for the night,” Zhen Lütu suggested.

She knew that, according to the habits of zombies, they would become more alert at night, with their speed and killing power increasing as well.

“That works. Traveling at night will probably be even more dangerous,” Tang Yue replied.

Before it became completely dark, Zhen Lütu found a small supermarket where they could stay for the night.

After getting out of the car, the three of them first entered the supermarket and thoroughly cleared out the few zombies inside.

Most of the shelves in the small supermarket had already been emptied. There were still traces of blood on the floor, while the ceiling light, perhaps because of a damaged connection, kept flickering on and off, instantly creating the atmosphere of a horror movie.

The three split up and searched the small supermarket for anything they could eat.

Clearly, however, the supermarket’s supplies had already been completely looted. Tang Yue and Han Yan searched through every corner but could only find a few packs of soda crackers.

Zhen Lütu glanced around and, after making sure the two of them were out of her line of sight, took a hiking backpack from her space and stuffed it full of food and drinks from inside her space.

Tang Yue and Han Yan searched for quite a while longer, but still found nothing else.

“Ugh, this is ridiculous. The supermarket is a little small, sure, but how can there be absolutely nothing left?” Han Yan complained as he held several packs of soda crackers.

Tang Yue had barely managed to find even a few packs of crackers.

“Finding these is enough. It’s still much better than having nothing. By the way, where’s Zhen Lütu?” Tang Yue looked around but could not see her.

At that moment, Zhen Lütu was crouched behind the shelves at the very back, huffing and puffing as she desperately stuffed food into the backpack.

She kept going until the backpack was completely stuffed, without even the slightest bit of empty space left.

“Zhen Lütu! Zhen Lütu!” Tang Yue called softly.

“Could she have been eaten by those things?” Han Yan asked with a wicked little grin.

Before he could finish, however, Tang Yue silenced him with a sharp glare.

“I’m here, I’m here,” Zhen Lütu replied as she dragged the backpack over.

The backpack was so full that Zhen Lütu could not even lift it onto her back.

Tang Yue and Han Yan followed the sound of her voice and came over.

Seeing Zhen Lütu dragging a backpack stuffed full of food, they looked down at the little packets of crackers in their own hands.

Were they sure they had entered the same supermarket?

“I found this at the very back just now. Maybe someone searched through this place but didn’t have time to take everything out,” Zhen Lütu hurriedly explained when she saw how shocked they were by everything she had found.

Han Yan finally came back to his senses and helped her pick up the backpack.

“These are special circumstances. Don’t wander too far away from us at any time. It’s dangerous,” Tang Yue reminded Zhen Lütu with concern.

“Mm, got it, Sister Yunyun,” Zhen Lütu replied.

The moment Han Yan heard Zhen Lütu call her “Sister Yunyun,” he immediately made a retching sound.

Hearing that, Zhen Lütu immediately asked Han Yan, “Brother Heitu, what’s wrong? Are you pregnant?”

“You’re the one who’s pregnant! I’m a man!” Han Yan was completely speechless.

“Huh? I was just joking. Brother Heitu didn’t actually take it seriously, did you?”

Zhen Lütu deliberately opened her mouth slightly and even covered it with her hand.

【Green Tea Points +15】

Wonderful. With Brother Heitu around, she never had to worry about Green Tea Points.

Han Yan: “……”

His native language was apparently speechless.

After eating their fill, they prepared to spend the night resting in the small supermarket.

After discussing the order for keeping watch, the three began to rest. After all, a full day of intense mental concentration from watching zombies and physical labor from running for their lives had left them utterly exhausted.

Han Yan would take the first shift, Tang Yue the middle shift, and Zhen Lütu the final shift.

Han Yan held his iron rod as he stood guard near the supermarket entrance, while Zhen Lütu and Tang Yue spread a blanket they had found somewhere on the supermarket floor and sat on it, leaning against the wall as they rested.

Zhen Lütu closed her eyes and communicated with the system inside her mind.

【Little System, how many Green Tea Points do I have now?】

【Dear Host, your current Green Tea Points are 506.】

【Then how many Green Tea Points do I need to upgrade the warehouse to Level Two?】

【500, dear (●???●)】

【What?! Why is it so expensive? If I upgrade my space now, I’ll become completely broke. I’ll be back to square one overnight!】

【You can also draw from the blind box~】

【Then how much does one blind box draw cost?】

【One draw costs 15 points, while ten draws cost 100 points.】

Zhen Lütu carefully considered it before deciding to upgrade her space. After all, she still had a large amount of supplies piled up in the underground garage of her home.

And she planned to go to Sunset Base, which meant she would not cross paths with the female protagonist on her way to Hope Base.

The two of them could simply stay out of each other’s way.

【Upgrade my space.】

【Have you made your decision?】

【Yes, yes, stop nagging and hurry up and upgrade my space!】
