That Ork reached its arm in, but unable to see the scene inside the cave, it could only swing its weapon around blindly.

Lynn swung his sword at its arm.

It didn’t cut through.

He broke its defense slightly, but the Ork probably didn’t even feel any pain.

The Greenskins’ skin was too thick, their muscle density was too high, and their bone density was even higher; it required a great deal of strength to cut into them.

Although Lynn had drawn a Stamina Enhancement earlier, he still only had the strength of an ordinary person.

Ordinary humans in Warhammer 40K absolutely cannot cut through Orks unless they are equipped with power armor.

Sigh, he really wanted power armor too.

But it didn’t matter.

If he couldn’t chop the arm, he could still chop this Ork’s fingers.

With one swing of his sword, three of the Ork’s fingers fell off.

That Greenskin let out a howl, clutched its hand, and retreated outward.

On the other side, Cecilia also instantly chopped off an Ork’s hand.

Then came a new Ork’s hand.

They saw their companion’s fate, but they simply wouldn’t stop.

These are Orks—single-celled organisms with low intelligence.

…

** …

They held off the Ork attack just like this at the narrow cave entrance.

Fortunately, they had this small entrance, making it easy to defend.

Whoever poked their head in got chopped.

A massive crowd of Orks squeezed together outside, unable to get in.

Hammer squatted further back, with six bombs laid out in front of him.

He lined the bombs up in a row, checked the wires once to ensure none were broken, and then looked up and gave Lynn and Cecilia an OK gesture.

He felt that the Orks outside had gathered enough and that basically no more Orks were pouring out from the camp.

Hammer used the binoculars equipped on his gas mask to count them.

This scavenging party wasn’t too large; there were about thirty low-level Choppa Boyz.

Between bombing and killing, they shouldn’t crash and burn here.

He nodded to Lynn and Cecilia.

Although Orks were much thicker-skinned and fleshier than cultists, their brains were also smaller; they completely lacked the ability to recognize traps.

Cecilia nodded and motioned for Lynn to step aside a bit.

Then she drew her bolter, stood right at the entrance, and fired bang, bang, bang at the few Orks right at the front outside.

The heads of the targeted Orks exploded like watermelons.

…Or maybe they weren’t even as big as watermelons.

The commotion among the Ork horde grew even more intense.

Then, Lynn and Cecilia quickly stepped away from the entrance, running toward the corner of the passage deep inside the cave.

Orks had no idea what a trap was.

Sensing that the people behind the entrance had disappeared, the Orks let out excited roars and eagerly scrambled to charge in.

With no one blocking them, they squeezed in very quickly.

Lynn, Cecilia, and Hammer hid behind the corner.

Lynn turned off his flashlight, and Hammer used his night-vision goggles to count the number of Orks charging in through the darkness.

The Orks held torches in their hands, the firelight flickering.

Hammer counted quickly among the green figures.

Five, eight, fifteen…

thirty.

He estimated that pretty much all the Orks had come in and were excitedly searching the cave for enemies.

Hammer pressed the trigger.

“BOOM——!!!!!!” Multiple bombs triggered simultaneously, creating an earth-shattering explosion.

Lynn and the others had already hidden at the corner in time, pressing tightly against the mountain wall, but they were still pushed back a few steps by the swarming wave of heat.

A few strands of their hair were scorched, giving off a smell like burning plastic.

Fortunately, Cecilia stood in front of them; the power armor was very heavy, and the heat wave didn’t move her.

She acted like a wall, blocking most of the impact for Lynn and Hammer; otherwise, it might not have just been a matter of stumbling back a few steps.

Hammer reached up and touched the top of his head, feeling a few curly strands of hair.

He held the strands up to his eyes—they were already scorched, crispy, and crumbling at a pinch.

“My hair.” Y.Y Behind him, Lynn touched his own hair.

A few strands of his hair were scorched too, but not many.

It was fine; he had a lot of hair, so it was acceptable.

Smoke poured in from the entrance, carrying the pungent smell of fuel and the scent of burnt meat.

Lynn coughed twice, covered his nose with his sleeve, and poked his head out to look.

The originally narrow entrance had been blasted much wider, and light poured in from outside, illuminating the mountain cavity.

Because the explosion happened in an almost circular, enclosed space, the shockwaves stacked, and the power doubled.

The Greenskins outside were laid out across the floor—green blood and charred corpses were everywhere.

The occasional few that could still move were just crawling on the ground, struggling, unable to get up.

Cecilia walked into the pile of Greenskins, her power sword swinging from left to right, delivering release to these brainless things.

Let them recognize the mark of this warrior of the Emperor, and let them not be the Emperor’s enemy in their next life.

…

Many Greenskins were blown to death, and Cecilia chopped down the rest.

“Are there any more?” Cecilia asked.

Hammer squeezed out of the cave entrance, quickly tapping his dataslate a few times.

“None in the camp either.

There are no Greenskin signals nearby; those just now should be all of them.” The counter-kill was successful!

Cecilia wiped her power sword on a Greenskin’s rags, rubbing off the green blood, and sheathed the sword back on her back.

Hammer crouched next to an Ork corpse and poked the Ork’s teeth with his welding torch.

This Ork’s tusks were as long as a finger, yellow, with black veins on them.

Then, he started pulling teeth.

“What are you doing?” Lynn asked in surprise.

“These can be sold for money,” Hammer said.

So, Lynn started pulling them with him.

After pulling the teeth, Cecilia used a fire to burn all the Ork corpses on the ground.

When Ork corpse tissue falls into the soil, it grows into new Orks.

Although she couldn’t burn them perfectly clean, burning as much as possible would at least reduce their numbers.

“Will Orks blown to pieces grow back?” Hammer asked.

“As long as the Ork has even a little bit of active tissue left, new Orks will grow from that bit of tissue,” Lynn answered.

Cut the weeds but leave the roots, and the spring breeze will blow them back to life.

To kill Orks, all their tissue must be burned clean.

If it’s not cleaned up, even more Greenskins will grow here in a few days.

Cecilia gave Lynn an approving look.

“Correct.” The specialized fire was white and incredibly hot.

The skin of the Ork corpses blistered in the flames, then turned black, and then cracked open, exposing the muscles and bones underneath.

The muscles shrank in the flames, and the bones turned brittle in the flames and then burned to ash.

Cecilia then took a flamethrower and burned the surrounding area to eliminate the spores as much as possible.

If the Greenskins didn’t have this regenerative ability, they probably wouldn’t have become such a major threat to the Imperium.

This race is truly a pain.

Even after killing them, you have to destroy the corpses and erase the traces; otherwise, the corpses themselves will turn into even more enemies.

…

He was just watching Cecilia burn the corpses.

A Ding—— suddenly echoed in Lynn’s mind again.

“Hm?” It turned out the system had suddenly appeared!

Why would the system suddenly appear when it wasn’t a holiday or a milestone???

Lynn was just wondering.

The system prompted with an emotionless mechanical voice: [Detected that the host’s active enemy kills have cumulatively reached one hundred.] [Condition: Plot Node ‘Hundred-Man Slayer’ triggered.] [Reward: Obtained one extra draw attempt.] [Wow, so surprising.

To think you could rack up a hundred kills while possessing absolutely zero combat power.] Lynn stood frozen in place, his mouth hanging open.

“…Huh?” He turned to look at Cecilia and Hammer.

Huh?????

Huh????????
