"My Aunt?" Logan asked as he stared at his mother.
He was genuinely shocked to find out he had an aunt.
Well, a part of him thought she would be his mom's sister, but it seems she's actually a close friend to Rowena instead.
Still, he couldn't help but wonder if this aunt of his was actually an elf or not, just like his mom.
"Yes, peanut. Your Aunt Delphine used to carry you around and play with you when you were little, so you probably do not remember her yet, but I'm sure she'll be thrilled to see you again after all these years. Well, that is, if you're interested in seeing her too."
Hearing his mother's words, Logan nodded immediately. "Yes, of course, I am," Logan replied instantly with a genuinely curious look on his face, regarding the fact that his mom actually had a friend of her own.
And he couldn't help but wonder what kind of person his aunt was.
Moving on, Rowena noticed the excited look on her son's face, and she was pleased to see Logan was interested in seeing Delphine.
And so, she drifted her gaze to Odette.
"Alright. Very well, then. I'll text you both the location, and I'll expect you two to meet her where the jet lands with her tonight." Rowena informed Odette, and the beautiful half-elf nodded in understanding.
And so, time passed just like that.
Once everyone had finished eating, Odette cleared the table and carried the dishes to the kitchen, leaving Rowena and Logan alone at the table.
Meanwhile, Logan noticed they were alone, so he swiftly glanced over at the note in his hand one last time before handing it over to his mom.
"Here it is, Mom. I finished what I was working on." Logan slid the notebook across to her.
Looking at it, Rowena noticed the notebook was small but heavy.
It was clearly a new notebook, and yet every page from the first to the last had already been filled with the detailed information Logan had written in it.
"What is this, dear?" Rowena asked.
"It's something I put together, based on what I already knew and a bit of research I found online." Logan replied as he watched her open the first page.
Reading the content, Rowena was able to instantly comprehend what had been written in front of her.
"A cosmetic recipe?"
"Yeah. I was thinking it might be nice to start a cosmetics company of our own. You know, it could be a company with products better than anything currently on the market."
"And you believe this will actually be better than what's already out there?"
"Yes, Mom, I'm sure of it."
Rowena noticed the serious gaze in his eyes, and she could see that her son was confident about what he had written.
However, she was also interested in seeing if her son would admit the real reason he had suddenly decided to help her.
"Hmm, but peanut? Why did you make this? Are you in need of money, and I don't know about it? Cause if you do need money, you know you can always..."
"No, Mom. It's nothing like that. I just thought it'd be nice for you to have a company of your own, even if you're already the owner of one of the biggest nightclubs in the city."
"I see, but Mommy already works at a very large company, so I don't see why I would need to have my own company."
"I know, but you never know when you might need extra income someday, and a cosmetics company could come in handy." Logan's smile widened, and Rowena couldn't help but smile back.
She could tell he had no intention of admitting what he'd actually overheard last night, and she wasn't going to force it out of him either.
It clearly showed that her son genuinely wanted to help her, and he was also trying to protect Odette at the same time as well.
"Very well, dear. Since this was entirely your idea, I think it would be better if the company becomes yours and not mine. But first though, I'll have it reviewed by a few experts with real experience on matters related to this. So I'll have them confirm the ingredients are safe for skin, and then they'll gauge whether the finished product actually stands a real chance in the market going forward."
Hearing this, Logan realised it might take a while for all the confirmation to be made, but he was glad to see his mother was willing to take the next step seriously.
It just showed how much she trusted him despite him having zero experience in cosmetology, and Logan couldn't help but feel touched.
"Thanks, Mom."
"Anytime, peanut." Rowena stood up with the notebook in her hand.
Then she kissed his forehead before saying. "Alright, dear, it's time for Mommy to get dressed and head to work. I have an important meeting today, and I don't want to be late."
"Alright, Mom. Take care."
"Don't forget to call or text once you arrive at Delphine's place, okay?" Rowena waved without turning back as she walked out of the room.
"Okay."
Logan waved back and watched as his mother sashayed out of the room.
Then he leaned back in his chair before staring at the ceiling with a satisfied smile on his face.
Strangely enough, his plan on helping his mother had successfully taken its first step toward achievement, and he couldn't wait to see the look on his mom's face when she realises the goldmine she's holding right now.
As for the cosmetic recipe.
It's the same recipe his system had rewarded him with, and it's been circling in his mind for hours ever since the system rewarded him with it.
So, the moment he learned his mother might lose everything in the near future, this immediately allowed Logan to know exactly what he needed to do with the knowledge he had in his mind.
Thankfully, she hadn't asked too many questions as to how he had learnt about it, and neither had she tried to discourage him.
That alone made him happier than he could say, and he certainly couldn't wait for everything to fall in place.
Cause if everything went according to plan, and the company actually got built, Logan was prepared to become a co-owner of the cosmetic company alongside his mother.
'Yeah, it would really be exciting.'
Holding onto that thought, Logan's smile widened as he waited to see what the experts' verdict would be.
But just then, a new screen suddenly popped up in front of him, congratulating him on completing his quests.
