"Hey."
The person who entered the room widened their eyes as they saw what greeted them.
Not Lukas’s face. No, something had greeted him before that.
Lukas held the gun, letting its muzzle point directly at the head of the man in front of him.
It was a slender man with brown hair that was arranged messily atop his head. His black eyes were heavy as if he was sleep-deprived. Sacks had begun forming beneath them.
"Close the door," Lukas said, gesturing with his gun.
The boy answered instantly, shutting the door behind him.
"Come on, sit," he said.
But the boy raised a brow as he looked around.
He was not allowed to think for long.
"Sit on the floor."
He raised a brow, gritting his teeth at the sudden command to sit on the floor.
"Seems like you possess two lives," Lukas said, cocking his gun with a lewd smile. "Let’s see you waste one now."
That was enough to break the boy. He fell to the floor on his butt, only wincing a moment later as the pain rattled him.
Lukas stood up from his chair, walking forward to stand before the boy.
He could now see the boy clearly.
’He is barely fifteen,’ Lukas thought, his pupils dilating.
Although he knew that people matured faster in this world, that did not justify using a small boy as a slave.
"What’s your name?" Lukas asked.
"Grant."
Lukas was about to speak but he was cut off.
"How did you get in here? If Mr Tencent gets back, he will kill you," Grant continued.
"I do the speaking, your only duty is to answer me," Lukas said, leaning forward slightly.
The boy nodded quickly as he saw the gun near his face.
At this moment, Lukas looked like an angry god of death.
"First, why are you here?"
The boy remained silent for a while, as if he was contemplating whether to reply or not.
"You only have three seconds to reply to each question by the way," Lukas added, leaning backward to rest his butt on the table.
A loud gulp followed as Geabt stared into Lukas’s dead cold blue eyes.
"One."
"My parents were debtors to Mr Tencent before they died, and they used me as collateral for the loan."
Lukas furrowed his brows, then nodded.
"So, how are things here? What businesses does Tencent run?"
Although he had read the records, it was always better to hear directly from the one who made the record in the first place.
His eyes trembled in fear. "Mr Tencent would kill me if I said anything," he replied, lowering his head.
Lukas raised a brow, then smiled. ’I don’t know if it is just loyalty or a sense of responsibility, but he does not seem like someone who would say any of Tencent’s secrets.’
But even if it was one of them, Lukas was not angry. After all, if such a person became his subordinate, he would be less exposed to betrayal.
A smirk tugged at his lips as he thought of it.
’System, what is the time flow of the workshop relative to the outside world?’
[It is almost negligible. A mortal can not comprehend the gap.]
’Does that mean if I enter now I would be able to create something and come out without this boy noticing?’
[Yes. Only true gods can notice, and even then, it would be too fast for them to react in time.]
Lukas nodded, stroking his chin slowly. Then with a thought, he opened the god system.
The screen flashed in front of him, displaying a screen familiar to him.
’Open the workshop.’
The world around him seemed to twist as if the very fabric that held reality was being torn to allow the manifestation of this anomalous place.
[Welcome, Godchild Lukas Morningstar of the Trickery authority. Define what you wish to create.]
Lukas did not dawdle like the first time. Unlike before, he was now used to the infinite white expanse of the system.
He wasted no time and began defining what he wanted to create.
"A miracle that allows me to..."
Time flew by slowly, and Lukas had defined his creations.
The world began to stir violently, but Lukas was not as tense as the first time he witnessed it.
Then three orbs began to form from the haze.
’Here we go again,’ Lukas thought as the orbs shot through his glabella.
Then the same change he had experienced before covered his body.
[You may leave if you are done creating,] the system’s cold voice snapped him out of his reverie.
Lukas was back in the real world in the next blink, still staring at Grant whose head was bent.
"What if I told you I killed Tencent already?" Lukas asked.
"Mr Tencent can not be killed by your ordinary gun," Grant replied almost immediately, his voice low.
Lukas smiled. "Why don’t you hold on and watch a show?"
In the next second, the world around them changed.
[You have consumed 3000 divine essence to activate miracle: Staged Reality]
Everything began to twist as if reality was being rewritten.
"Is that?" Grant’s muffled voice spoke.
Both he and Lukas were floating in the sky above, watching what was going on beneath.
Corpses littered the floor, Carmen had long been killed with a hole in her skull. The men Tencent had taken were also lying dead on the floor.
Tencent was on his knees, his face bloodied, his arm twisted grotesquely.
Standing in front of him was one person, wearing a sleek black suit.
In his hand was a gun, pointing straight at Tencent’s glabella.
Tencent raised his head with the last bit of strength he could muster.
Bang!
The sound made Grant cover his ear with wide eyes.
The person who had shot the gun raised his head, turning back slightly as though he could see both of them.
It was none other than Lukas.
Looking into Grant’s sunken eyes, a grin flashed across Lukas’s lips.
