It was a pink bear-shaped water bottle, its lid still open.

So Senior Sister Su had forgotten to take her water bottle with her.

Jiang Jun walked over, picked up the bottle, and examined it for a few moments. He chuckled softly to himself and murmured, “Who would’ve thought that such an aloof and beautiful senior sister would use such an adorable water bottle.”Full novel: You Were Sent for Tutoring, But Ended Up with the School Beauty Instead? — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Then, Jiang Jun tucked the bottle into his backpack and turned to walk out of the study room.

After leaving the study room, he headed up to the dormitory building.

Dormitory 406.

Seeing Jiang Jun suddenly return.

A male student, about 1.78 meters tall, lean and tall, wearing glasses, and somewhat handsome, immediately stood up with a look of surprise on his face.

“What the hell?!”

“Old Jiang, you’re finally back! Why didn’t you give us a heads-up beforehand? How are your injuries?”

The speaker was Guo Kaihua, one of Jiang Jun’s roommates and also the class monitor. In the dorm, everyone called him “Huazai.”

Jiang Jun smiled, patted his own shoulders twice, and nodded. “If anything were still wrong with me, I wouldn’t have been able to make it back to school.”

“Good to hear you’re fine, man. You were hospitalized for a whole month right after the semester started—we were all worried sick about you.”

Jiang Jun’s lips curled slightly as he smiled. “Yeah, it really feels great to be back at school. I feel like I’ve been reborn.”

This kid had always had a habit of telling the truth.

Jiang Jun set his backpack down on the desk beneath his bunk. Although he hadn’t been at school or in the dorm for the past month, his roommates had been keeping his bunk tidy for him.

The clean and neat bunk warmed Jiang Jun’s heart. If no one had taken care of it for a month, his bunk would probably be filthier than a dog’s den.

He glanced around the dorm and pointed at the two empty bunks, asking Guo Kaihua with confusion, “By the way, Huazai, where are those two?”

One bunk was particularly eye-catching—a calligraphy scroll hung above it, bearing the four characters “Master Jiaqian” (The Layman Who Pays Extra).

That was Li Jiaqian’s bunk, nicknamed “Brother Jiaqian.” He was 1.82 meters tall, well-built, with a crew cut. His standout trait was his beautiful handwriting—he’d actually won calligraphy awards.

The other person was Shuaige, 1.70 meters tall, short and skinny, with slightly dark skin. The roommates simply called him “Xiaoqu” since “song” and “tune” were basically the same thing anyway.

Guo Kaihua flashed a mischievous grin and pointed toward the balcony bathroom, explaining, “Brother Jiaqian hasn’t come back yet—said he went to practice calligraphy. Xiaoqu is in there right now ‘having a snack.'”

(Shuaige: ?)

“Huazai, say that one more f*cking time and I’ll give you something fresh to eat right now!”

An irate voice came from the bathroom, and then Shuaige charged out with wet hair. He hadn’t been using the toilet—he’d been washing his hair.

The moment Shuaige rushed out and saw the person standing next to Guo Kaihua—none other than Jiang Jun, back at school—he froze in place.

“Holy crap, it’s Old Jiang who’s back!” Shuaige excitedly rushed over and gave Jiang Jun a solid bear hug.

What Guo Kaihua had said moments ago was completely forgotten.

Jiang Jun patted Shuaige on the back and said with a wry smile, “School is so great—I should’ve come back a long time ago.”

“Right, right, right!”

Shuaige looked thrilled, nodding with a smile. “Anyway, the important thing is you’re back. We’ve gotta have a drink tonight—and bring Old Lang along.”

At that, Guo Kaihua’s expression stiffened slightly.

He turned to look at Jiang Jun, pointed at the latter’s bunk, and said in a low voice, “Old Jiang, Xiaoqu’s right. When we drink tonight, you should have a few extra rounds with Old Lang—he’s the one who helped tidy up your bunk.”

“Man, I gotta say, Old Lang really is your ride-or-die.”

Old Lang—that was Jiang Jun’s close brother, Shen Lang.

Both he and Jiang Jun were from Jingzhou, and both their families were in business. They’d known each other since middle school and had attended the same schools all these years.

Even in university, they’d both chosen Hong Kong University together. Initially, Shen Lang’s major was in business management at another campus.

But after learning that Jiang Jun had been in a car accident, he rushed back to Jingzhou to visit him immediately. And after returning to school, he applied to transfer majors to the computer science department with Jiang Jun.

Room 407 next door was Shen Lang’s dorm.

“No problem. I’ll treat tonight. This past period…”

Before Jiang Jun could finish his sentence, his phone suddenly rang from his pocket. He took it out and saw the caller ID on the screen—particularly eye-catching:

Old Lang

“Speak of the devil, and he shall appear.” Jiang Jun glanced at them, then answered the call.

“Hey, Old Lang…”

“Jiang Jun, you son of a b*tch! If your sister hadn’t told me you were back at school, I wouldn’t have known a thing!”

Shen Lang’s furious voice came through the phone, then he abruptly changed the subject and asked, “Tell me quickly—where’s your sister?”

Jiang Jun: …

Jiang Jun was left utterly speechless by that.

Because Jiang Qinglan had been the famous campus belle of HKU, and given their years of familiarity, Shen Lang always teased Jiang Jun, calling himself his “brother-in-law.”

“Get lost, my sister’s already gone home.” Jiang Jun said with a helpless expression.

The moment he finished speaking.

A familiar figure appeared at the entrance of Dormitory 406.

Shen Lang, panting heavily with both hands braced on either side of the doorframe, drenched in sweat, stared at Jiang Jun with fierce eyes and said in a low voice, “You. Come out here and take your beating!”

Hearing this, Jiang Jun smiled wryly and put down his phone, then headed downstairs with Shen Lang.

Knowing his good brother was back, Shen Lang was thrilled, his whole being radiating joy.

As they descended the stairs, Shen Lang slung his arm around Jiang Jun’s shoulder and said with a teasing grin.

“Hey, on my way back to the dorm just now, I heard several classmates saying that some clueless kid actually stuck to Senior Sister Su, the campus belle, and followed her into the study room. That kid’s got some nerve, huh? Not afraid of getting his ass kicked?”

Hearing this, Jiang Jun’s expression froze for a moment.

Wait!

Senior Sister Su, the campus belle.

Study room.

Isn’t that talking about me?

So my tutor turns out to be the campus belle—no wonder she’s so pretty!

“Why are you looking at me like that?”

Seeing Jiang Jun suddenly stop in his tracks and stare at him with a deadpan expression, Shen Lang raised his hand, intending to feel his forehead: “Jun, are you sure your head’s fully healed? You’re not running a fever again, are you?”

Jiang Jun swatted his hand away and spoke flatly.

“The guy you’re talking about isn’t some clueless kid—it’s me. And she even added me as a friend on her own.”

“Pfft!”

Shen Lang waved his hand and scoffed mockingly: “Bro, you can fool other people, but don’t fool yourself.”

“I’m really not lying to you…”

Just as Jiang Jun finished speaking.

With a “ding,” the phone in Jiang Jun’s hand suddenly lit up, showing a friend request notification.

Jiang Jun instinctively unlocked and opened his phone.

[I’m Su Yanfei, requesting to add you as a friend]
