【Ding! Congratulations, Host. Your space has been successfully upgraded.】

Zhen Lütu’s space was successfully upgraded to Level Two, and she could not wait to see what it looked like after the upgrade.

The space was considerably larger than before. Previously, it had only been about the size of a basketball court, but now it was almost the size of three basketball courts.Full novel: Transmigrating into the Apocalypse: The Green Tea Supporting Female Character Is a Whiny Little Monster — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Suddenly, Zhen Lütu no longer felt bad about spending 500 Green Tea Points. It was actually quite worth it. She had originally thought the space would only become a little bigger.

Now she no longer had to worry about not having enough room to store all the supplies at home.

In the middle of the night, it was time for Han Yan and Tang Yue to switch shifts.

Han Yan had originally planned to let Tang Yue sleep a little longer and wake her after some time, but he never expected her to wake up right on schedule.

Han Yan teased her softly, “Do you have an alarm clock installed in your head? How did you wake up so precisely on time?”

Tang Yue replied, “Stop fooling around and go get some rest.”

“I’ll take that as you caring about me,” Han Yan said with a grin.

Tang Yue walked over to the door without responding to him.

It was not until the latter half of the night that a woman carrying a child of about eight or nine years old knocked on the door of the small supermarket.

There were also quite a few zombies following behind her. Just as the zombies were about to catch up with the woman carrying her child, Tang Yue immediately opened the door a crack and pulled the mother and son inside.

Zhen Lütu and Han Yan, who had been resting, instantly woke up when they heard the commotion.

The large group of zombies that had followed them began violently ramming the supermarket door.

“Bang! Bang!”

In the blink of an eye, the supermarket door began to look as though it could collapse at any moment.

“Quick, use the shelves to block the door!” Tang Yue shouted at them.

Zhen Lütu and Han Yan immediately moved the shelves to the entrance. The woman and the little boy trembled beside them in fear, and when the boy heard the zombies outside, he suddenly burst into loud sobs.

The boy’s shrill cries made the zombies outside even more excited. They began slamming into the supermarket door like mad, causing even the shelves braced against the entrance to shake violently.

Seeing this, Zhen Lütu, Tang Yue, and Han Yan immediately pressed their bodies firmly against the shelves to hold them in place.

“This won’t work. There seem to be more and more zombies outside,” Zhen Lütu said.

Groups of zombies were swarming toward them, and many of them had already punched their hands through the supermarket door and were reaching inside.

Han Yan looked around and noticed a ventilation opening inside the supermarket that was large enough for a person to crawl through.

“I’ll hold them back here. You go out through that ventilation opening!”

Tang Yue immediately rejected the idea. “No! You won’t be able to hold them back for long by yourself!”

Han Yan grinned. “That may not be true. I’m pretty capable, you know. Don’t underestimate me.”

Seeing that Tang Yue was still hesitating, Han Yan immediately added, “If you don’t leave now, we’ll all die here.”

With no other choice, and with the zombies outside still roaring and relentlessly pounding against the supermarket door, Tang Yue could only take Zhen Lütu and the woman and leave first.

Zhen Lütu helped the woman and her child through the opening first, then she and Tang Yue climbed out one after another.

Han Yan was still using all his strength to hold up the unstable supermarket door. Only after he saw that they had all made it out did he finally breathe a sigh of relief.

As soon as Tang Yue landed outside, she shouted at Han Yan, “Come out quickly!”

Han Yan waited for the right moment and dashed toward the ventilation opening. The door and shelves behind him were instantly knocked down by the zombies, and countless zombies lunged toward him.

At the critical moment, Tang Yue and Zhen Lütu each grabbed one of Han Yan’s arms and pulled him out through the ventilation opening.

The group immediately ran toward the car, but the boy was still crying nonstop. His loud cries once again attracted the zombies, while the child’s mother remained completely unmoved.

Hearing the boy’s booming voice, which was practically comparable to a professional opera singer, Tang Yue kindly told him to stop crying.

Instead, the boy cried even louder.

