“By the way, what about your sedan? Did you really lend it to Jaze and Mark?” Sean asked.

“I didn’t lend it, it’s for rent. So, we don’t need to worry about our gas costs, as their rent will cover it.”

He was earning something by renting his car to them, so he didn’t mind handling the gas costs for their travels the whole semester, as Jaze and Mark would probably be renting it for the entire duration.Full novel: We Tried Dodging Our Marriage, Now We’re Solving Irregularities (BL) — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

He had rented his car to them at a very friendly price, which didn’t even cost a quarter of the normal rate for renting other cars, since he wouldn’t be using his other vehicle anyway.

“Thanks for the free gas!” Sean said, and then added regretfully, “If I had known, I should have brought my car with me and also rented it out to others this semester so that I could have more money to spend.”

“Even if you brought it, would you even rent it out?” Eli asked, because he knew that Sean was sometimes a worrywart and cared deeply for his car, since it was a gift from his older brother.

“You’re right, I probably couldn’t rent it out,” Sean said with a nod.

Eli chuckled, as Sean hadn’t even thought about it further and immediately gave him an honest reply.

While talking, both of them reached the parking lot, and Eli readily went to the passenger seat while Sean drove.

The school really wasn’t far from their apartment, so they didn’t even drive for a minute before they immediately saw Jack’s and Mika’s cars already occupied while the others were waiting for them.

“You guys are finally here. Fortunately, no one’s late, so we’ll certainly arrive at our assigned school on time,” Glen, their team leader, said while getting into the seat.

“We can get there on time even if there’s traffic. By the way, what’s with those folders you’re carrying? Did our professors assign more tasks?” Eli asked, looking at the folders Glen was holding.

“Yes, some of these are for our assigned school and the others are for the rest of us. It’s all about the tasks that we have to complete and other forms that we have to let our supervisors sign afterward.”

“Why does our school even have a two-semester model for practice teaching? They should have just crammed it into our last semester so that we wouldn’t be too busy this semester,” one of their group members said.

This complaint had been mentioned by others many times, as they still had to handle their other classes while also going to their assigned school to observe, perform tasks, and then teach students afterward.

Eli also didn’t like the heavy workload, but since it couldn’t be changed no matter how much they complained, he would just have to go through with it.

“Yeah, I really didn’t know that our school implemented such a system. If I had known, I would have gone to another school,” another group member said.

“And it even starts very early. This is only the second week of our first semester, but we have to go out already,” another guy added.

“Unfortunately, we can’t change any of it, so let’s just go through it, as we’ll graduate in a year anyway,” Eli said.

“Yeah, it’s finally our last year, so let’s just do it,” the others chimed in.

Afterward, they began talking about other topics, such as their expectations for the school, the students, and the teachers, as well as the problems they would likely see, since they had also been high school students before.

“I hope that our cooperating teachers aren’t that strict and don’t have a lot of requirements. If they are, then we will probably have a lot of things to do,” one of them said.

“Yeah, I hope those teachers won’t have too many issues and requirements for us.”

All of them would certainly have different CTs in charge of them, so they were all hoping that those teachers were good and wouldn’t let them do too much.

Eli was also just like them, as he didn’t want to have a cooperating teacher that’s hard to work with.

Another one added, “Indeed, I also want an understanding cooperating teacher. At least they should understand that we’re still busy with a lot of our classes. I also hope that, unlike us back then, the students we’ll be handling will be more cooperative.”

As soon as he finished speaking, all of them laughed as they knew that there would always be students who don’t really listen to their teachers, especially in high school.

And when they were students, they probably weren’t that obedient either.

Eli, for example, wasn’t a very good student, but of course, he wasn’t bad either, so he didn’t have a lot of issues with his teachers back in high school.

He just hopes that those students that he would meet wouldn’t be too disobedient so that the classroom wouldn’t be chaotic.

Well, they would just mainly be observing and assisting and wouldn’t teach yet, so he doesn’t have to worry about those problems yet.

They continued chatting, then after 30 minutes of driving, they finally arrived at the school that they were assigned to.

As soon as they arrived, they didn’t get out of their cars immediately; instead, everyone started looking at their clothes to make sure that they were all presentable.

“I’m suddenly getting nervous. What about you?” Sean said while handing back the car key to him after they got out.

“What’s there to be nervous about? You’re just going to see other people just like us. Besides, we’re only going to observe those teachers, and we don’t have to do anything except just fill out the forms that we have. That’s all easy,” Eli said and then patted Sean’s shoulder to encourage him a bit.

Eli wasn’t one to be nervous even in front of a lot of people, so even when they had to meet their CTs and other teachers and students, he didn’t have much reaction and just relaxedly followed Glen and the others towards the high school department office.
