“My turn, draw.”

Faced with such a field, Kazumo fell into deep thought.

On the front row, there was Juraishin’s field wipe, Psychic Blaster Mk-II’s banish effect, Serene Psychic Sorceress’s bounce effect when it left the field, and the Scale effect that would turn any monster with 2500 or more Attack face-down when it activated its effect.Full novel: Yu-Gi-Oh!: Who Taught You Guys Link Summoning?! — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

On the back row, there was Teleport Fusion, which could summon a new monster, along with an unknown Set card.

And he still had two cards left in his hand.

In the worst-case scenario, he would have to break through at least six disruptions.

Coincidentally, he also only had six cards in hand.

It truly matched that old saying: “Yu-Gi-Oh!

is a game only one person gets to play.”

The Psychic Deck’s end board looked layered on the surface, but in reality it had no clear negation effects, relying mainly on destruction and removal.

After settling on his plan, Kazumo played a card from his hand.

“I activate the Spell Card Graceful Charity.

Draw three cards, then discard two cards.”

After sending two cards from his hand to the Graveyard, Kazumo revealed another card in his hand.

“Next, I activate the effect of The Bystial Lubellion in my hand.

I send this card to the Graveyard, then add Bystial Druiswurm from my Deck to my hand.”

Kazumo pulled out the revealed Druiswurm and immediately displayed it.

“Druiswurm’s effect!

By banishing the DARK monster Light Bringer Lucifer from my Graveyard, I Special Summon this card!”

[Bystial Druiswurm] Level 6│DARK│Dragon│2500 ATK

The sound of chains snapping echoed through the void as a blue dragon wrapped in chains descended onto the field, releasing a piercing roar toward Sayer.

At the same time, Juraishin, the Cursed Thunder God continuously drew strands of bright yellow energy from the cards Kazumo activated, casually scattering them onto Sayer beside it.

That was Juraishin, the Cursed Thunder God’s effect: whenever the opponent activated an effect, its controller recovered 300 LP.

[Sayer, LP: 3200 → 3500 → 3800]

“Heh, not a bad monster.

But what use does it have?”

With his arms crossed, Sayer watched Druiswurm with great interest, as though admiring a trophy that was about to be added to his collection.

“You’ll find out soon enough.

The Lubellion in my Graveyard can Tribute the Druiswurm on the field to Special Summon itself from the Graveyard!”

A card shot out from the Graveyard, while Druiswurm on the field lifted its head and let out a low roar.

As though celebrating, it transformed into light and shot into the sky, forming a deep rift.

A platinum dragon claw stretched out from within the rift, violently tearing it open before landing onto the field.

[The Bystial Lubellion] Level 8│LIGHT│Dragon│2500 ATK

“At this moment, I activate Druiswurm’s effect when it was sent to the Graveyard.

When this card is sent to the Graveyard, I can also send one Special Summoned monster on your field to the Graveyard.”

Kazumo raised his hand and pointed at Psychic Blaster Mk-II.

“Come down to hell with me!”

The moment those words fell, countless chains shot out from the Graveyard slot of Kazumo’s Duel Disk, tightly binding Psychic Blaster Mk-II.

Amid its unwilling roar, it was dragged bit by bit into the abyss.

“I’ll also activate Psychic Blaster Mk-II’s effect!

Before it leaves, make your final contribution to me!

I banish Silent Psychic Magician from my Graveyard to banish your Lubellion from the field!”

Silent Psychic Magician in the Graveyard transformed into fluorescent green psychic energy and loaded itself into Psychic Blaster Mk-II’s rifle.

At the final moment before being dragged into hell, Psychic Blaster Mk-II pulled the trigger.

The energy blast shot forth.

Lubellion did not even have time to cry out before melting away in the intense light, while the energy left behind by its disintegrating body was poured into Sayer.

[Sayer, LP: 3800 → 4100 → 6600]

Watching his monster get removed, even though he had minimized his losses in time, there was still nothing he could do to stop the opponent’s effect from activating.

Whether it was destruction or banishment, neither could prevent the opponent’s effects from activating.

What annoyed him even more was that all of these effects activated in the Graveyard.

The negation Trap Card he had Set, [Joruri-P.U.N.K.

Dangerous Gabu], was utterly unable to stop them.

“Don’t worry, I’ve still got something good for you to enjoy!”

Kazumo’s teasing voice pulled him back from his irritation.

“I activate the Spell Card Triple Tactics Talent!

I can choose one of three effects to activate, and I choose to gain control of one monster on your field until the end of the turn!”

Kazumo gripped the Gunkan fan in his hand and swung it downward, issuing his command.

