Roya slumped onto the blood-stained metal floor, panting heavily.

Below his field of vision, not only were there three remaining red hearts and a full hunger bar, but in the middle of the two status bars, there was also an eye-catching green number “4”.

This was the experience level.Full novel: Warhammer 40K: Starting With The Power Of Minecraft — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Having experienced death in battle and resurrection once, his level not only did not reset to zero, but instead rose to level 4 after killing the Ork Warboss just now.

“The keep inventory rule has been enabled.” Roya stared at that number, quickly making a judgment.

But he looked down at his bare body.

Roya stood up and walked over to the headless corpse of the Ork Warboss.

He reached out and tore off a few pieces of rough leather and rags from the Ork’s body, wrapping them simply and crudely around his waist and body.

A strong smell of blood assailed his nostrils, and he expressionlessly tied the knot tightly.

The moment he turned around, the corner of his eye caught an abnormality.

Above the corpses of several Ork Boyz, a few slowly rotating miniature models were suspended.

This scene was extremely incongruous, yet incomparably familiar.

Roya strode over.

“Pop.” A crisp sound effect rang out in his mind.

The suspended items instantly disappeared, slipping directly into the hidden inventory in the bottom right corner of his vision.

Roya moved his mind and pulled up the inventory interface.

Two brand-new icons lay quietly in the slots.

The first slot was a meat icon with green spots, marked with the text below: [Ork Spore Meat].

The second slot was a white yarn ball icon, marked with the text: [Ork String].

Focusing his sight on the icons, lines of descriptions emerged.

The Ork Spore Meat could be roasted through a furnace and eaten to restore hunger.

As for the properties and functions of the Ork String, they were completely equivalent to string in the Minecraft World, which could be used to craft bows, fishing rods, or weave wool.

“The biological laws of Warhammer have been forcibly assimilated by the Minecraft system.” A sneer curved the corner of Roya’s mouth.

With crafting materials, the next step was to acquire tools.

Roya looked up and glanced around.

This ruin used to be a massive industrial processing area, with many decaying logs and damaged wooden crates used to support tunnels scattered in the corners.

He walked up to a thick log support pillar, clenched his right hand into a fist, aimed at the surface of the wood, and smashed straight into it.

The first punch fell.

A black network of cracks appeared out of thin air on the surface of the log.

The cracks spread around, centered on the point of impact.

Roya punched continuously.

“Bang!

Bang!

Bang!” With the final heavy blow, black cracks covered the entire surface of the wood block.

“Pop.” The half-meter-square wood block shattered directly out of thin air, turning into a miniature wood block model that dropped to the ground.

Roya stepped forward and collected it into his inventory.

Where the support pillar originally stood, there was now an absolutely flat square gap, completely ignoring gravity and the supporting structures of physical mechanics.

Following the same pattern, he quickly mined more than a dozen logs.

With a thought, he clicked open the crafting interface.

The logs were converted into planks, and four planks were placed in a 2×2 grid.

“Click.” A workbench with tool attachments and a 3×3 grid appeared in his hand.

Then he used the Ork string to make wool, and then made a bed to carry with him, to be used later when he needed to reset his spawn point.

Roya then used planks to craft sticks, and combining them with planks, a square wooden pickaxe took shape and fell into his hand.

Holding the wooden pickaxe, Roya turned and walked toward a concrete wall on the side of the ruins.

The wall was mixed with a large amount of stone.

The wooden pickaxe swung and heavily chiseled against the wall.

Black cracks appeared once more, spreading and shattering.

“Pop.” A square cobblestone dropped.

Roya swung the wooden pickaxe with increasing frequency.

Stones dropped one after another.

Returning to the workbench, the wooden pickaxe was discarded, and a brand-new stone pickaxe was crafted.

Upgrading from scrap to treasures.

With the stone pickaxe, Roya’s gaze locked onto those thick abandoned metal pipes in the center of the ruins.

These pipes were covered in rust, but the material was solid metal.

The stone pickaxe smashed against the metal pipe, producing a dull blacksmithing sound.

The speed at which the cracks spread was a bit slower than mining stone, but still steady.

A dozen seconds later.

“Pop.” The pipe broke to reveal a square gap, and a piece of raw iron dropped.

Roya used materials close at hand and crafted a furnace using cobblestone.

He tore off a few waste planks as fuel, stuffed them into the bottom of the furnace, and placed the raw iron into the top.

A miniature flame immediately ignited on the front of the furnace.

A few minutes later, pieces of iron ingot shimmering with a silvery-white metallic luster were freshly produced.

Using these iron ingots, Roya quickly crafted them on the workbench.

An iron pickaxe, an iron sword, and the most crucial container—the iron bucket.

In less than half an hour, he completed the industrial leap from bare hands to the Iron Age.

Carrying the iron bucket, Roya walked to a sewage outlet at the edge of the ruins.

There, highly toxic wastewater exuding a foul stench and fluorescent green color was flowing.

He extended the iron bucket into it.

The moment he scooped the water, the iron bucket was filled with a bucket of water that was crystal clear without the slightest impurity.

