[Workshop]

[Pantheon: None]

[I am back, host, ] The same system that had spoken to him before appeared again.

Lukas furrowed his brows, momentarily looking away from the system.

"Aren’t you the system I am facing now?" Lukas asked with raised brows.

[No. I am a guide to help you become the god of Trickery. While the other system is the god system available to every god.]

Lukas furrowed his brows. "So, there was a difference."

[I am here to explain the system to you, and also deliver the beginner’s pack to you.]

"Go on," Lukas said with a nod.

The system went quiet for a moment before it continued.

[The Divine System allows the user to track their creations and followers in real time. It also tracks divinity gains.]

Lukas raised a brow. "Why did you stop?" He asked.

[Sentence break helps learners understand faster.]

Lukas shook his head at the system’s words, but he said nothing about it.

[Divinity is the currency of creation. It is earned by slaying voidborns. By using divinity, a god can create anything, as long as they can imagine it, and it is within the scope of their authority.]

’I thought as much,’ Lukas mused with slightly arced brows.

[The host has received a beginner’s pack: one thousand divinity. In addition, the God of Trickery is not a brute who charges into battle. You gain fifty percent of divinity earned from killing beings as long as you instigated the conflict.]

The first few seconds passed without another word from the system. That was when Lukas understood it had vanished yet again.

His eyes caught the divinity stat rising fast, till it stopped at a thousand.

"This feels really dangerous," Lukas muttered with a sigh.

Facing beings capable of destroying cities, or moving faster than sound.

All of it felt like an illusion crafted by his mind due to exhaustion.

"But is an illusion meant to be this real?"

The question lingered in the air with no clear answer to it.

"You know what? Fuck it all, dream or not, I will reach the top and slap whoever brought me to this world."

He banged his hand on the table as he pushed himself up.

Looking through the window by the side near him, he could still see the rain falling heavily.

But it was only morning.

"How about stress-testing this system," Lukas said with a smile.

He already had what he wanted to create in mind. Three things, actually.

"Hopefully, I have enough divinity to handle it."

He paused for a while before he called the system again.

"Open the workshop."

As soon as those words fell from his mouth, his perception of reality seemed to warp, folding under a higher power.

The world around him shifted, transformed into a world of plain white.

Nothing existed except the motes of essence that drifted through the air, and the interface in front of him.

[Welcome, Godchild Lukas Morningstar of the Trickery authority. Please, define what you wish to create.]

The words were mechanical, as if said by an emotionless machine.

But Lukas did not think much about it.

"I would like to create a mask..."

Time flew by slowly, and Lukas had defined his creations.

[You do not possess enough divinity for all three creations. Would you like to exclude one, or reduce the potency of all three creations?]

"Reduce."

Lukas had guessed it too. There was no way he was going to create those three directly. Thankfully, the system offered him an alternative that worked well for him.

The world stirred wildly. Not enough to threaten him, but enough to make his body tense.

From the haze of the chaos, three orbs began to surface.

Each one of them radiating a different light.

Before he could express his shock, the orbs were already flying towards him.

Lukas covered his body, instincts overriding rationality.

But the orbs did not damage him, only passing through his body softly.

"Ehn?" He whispered, feeling the slight change in his body.

[You may leave if you are done creating,] the system’s cold voice snapped him out of his shock.

"Yeah, yeah," Lukas said with a wave of his palm.

He felt his body shift again.

He was back in his room, staring through the window like before.

"Time moves faster in that place, it seems," he muttered, looking at the car that was driving away before he entered the workshop.

But he did not linger much on it. Instead, he chose to see his new creations.

"System,"

The system opened, showing Lukas his stats, and his new creations.

He tapped on them quickly.

[Divine Relic: Mask of Deceit: Stores the appearance of any person touched by the wearer. The wearer can change into that appearance for one hour with a cooldown of 10 minutes between changes. Appearance only includes face, voice, and physique.]

[Divine Relic: Destiny Veil: Any information-gathering miracle, relic, or blessing used on someone under this umbrella by a being of the same rank or lower, is automatically nullified. ]

[Blessing: Silver Tongue: Words are persuasive and easily believable to listeners]

That was all Lukas could create at the moment. And what he felt he needed the most.

"All that’s left is to register at the Association of Awakened and get the bonus."

He walked to the wrecked wardrobe and opened the last part.

This was where the previous Lukas kept his good clothes.

"What killed him, though?" Lukas thought as he checked the clothes there. His memory said nothing about the previous body’s death.

"This should do," Lukas said, pulling a set of clothes from the wardrobe.

"I can’t even drop on this wet bed," he said with muffled laughter.

He returned the clothes to the wardrobe "Stay here for now."

With those words, he returned the clothes to the wardrobe and walked into the bathroom.
