After dinner, Chi Qiu gave Ji Qingyan a look. Taking the hint, Ji Qingyan stood up and followed him to the balcony.

Chi Qiu slid the glass door shut, turned around, and stood with his hands in his pockets, quietly gazing at the bustling nightscape below.

Ji Qingyan walked over to his side. The evening breeze carried a chill, dispersing the lingering effects of the alcohol in his mind. He leaned slightly forward, resting his hands on the railing.Full novel: Wife, Please Pay Attention to Me! — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“You called me out here just to have me watch the scenery with you?”

“Are you… interested in him?”

Chi Qiu had never been one to hide his thoughts. Ever since he noticed something off, he had wanted to ask.

“Who?”

“Who else? Of course, it’s that Lu Qi.” He glanced toward the person sitting in the living room.

Following his gaze, Ji Qingyan looked through the glass window and saw Lu Qi sitting on the sofa with his arms crossed.

Lu Xuecha was sitting beside him, talking to him, but Lu Qi showed no reaction the entire time. It was as if he had written “Don’t touch me” all over his face.

Ji Qingyan withdrew his gaze. “You noticed?”

“Since when did your taste change? I remember you used to like those cute, pretty boys.”

Ji Qingyan had never been in a relationship, nor did he have any messy people around him. Sometimes, when he came across a cute, pretty boy who caught his eye, the most outrageous thing he would do was take an extra glance—nothing more. They were good-looking, yes, but they never quite reached Ji Qingyan’s highest standard of beauty.

“Isn’t his face pretty? And he’s quite obedient in private.”

Ji Qingyan thought to himself: If he wants to kiss, Lu Qi lets him kiss; if he wants to touch, Lu Qi obediently lets him touch, never resisting at all. Isn’t that obedient?

He was four years younger than him—wasn’t that exactly a “boy”?

He was practically tailor-made to Ji Qingyan’s preferences.

As for Lu Qi’s appearance, Chi Qiu couldn’t argue at all. Obedient? Are you saying a tall, 1.9-meter man is obedient?

As far as he knew, Ji Qingyan was the top, and Lu Qi didn’t seem like the type to be dominated. He rephrased his question more subtly: “He’s so tall. Can you handle him?”

Ji Qingyan replied nonchalantly, “Once the door is closed, it’s up to me.”

Thinking of that innocent man, wasn’t it just a matter of crooking a finger to get him under control? Ji Qingyan really wanted to see him cry—it would surely be beautiful.

Chi Qiu looked at him with a complicated expression, opening his mouth but not knowing what to say.

In the end, he could only pat Ji Qingyan’s shoulder helplessly and say, “You should still be careful.”

Don’t let things go wrong.

They returned to the living room from the balcony. It was getting late, and everyone had had a bit to drink, so no one could drive. Yan Yuchen’s driver was still downstairs, so Chi Qiu and Ming Xiangwan took his car home.

Lu Xuecha didn’t leave with them but stayed overnight instead. Since he didn’t have a change of clothes, Ji Qingyan found him a new set of pajamas.

Lu Xuecha stood obediently in the living room, holding the pajamas, and looked at the drunk man lying on the sofa. “Brother Qingyan, what about him?”

Tonight, Ji Qingyan had held his hand and peeled shrimp for him, putting Lu Qi in such a cheerful mood that he couldn’t resist drinking several glasses of red wine.

His alcohol tolerance was terrible—just two glasses could knock him out. Now, with the alcohol taking effect, he lay unconscious on the sofa.

“Lu Qi is sleeping in my room. He’s drunk, and I’m worried about leaving him alone.”

Ji Qingyan walked over, bent down, scooped up his legs, and lifted him horizontally. Ji Qingyan often exercised, but carrying Lu Qi still felt somewhat strenuous.

The person in his arms rested his head on Ji Qingyan’s shoulder, his eyes closed, looking very docile. Ji Qingyan carried him toward the bedroom.

Lu Qi lay unconsciously on the bed, his face turned aside, his hair covering his eyes, resembling a big dog that could be manipulated at will.

Ji Qingyan stood by the bed, quietly watching him. His gaze swept over his eyebrows, nose, and mouth—everything was so perfect.

He climbed onto the bed, kneeling with one knee between Lu Qi’s legs, his hands resting beside Lu Qi’s head. Ji Qingyan lifted his hand to push Lu Qi’s hair back, revealing his eyebrows and eyes, staring unabashedly at his face.

“So easily drunk. If someone else picked you up, you’d surely be mistreated.”

Ji Qingyan gently stroked his cheek, his fingertips lightly touching Lu Qi’s lips—soft and warm.

In the quiet room, under the ambiguous lighting, the atmosphere was just right.

Seizing the opportunity of drunkenness, Ji Qingyan removed his glasses and placed them aside, then leaned down to kiss him slowly a few times.

He was drunk and unaware of anything; taking some advantage shouldn’t be too excessive, just consider it as collecting rent.

Ji Qingyan pushed Lu Qi’s clothes up to his collarbone, revealing a sturdy chest. He knew Lu Qi had a good physique, but he hadn’t expected it to be this impressive—well-developed pectoral muscles, neatly defined abdominal muscles, perfect lines disappearing into his waistband, absolutely beautiful.

Lu Qi hazily opened his eyes, noticing a dark figure before him…

“Awake?”

Lu Qi regained a bit of consciousness, struggling to identify the person before him. The blurred face gradually became clear—the person he had seen countless times in dreams. But the sensation on his chest told him this wasn’t a dream.

Ji Qingyan’s hands rested on either side of his head, his eyes like soft hooks captivating Lu Qi’s soul, gazing dreamily at his face.

Lu Qi hugged Ji Qingyan’s shoulders, nuzzling his face against Ji Qingyan’s cheek, calling out incoherently: “Wife, wife…”

Like a clingy big dog.

The other person carried the scent of alcohol; Ji Qingyan slightly turned his face aside.

Feeling his evasion, Lu Qi frowned discontentedly, firmly holding Ji Qingyan’s face, denying him any chance to escape, kissing his cheek.

“Wife, kiss…”

After drinking, Lu Qi became exceptionally clingy and troublesome, grabbing people to hug and kiss.

Ji Qingyan grasped his arms but didn’t evade his kiss. “I’m not your wife…”

Lu Qi couldn’t hear his words at all, seeking his lips and kissing them, murmuring: “My wife.”

If he couldn’t escape, then join in. Ji Qingyan hugged his neck and kissed him, tasting the alcohol on his lips, tugging his hair. “Lu Qi, are you a puppy?”

“Woof woof…”

“You’re really drunk.”

Lu Qi held his face, kissing his lips repeatedly, giggling foolishly a few times. “Hehe, wife…”

“Wife.”

Ji Qingyan ruffled his hair messily. So foolish, like the silly son of a landlord’s family.