Zhen Lütu finally lost her patience. She grabbed the boy by the collar and said, “If you keep crying, I’ll throw you straight into the middle of the zombies and make sure you never get the chance to cry again!”

The boy immediately stopped crying with a startled “Gah!”

Hmph, some people simply refused to listen unless they were threatened.

The group quietly moved toward the car as quickly as they could, but there were already quite a few zombies wandering around it. Behind them, even more zombies were pouring out of the supermarket and rushing toward them.

Tang Yue said to Zhen Lütu, “We’ll have to use the same method as before. Heitu and I will draw the zombies away while you go start the car.”

Zhen Lütu nodded.

The boy’s mother, who had remained silent behind them the entire time, suddenly asked, “What about us?”

Tang Yue looked at the mother and son. “Stay behind me.”

The woman quickly agreed and told the boy to stay close to Tang Yue.

Having worked together once before, Zhen Lütu, Tang Yue, and Han Yan coordinated quite well. The mother and son, however, kept screaming in fear, forcing Tang Yue to devote even more attention to protecting them.

Han Yan also kept glancing toward Tang Yue from time to time.

More and more zombies poured out of the alley beside the supermarket, and Tang Yue and Han Yan gradually began to struggle under the pressure.

Zhen Lütu could only run toward the car at full speed, hacking at the zombies that lunged at her along the way. Fortunately, she successfully reached the car and immediately started the engine, driving straight into the zombies rushing toward Tang Yue and Han Yan.

Zhen Lütu used the car to hold back the swarm of zombies pouring out of the alley. Han Yan took the opportunity to get into the car, while Tang Yue and the mother and son, who were slightly farther away, also rushed toward them as quickly as they could.

But just then, something unexpected happened. The woman suddenly fell to the ground, leaving Tang Yue no choice but to run back and help her up.

The zombies behind them immediately closed in during that brief opening, and they were about to catch the woman and her child.

A cold look flashed across the woman’s face. She shoved Tang Yue, who was still helping her, straight toward the swarm of zombies, then grabbed her child and ran toward the car.

Tang Yue immediately reacted after being pushed into the swarm. She shoved away the zombies that were biting at her, but there were simply too many of them, and she gradually began to lose strength.

From inside the car, Han Yan and Zhen Lütu watched helplessly as Tang Yue was pushed into the swarm of zombies. Without thinking twice, Zhen Lütu immediately put the car into reverse and drove toward Tang Yue.

Without the car holding the zombies back, the swarm pouring out of the alley surged forward in an instant, but Zhen Lütu could no longer afford to care about that.

If her Sister Yunyun was hurt, this mother and son would not get off easily either!

Han Yan and Zhen Lütu stopped the car and immediately rushed over to help Tang Yue break free from the zombies. By then, Tang Yue had already been bitten several times, and even her face had been scratched by the zombies’ long, sharp fingernails.

Zhen Lütu and Han Yan were furious. They hacked wildly at every zombie that came near them, while the mother and son who had pushed Tang Yue into the swarm quietly slipped into the car behind them and locked the doors.

Unfortunately, the woman did not know how to drive, so she could only sit stiffly in the back seat and wait.

After Zhen Lütu and Han Yan helped the injured Tang Yue into the car, they quickly started it and drove out of the zombie swarm.

Zhen Lütu drove the car as dawn broke. Staring at the woman in the rearview mirror, she asked sweetly, “Auntie, you weren’t hurt, were you?”

The woman in the back seat clearly had not realized that Zhen Lütu was talking to her. She initially thought Zhen Lütu was asking about the injured Tang Yue, but when she saw through the rearview mirror that Zhen Lütu was staring directly at her, she hurriedly replied, “No, I wasn’t hurt.”

Han Yan and Tang Yue also had no idea what Zhen Lütu was doing.

However, they soon heard Zhen Lütu’s voice become even sweeter and more saccharine.

“Oh, is that so? That’s wonderful. But you’d better start praying right now that my Sister Yunyun is okay. Otherwise, I wouldn’t mind sending the two of you back into that swarm of zombies for another little stroll.”
