BlueLake Mall.

At the children’s smart watch counter, the mother and three children sat in a neat row while the sales staff carefully explained how to use the devices and their various functions.

Outside the store, Mo Hanche was on a phone call. After hearing Bai Shuo’s report, he glanced inside at the woman and said in an unquestionable tone:Full novel: Transmigration: I Became the Mother of Three Cannon-Fodder Kids and Won Big — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Investigate them. Send me the information tonight.”

“Yes, sir.”

The call ended, and Bai Shuo immediately got back to work.

Inside the store, Song Wenxi directly bought SIM cards for all three children. The little ones quickly learned how to use their smart watches and even started video calling each other. She reminded them to memorize the phone numbers of all five family members.

Mo Nanqing immediately recited all five numbers perfectly. Mo Beiyu refused to be outdone and did the same. Mo Dongchen could only remember his parents’ numbers for now.

It was the first time Song Wenxi truly realized the children’s extraordinary memory.

But then again… the original owner didn’t seem to have this level of intelligence. It was probably inherited from Mo Hanche.

With Mo Hanche present, Song Wenxi fully entered “shopping mode.” Since she was going to film a show, she felt like she needed everything. Anything she thought might be useful, she wanted to buy.

Clothes, camping gear, insect and snake repellents, medication for colds, fever, heatstroke and injuries, daily necessities…

Mo Hanche reminded her that the program team should already provide some of these things, but she couldn’t help herself—having backups made her feel safer.

After buying for herself, she didn’t forget the children.

She picked out cute outfits, plush toys, and little yellow duck items. Mo Hanche selected a bicycle, scooter, and microscope. The three children chose LEGO sets, a train track model, and a Boonie Bears figurine set.

Passing a camera store, Song Wenxi’s eyes lit up. She handed all the bags to the father and children and went inside alone for a moment—coming out with two cameras.

She hadn’t used a proper camera in a long time; she had been shooting everything with her phone lately, and her hands were itching.

The first photo in the camera was of the father and three children—completely buried under shopping bags and boxes.

It might very well be their first family photo.

In the evening, the five returned to the villa.

Mo Hanche changed clothes and came downstairs to find Mo Nanqing sitting alone on the carpet building LEGO. Song Wenxi and the other two children had fallen asleep squeezed together on the sofa.

Aunt Zhao had already prepared dinner but looked conflicted, unsure whether to wake them.

Mo Hanche told her to leave early. She tidied the scattered items in the living room and left.

“Qing… Qing baby.”

It was the first time Mo Hanche had called his second son that. Song Wenxi called him “Qing baby” so naturally every day, and didn’t even find it cheesy. Instead, she said his “Wenwen” was the embarrassing one—clear double standards.

Mo Nanqing tilted his head to look at his father. Those deer-like eyes were just like hers, and Mo Hanche’s heart softened unconsciously.

His voice also softened.

“Go wash your hands. Eat first.”

Mo Nanqing reluctantly put down his LEGO, but still obediently walked to the bathroom with his short little steps. After washing his hands, he climbed onto the chair and began eating by himself.

Mo Hanche tried to wake the mother and the other two children, but they clearly preferred sleep.

He carried the two younger ones upstairs to the children’s room first, then returned downstairs and lifted her into his arms.

The woman was completely unguarded, her sleeping face soft and obedient.

Was this really Song Wenxi?

The same woman who used to be full of thorns, sharp and aggressive, showing her dislike openly?

How had she suddenly become so gentle and harmless?

He tightened his hold slightly. The person in his arms let out a soft sound but did not wake.

Mo Hanche’s gaze flickered between light and dark.

If she wanted to play this game… he didn’t mind accompanying her.

He opened her bedroom door. Seeing the simple blue-and-white decor, he paused for a moment.

Then he placed her on the bed, crouched beside it, and studied her peaceful sleeping face.

