As soon as they arrived, they immediately greeted the person that they saw at the entrance, and Glen, as their team leader, immediately introduced themselves as the students who were assigned to the school that they were at, then showed their letters and forms to the teacher in charge.

After a few verifications, the teacher in charge welcomed them and began asking them some questions while saying that the school had already arranged their cooperating teachers and they’ll be in the office after a few minutes, so they could just wait inside.

The teacher also began explaining a bit more about their school as well as the general rules for the students and a few rules that they should follow while they were at their school.Full novel: We Tried Dodging Our Marriage, Now We’re Solving Irregularities (BL) — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

The teacher in charge also began talking more about the general situation of the students in their school, including their behaviors.

Since the school that they were in was considered to be one of the top high schools in their country, most of the students weren’t too rowdy and most of them were still focused on studying, so according to the teacher in charge, they won’t see too many problems with the students in their high school.

After they waited for a few minutes, the cooperating teachers who would be in charge of them began coming inside.

When Eli saw the last two teachers coming, he couldn’t help but be surprised.

He quickly composed himself and began greeting all of them together with his classmates.

Afterwards, the teacher in charge began introducing the teachers and the subjects that they were handling.

When the teacher in charge was introducing the last person, Eli didn’t even have to listen to it because he already knew who he was, as he had just been nagged by his mom about their marriage just before he could leave his apartment.

He knew from his mother that Ren had started teaching last year, but he hadn’t paid any attention to which school he was in as it didn’t concern him at all.

However, he didn’t expect that he would actually be assigned to the same school where Ren was teaching.

After the introduction, the teacher in charge told all of them that based on the subject that they majored in, the teachers of those subjects who were qualified to act as mentors had already chosen randomly, and those who had picked their names would be acting as their cooperating teachers or mentors.

They would mainly be observing and acting as assistants to those teachers, and then occasionally go to other teachers so that they could observe different teaching methods used by other teachers.

All their cooperating teachers were also busy, so they quickly started calling the names on the paper that they were holding and told them to follow them to their own offices or classrooms.

As soon as Eli heard the arrangement, he already had a bad feeling, and his feeling had indeed come true when all the others had already been called and only his name was left together with Ren, who was the only teacher left with a paper.

“Eli Gwin Arne, you’ll be working with me. For now, let’s go to the lab so that you can familiarize yourself with it, as we are going to use it later for class.”

“Yes, Mr. Randel,” Eli said just like the others and then followed Ren out of the office.

Eli obediently followed Ren without saying anything until they reached the office of Ren at the side of the laboratory.

As soon as the door was closed, Eli immediately shed his obedient demeanor and casually sat on the chair in front of Ren’s table, then asked, “Hey! Why are you even here?”

“I should be the one asking you that. What are you doing here? Or did you just not even pay attention to the school where I was teaching? I’m sure your parents had mentioned it,” Ren said while removing his blazer and hanging it on the side before also sitting on his chair.

But unlike Eli, who had a very casual posture, Ren was sitting in a standard, proper sitting posture.

“Huh? Why should I even waste my brain cells remembering something like that?”

Eli really hadn’t paid attention to the school where Ren was working, but he really should have paid attention to it before; if he had, then he could have talked to his professors so that he could be assigned to a different school.

“Eli, that’s just basic courtesy. I’m still your fiancé in name; can’t you even remember something simple such as my workplace? Now, you’re asking why I’m here when you’re clearly the one at fault. If you didn’t want to come to my workplace, you should have at least remembered where it is.”

“Uh-huh. But I’m not like you, who always wants to use your brain cells on everything,” Eli replied nonchalantly.

Ren clearly didn’t want to get married either, but he could still maintain such courtesy.

In fact, since they were children, Ren always knew how to do such things.

He could still do something he didn’t really enjoy because it was the proper way.

It was also the same with their engagement; even though he didn’t enjoy it, he could still care about such bothersome things.

He had been such a meddlesome kid when they were children, and until now that they were adults, Eli still thought that he was very meddlesome.

“As I just said, that’s just a very basic thing. Anyway, since you’re already here, you should do your best as my assistant, and I’ll also be checking on your observation notes if you’re really observing or just going through the motions.”

“What’s wrong with going through the motions? As long as I write something and it’s acceptable, then it’s all right. Why do I even need to show you even my observations?”

“I know you’ll do just that, so I’m making sure you’re writing something with substance instead of submitting an observation with just one or two sentences, with most of them just a repeat of other notes. With such observation notes, they will think I wasn’t doing anything at all, so you didn’t have anything to write.”