The Minecraft system’s judgment directly erased the toxins of the Warhammer world, extracting the purest water source.

He walked over to a crack in the lower deck again, where high-temperature slag discarded by the factory was flowing.

With a scoop of the iron bucket, a bucket of bubbling, pure lava was collected into his inventory.

With weapons, a water source, and lava, Roya’s confidence was completely bolstered.

Just as he was preparing to leave this area, a strange sound came from the shadows deep within the ruins.

“Ugh…” Accompanied by a low, hoarse roar, there was also the “click” sound of bones colliding with each other.

Roya immediately drew his iron sword, keeping his gaze locked on the shadows.

Two figures slowly walked out.

Roya was stunned.

Walking in front was a square human figure with pale green skin, wearing tattered blue clothes and purple pants, with both hands raised straight in front of its chest.

Following behind it was a skeleton composed entirely of white square bones, holding a square bow and arrow in its hands.

These were the Zombie and Skeleton from Minecraft!

A short, skinny figure suddenly darted out from a pile of garbage on the other side of the ruins.

That was a Gretchin of the Warhammer world (a subspecies of the Ork, extremely small in size, cowardly and cunning).

This Gretchin was currently searching for useful things.

The Zombie and Skeleton were close at hand.

Just when Roya thought the Zombie and Skeleton were going to attack the Gretchin, an extremely bizarre scene occurred.

The Gretchin’s lean and skinny body crashed straight into the Zombie blocking the middle of the road.

There was no collision, no biting; the Gretchin’s body actually passed straight through the Zombie’s square torso, just like passing through a layer of holographic projection!

As for that Zombie and the Skeleton behind it, they completely turned a blind eye to the Gretchin passing through their bodies.

Their square heads turned in unison, locking dead onto Roya not far away.

“They cannot see each other, nor can they touch each other.” Roya understood in an instant.

The creatures of the Minecraft dimension and the creatures of the Warhammer dimension were on two parallel layers.

Except for Roya, who possessed the system, the creatures of these two worlds could not produce any interaction.

At this moment, the Zombie let out a roar, and with stiff strides, rushed toward Roya.

The skeleton also raised the bow and arrow in its hands, beginning to charge its strength.

At the same time, the Gretchin that had passed through the Zombie’s body also stopped in its tracks.

It saw Roya, a ferocious expression appeared on its ugly face, and pulling out a rusted rasp from its hand, it shrieked and pounced over.

From the Gretchin’s perspective, Roya was just standing alone in the open space, dazing off.

“Seeking death.” Roya’s gaze turned cold.

Facing enemies from three directions, he took the initiative to attack.

The skeleton’s arrow shot out.

Roya leaped into the air, dodging the arrow.

The iron sword in his hand slashed a silver streak through the air, fiercely hacking down onto the top of the Zombie’s head.

“Bang!” The Zombie’s body flashed with red light, stepping back a step.

Roya landed, ignoring the Zombie, and instead smoothly flew out with a kick, accurately landing it on the face of the rushing Gretchin.

“Crack.” The Gretchin’s fragile cervical spine snapped directly, its small and skinny body flying out like a rag sack, slamming heavily against the metal wall, sliding down with a pool of blood.

Having resolved the trouble in the physical world, Roya turned around and swung his iron sword three times in succession.

“Bang!

Bang!

Bang!” The Zombie flashed with red light, its body violently falling backward and turning into a puff of white smoke that dissipated.

In its place dropped a piece of rotten flesh and several experience balls glowing with a yellowish-green light.

The skeleton behind drew its bow once more.

Roya switched out a few cobblestone blocks from his inventory at the speed of light, building up a stone wall in front of him with two “swoosh” sounds.

The arrow nailed into the stone wall.

Roya bypassed the stone wall, slashing continuously with his iron sword to hack the skeleton to pieces.

A bone and two arrows dropped to the ground.

He stepped forward and absorbed all the loot and experience balls completely.

Accompanied by a crisp and ethereal sound effect, the experience value number at the bottom of Roya’s perspective jumped from “4” to “5”.

Level 5 achieved.

The moment his level increased, a huge golden prompt box popped up on Roya’s retina: [System Unlocked New Permission: Villager Conversion] [Description: Consuming experience points and specific resources, humanoid carbon-based life forms of the current universe can be forcibly bound to the Minecraft system interface.

The bound person will obtain the “Villager” template, being endowed with corresponding professions and trading UI.

After binding, the target will absolutely obey system instructions and conduct resource production and trade under system rules.] Roya stared fixedly at these words, his heartbeat beginning to accelerate.

In the mad universe of Warhammer 40K, human lives were the most worthless consumables.

Whether it was the scavengers at the bottom of the Hive City or the fanatics of the Ecclesiarchy, their numbers were as numerous as the sands of the Ganges.

And now, he could directly convert these people into Villager.

Blacksmith, priest, Librarian, farmer…

As long as he established a sufficient trading pipeline, he could conjure up enchanted books, diamond equipment, infinite food out of thin air, and even convert the technological creations of the Warhammer world into tradable modular commodities through system rules!

“I need to find a few living people to verify this mechanism.” Roya said softly.