After a brief hesitation—

“Wenwen, should I help you change into something comfortable?”

“If you’re not saying anything, I’ll take that as a yes.”

“Alright, I’ll change you into it now.”

“Do you want to wash up first?”

Mo Hanche found her French-style nightdress and began to change her out of her colorful clothes…

He had overestimated his self-control. Halfway through helping her shower, she vaguely woke up, glanced at him lazily, then drifted back to sleep. By the time he finished, he himself was in a mess and had no choice but to go back to his room and take a cold shower.

When he came downstairs again, Chenchen’s bowl was already empty.

“Are you full?” Mo Hanche touched his slightly round little belly.

The child nodded faintly, his ears turning red.

Mo Hanche let him play with Lego for a while before going upstairs to bathe. The little one didn’t speak, but was surprisingly obedient.

At night, Mo Hanche tossed and turned. All he could think about were the lingering, hazy scenes from the bathroom earlier.

Was she truly that defenseless around him… or did she simply not take him seriously at all?

This was the first time he found himself unable to stay calm because of Song Wenxi. Even his usually steady heart was in turmoil.

A faint sound came from outside the door.

Mo Hanche paused, listened carefully, then got up and opened the door.

Mo Nanqing was standing there, hugging a penguin plush toy, about to twist the handle of the master bedroom door.

Tsk. This little troublemaker—what is he doing not sleeping?

Mo Hanche grabbed the door handle before he could open it.

“What are you doing awake?”

Mo Nanqing sniffed, and seeing his father in pajamas, he softly said, “Brother and little brother didn’t bathe properly. I don’t want to sleep with them.” He hugged his chubby penguin tightly. “I want to sleep with Mommy.”

Mo Hanche knew his son’s picky nature all too well—after all, he had a bit of cleanliness obsession himself.

He simply lifted the child into his arms and carried him back to the second bedroom.

Mo Nanqing didn’t resist when he smelled his father’s clean scent.

Lying on the bed, Mo Hanche placed his hands behind his head, thinking that the three boys would soon be five years old. It was time to arrange separate rooms for them.

Then he thought about how much he had neglected them over the years—and about that day when Song Wenxi had come to his company specifically to talk about the children.

A rare sense of guilt rose in his usually cold heart.

As he thought about the children, the restless heat in his chest gradually settled.

A small dark head burrowed under his arm. Mo Hanche pulled the soft little body into his arms and gently coaxed him to sleep with one hand while covering him with a blanket.

He lowered his gaze and met those watery eyes.

“Do you want a kiss from Daddy?”

“Mm~ I do.”

Mo Hanche leaned down and kissed his forehead.

“Alright. Now go to sleep.”

Mo Nanqing closed his eyes, a small smile still lingering on his lips. Mo Hanche looked at him for a moment, and even his own lips curved slightly as he drifted into sleep.

..

In the middle of the night, Mo Hanche heard movement again.

He quietly got up and went out.

Tsk. As expected of triplets—exactly the same behavior.

The older one was hugging a dinosaur plush toy, the younger one a lobster toy, both preparing to go disturb their mother’s sleep.

Mo Hanche intercepted them.

Mo Beiyu rubbed his eyes and mumbled, “Dad… the second brother is gone.”

Mo Dongchen, with his slightly curly messy hair, added lazily, “Dad, I’m hungry.”

Mo Hanche took a deep breath.

He really owed these kids.

He carried one child in each arm downstairs, threw the plush toys onto the sofa, and went to the kitchen to find some small cakes and milk for them.

After they finished eating, he carried them back upstairs, somewhat clumsily gave them baths, and eventually ended up bringing all three into the second bedroom to sleep together.

Fortunately, his bed was large enough.

Watching the three little ones hugging their respective toys as they slept, he thought—really spoiled kids.

When he was young, he didn’t have this many demands.

He covered them properly with blankets, lay down at the bedside, and closed his eyes again.

And finally fell asleep.
