Ren Second Uncle tightly clutched his chest. Blood kept gushing from his mouth, his eyes filled with disbelief as he stared at his niece.
He still couldn’t understand what had happened—how had this girl suddenly become so ruthless, to the point of killing her own uncle?
“Thud.”
He staggered and fell to the ground.
Enduring the stabbing pain in his chest, he weakly reached out, trying to grab the hem of Ren Jingshu’s dress.
“Take… take him… away…”
He knew that with this strike, he would not survive—but he still hoped his precious son could live.
When the child grew up, he would surely take revenge for him.
“Second Uncle,” Ren Jingshu said with a faint smile, “since you can’t bear to part with him, then let him stay here with you. Isn’t that better? You can keep each other company.”
She yanked her skirt free, grabbed Ren Second Uncle by the collar, and threw him onto Ren Yilin.
The chubby boy was smashed awake by the impact, immediately crying out in pain.
“Waaah… Father, it hurts…”
He didn’t even notice the blood gushing from his father’s chest and only kept crying in pain.
Second Uncle’s heart shattered upon hearing his son’s cries. He wanted to beg, to curse—but he had no strength left.
He could only struggle weakly like a fish out of water.
Ren Jingshu looked down at the father and son coldly, a sense of satisfaction rising within her.
She crouched beside them and whispered softly:
“Second Uncle, little brother… don’t worry. Walk slowly on the road to the underworld. Soon, I’ll send Second Aunt and your two sisters to accompany you.”
Ren Yilin trembled in fear and stopped crying, staring at her with terror.
Second Uncle’s expression changed drastically. He forced his eyes open and stared at her.
“You… you are not—”
He wanted to say she was not his niece. The original Ren girl had been gentle and quiet, never speaking with such malice, nor capable of such cruelty.
“I am,” Ren Jingshu said with a mocking smile.
“Just that I took a trip to hell… and conveniently reserved your entire family a place in the eighteenth layer.”
With that, she turned away.
Then she paused.
Her gaze fell on a dark corner.
Sighing lightly, she walked over.
“Get up. Come with us.”
She kicked the boy lightly.
The boy looked about twelve or thirteen, thin and frail, with dull and lifeless eyes.
His name was Ren Yimu, the illegitimate son of Second Uncle.
His mother had been a maid who was forcibly violated by Second Uncle while drunk, resulting in his birth.
After finally surviving childbirth, she died from severe bleeding without even seeing her child once.
Left motherless and unwanted, Ren Yimu was abused by Second Aunt and treated like a servant, barely kept alive.
But in the original host’s memories, on the night she and her sister were burned to death, it was this “stupid” cousin who tried desperately to stop Ren Yilin from setting the fire. He was beaten brutally for it.
Even so, he kept rushing into the flames again and again, trying to save them.
In the end, he failed to save anyone and died in the fire himself.
Now that she had taken over this body, Ren Jingshu would naturally kill her enemies—but also save those who deserved saving.
“I can’t go,” Ren Yilin suddenly shouted. “He stays to play with me!”
His face twisted, suddenly revealing a viciousness that didn’t belong to a child.
“He can’t leave! You either come with me… or stay and play with him.”
Ren Jingshu left the choice to Ren Yimu.
“Big sister… I’ll go with you.”
For a moment, Ren Yimu’s dull eyes stared at the father and son on the ground. Then he suddenly laughed—and cried at the same time.
Tears streamed down his face.
“Big sister… they killed my mother. They are not my family—they are my enemies.”
Ren Jingshu looked at him in slight surprise.
His eyes had turned completely red.
“You think I’m stupid? You never even bothered to hide your words in front of me. My mother didn’t die from childbirth—she was killed by you.”
He gritted his teeth, his gaze sharp with hatred.
“If I hadn’t pretended to be foolish all these years, I would have died countless times already.”
The childish foolishness faded from his eyes, replaced with calmness and restrained sorrow.
“Let’s go. From now on, you don’t need to care about them anymore. Live your own life.”
Ren Jingshu waved her hand.
Ren Yimu hesitated, then nodded and followed quietly.
“Big sister! Take me with you!”
Ren Yilin cried desperately as they left.
“Dream on. Stay here properly,” she snapped, closing the cell door.
“Miss, can we leave now? Everyone is ready,” Ren Yizhen said, now changed into worn clothes with soot smeared across his face.
“Hehe, we found some clothes inside and changed. Otherwise, wearing blood-stained prison uniforms would give us away instantly.”
Ren Jingshu nodded and led them out.
At the exit, Qisha and Tianji were already waiting anxiously.
Seeing the large group emerge, they were slightly startled.
“Take them out first,” Ren Jingshu said. “I’ll leave in a quarter of an hour. Don’t wait for me—I’ll catch up quickly.”
She turned to re-enter the prison without waiting for a reply.
“Sister, we’re going with you!” Ren Yizhen and Ren Yinuo immediately followed.
“No need,” she said without looking back.
“I have helpers.”
