## Watching Yu-Gi-Oh!
Shorts, the Old-school Duelists Have a Meltdown!
# Chapter 7: Blue-Eyes Combo Guide!
The World is Stunned!
In the DM World, following the short video’s demonstration of the Blue-Eyes White Dragon “Rank 8 Overlay Stacking” into Galaxy-Eyes monsters, a heavy silence fell.
Seto Kaiba took a deep breath, his chest heaving as he struggled to process the sheer shock that had seized his heart.
“Xyz…” he whispered.
“A completely new method of summoning!”
The sheer power displayed had shaken him to his core.
“Is this the power of the Blue-Eyes, transcending even Fusion? Is this what lies beyond?” He paused, his brow furrowing.
“Then… what exactly is a Synchro?”
Kaiba muttered to himself, his mind replaying the loop of those two Blue-Eyes White Dragons stacking on top of one another.
Even though the clip was only dozens of seconds long, it provided him with a foundational understanding of Xyz.
“Sss… such simple summoning conditions!” Yugi Muto hissed, he and the Pharaoh within him quickly analyzing the mechanics.
“But to activate an effect, you have to ‘detach’ the materials beneath the card. It seems the number of times you can use their abilities is strictly limited.”
“That must be the defining trait of Xyz,” Atem added.
As Yugi and Kaiba spoke, the surrounding duelists—Joey Wheeler, Mai Valentine, and the others—began to grasp the concept of this strange, “black card” summoning.

In the GX World, the students and staff who had been frantically searching the Duel Academy library for any mention of “Xyz” suddenly stopped.
There was no need to search anymore.
The video had laid it all bare.
This was Xyz—a summoning method that surpassed the logic of their Fusion-centric world.
“Whoa, that looks like so much fun!” Jaden Yuki exclaimed, his eyes sparkling.
“Xyz Summoning, huh? Does that mean if I stack two Level 4 Elemental HEROs, I can bring out a Rank 4 Xyz Monster too?!”
He blinked rapidly, already imagining his HEROs.
Did his deck contain unknown HERO overlaps he hadn’t discovered yet? This chapter was copied from g.com without permission.
“If that’s the case,” Zane Truesdale mused, a faint, cold smile touching his lips, “then Cyber Dragons… heh. Perhaps there is still more room to struggle upward.”
Zane had caught a glimmer of potential for his Cyber Style within the Xyz mechanics.
He immediately began calculating how to push his deck to the next level using this newfound power.

In the 5D’s World, Yusei Fudo and his friends—masters of the Synchro Summon—watched the rapid-fire overlay demonstration with intense focus.
They were learning an entirely different language of dueling in seconds.
“Even so,” Yusei murmured to himself, “is it really practical to mix Xyz into a Synchro deck? My Synchrons… Stardust… could they be used for Xyz as well?”
Despite his curiosity, he hadn’t yet seen an Xyz monster that fit his specific archetype.
“Well, none of that matters for now,” Akiza Izinski said, placing a hand on Yusei’s shoulder.
“The video is moving on to the actual combo demonstrations for the Blue-Eyes archetype. Let’s keep watching.”
The group turned their attention back to the screen.

After showing how Xyz could be integrated, the video transitioned into a series of core combo demonstrations for the Blue-Eyes White Dragon deck.
[BrideIsMine]: “Alright, here we go! Next up are some standard Blue-Eyes maneuvers! Let’s take a look!”
[BrideIsMine]: “Maneuver 1: Reveal Blue-Eyes White Dragon to Special Summon Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon. Normal Summon The White Stone of Ancients (Level 1 Tuner). Then, 8+1—Synchro Summon Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon to control the field.”
[BrideIsMine]: “If you have the archetype’s powerful Quick-Play Spell, Ultimate Fusion, in hand, you can easily bring out Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon. After all, you can use Dragon Shrine to mill your deck and set up the Graveyard.”
[BrideIsMine]: “Maneuver 2: Use Maiden with Eyes of Blue in tandem with Sage with Eyes of Blue to put two copies of Blue-Eyes White Dragon directly onto the field! This makes setting up a Rank 8 board incredibly easy.”
[BrideIsMine]: “Maneuver 3: Use The Melody of Awakening Dragon to discard a card and search for one Alternative and one vanilla Blue-Eyes. This can be used alongside Blue-Eyes Jet Dragon to establish a sticky board presence.”
[BrideIsMine]: “In short: Go first? Set up Spirit Dragon for stability. Go second? Use Ultimate Fusion to break the board. It’s that simple.”

The rapid-fire explanation, paired with the fluid visuals of the cards moving on screen, left the duelists of the DM, GX, and 5D’s Worlds in stunned silence.
Meanwhile, the ZEXAL, ARC-V, and VRAINS Worlds were falling into a frenzy.
The first three worlds were silent because they were still processing the Synchro and support cards.
*The White Stone of Ancients?
Ultimate Fusion?
Maiden and Sage with Eyes of Blue?*
“What are these cards?!” Kaiba gripped his head, staring at the screen in a daze.
His heart was racing with excitement.
*Blue-Eyes!
It’s actually this strong!*
Yugi Muto and Atem were equally floored by the sheer fluidity of the plays.
Blue-Eyes White Dragon—a monster that usually required two Tributes—was being summoned as if it were nothing.
Alternative’s summoning condition was so simple it felt like cheating.
In the GX World, the confusion was centered on Synchro Summoning.
They couldn’t quite wrap their heads around it.
“How does a 1 and an 8 make a 9?” Professor Crowler muttered.
“What’s the difference between a Tuner and a Non-Tuner? Is Synchro just… addition? Do we need to be math geniuses to use this?”
As the realization dawned on them, Jaden and the others began to see the logic behind the “White Cards.”
In the 5D’s World, they were baffled by a deck that could move so seamlessly between Synchro and Xyz.
It was one thing to Synchro Summon, but to do both with such ease?
Yusei and Jack Atlas looked at each other, scratching their heads.
Even for them, the versatility was a bit hard to swallow.
The later three worlds, however, were silent for a different reason.
They were shocked by how easily a deck could pump out Level 8 monsters with 3000 ATK.
This Blue-Eyes deck…
it was the real deal.
