“They were sour.” Bai Yun looked faintly disgusted.
Lu Jiu burst out laughing, so he hates sour things? That’s a clear weakness.
“So… are they sweet?” Bai Yun asked again, curious.
Lu Jiu’s eyes glimmered mischievously. He popped one grape into his mouth, chewed, and grinned. “Try for yourself.”
Bai Yun’s smile vanished, his gaze darkened, fixing on Lu Jiu’s lips glistening with juice.
Ye Lin rushed anxiously in the direction Lu Quning had pointed, unaware that a whole group of people was trailing behind him.
He thought he saw two figures standing in the shadows beneath the trees, and quickened his pace.
Just as he stepped over a patch of shrubs, a loud “Ow, fuck!” rang out beneath his foot. Startled by the soft, squishy feel, he looked down,
And there was Ding Jiaye, crouched sneakily on the ground, clutching his waist in pain, his face pale and contorted.
What the hell was he doing here?!
Then, those two figures ahead…
Ye Lin lifted his head, stunned. At that exact moment, the group behind him caught up. They all looked forward and instead of the juicy gossip they’d expected, what they saw froze their souls.
They collectively gasped, hands over their mouths.
Lu Jiu was pinned against a tree, Bai Yun kissing him.
Bai Yun’s hand gripped his jaw, tilting his head back. Maybe Lu Jiu heard the noise, because his eyes flicked open, meeting theirs.
Ye Lin dropped into a crouch immediately.
His heart raced, disbelief flooding through him. His brain went blank, his fingers trembling. He had no idea how pale his face had gone.
How.. how could this be…
Lu Jiu had only looked for a second before Bai Yun squeezed his chin again, turning his face back.
He knew there were people watching but he didn’t care.