Juraishin, the Cursed Thunder God on the field trembled before immediately straightening its body to receive the order, striding over to Kazumo’s field.

[Sayer, LP: 6600 → 6900]

There was truly something wonderful about stealing another man’s monster, especially when he could see the dark expression now covering Sayer’s face.

“Next, I Normal Summon Primite Dragon Ether Beryl and activate its on-summon effect to Set a [Primite] Spell or Trap directly from my Deck.”

Although Sayer did not know the effects of the “Primite” cards, after suffering once already, he could no longer allow the opponent to continue extending freely.

“I open my Set card, the Trap Card Joruri-P.U.N.K.

Dangerous Gabu!

Negate your Primite Dragon’s effect!

At the same time, I recover LP equal to Primite Dragon’s Attack!”

The neon-formed mechanical puppet Kuchisake-onna pounced onto Primite Dragon and viciously bit into it.

This time, it was Primite Dragon’s turn to get violently pinned down.

Primite Dragon was quickly devoured cleanly by Kuchisake-onna, leaving behind only a gray-white body devoid of vitality collapsed on the ground.

Now it really was a case of overworking until its body had been hollowed out, and the hollowed-out portion was even poured into Sayer.

[Sayer, LP: 6900 → 8500]

Kazumo showed no reaction despite being interrupted and calmly continued his plays.

“I use Primite Dragon and Juraishin, the Cursed Thunder God on the field as Link Materials!

The summoning condition is two Effect Monsters!”

Link Summon!

[Moon of the Closed Heaven] Link-2│LIGHT│Fiend│1200 ATK

A Data Storm surged as a gothic lolita girl in black robes was constructed, silently standing upon the field.

As the newest and most expensive Summoning method in Tops, every Link Monster card printed was accounted for.

That was why when Kazumo had summoned the Fiendsmith Link Monster that did not exist in the world during his Duel against Tetsu Trudge, it had drawn the attention of these important figures.

What Sayer had not expected was that Kazumo had brought out yet another brand-new Link Monster today.

“The power of the Dark Signers is truly wonderful!” Sayer exclaimed greedily.

Naturally, Kazumo had no idea that the other party had attributed all the cards he brought from another world to the power of the Earthbound Immortals.

He only felt that Sayer was starting to act insane again and paid him little attention.

“I use Moon of the Closed Heaven as Link Material!

The summoning condition is one LIGHT Fiend monster!

Come forth!

Requiem!”

The girl who had just appeared was clearly unhappy that she was merely transitional material, puffing up her cheeks, but she still obediently transformed into streams of red marked light.

[Fiendsmith’s Requiem] Link-1│LIGHT│Fiend│600 ATK

“I Tribute Fiendsmith’s Requiem and activate its effect to Special Summon Lacrima the Crimson Tears from my Deck!”

Fiendsmith’s Requiem burst open as a graceful blonde succubus stepped out from the coffin and arrived onto the field.

[Lacrima the Crimson Tears] Level 4│LIGHT│Fiend│1200 DEF

“I activate Lacrima’s on-summon effect to send Fiendsmith Engraver from my Deck to the Graveyard.”

At that moment, Sayer’s voice rang out.

“At this moment, I activate Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit from my hand to destroy your Lacrima!”

A white-haired girl in a kimono leapt up from Sayer’s Duel Disk, clearly displeased by the revealing outfit and alluring figure the opponent had displayed.

Filled with anger, she swung the chain sickle in her hand, binding Lacrima before cutting her into pieces.

“Just as expected, a hand trap.” As expected, Sayer really did have Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit in his hand.

Although Lacrima the Crimson Tears was destroyed, its effect was not negated, and Fiendsmith Engraver was still sent to the Graveyard.

“In that case, I activate Engraver’s effect in my Graveyard!

I return Moon of the Closed Heaven to the Deck and Special Summon him!”

The coffin jumped out from the Graveyard, and this time the one rising from within it was a robust man.

[Fiendsmith Engraver] Level 6│LIGHT│Fiend│1800 ATK

“I activate Fiendsmith’s Requiem’s effect in the Graveyard to equip itself to a monster on the field as an Equip Card.”

Kazumo raised his hand once more, pointing toward Noh-P.U.N.K.

Rising Scale on the field.

“I activate Fiendsmith Engraver’s effect!

Send your Rising Scale and this Equip Card to the Graveyard together!”

“Gabu!”

Fiendsmith’s Requiem was thrown out by Fiendsmith Engraver.

The coffin opened its giant mouth and swallowed the beautiful girl Rising Scale whole into its stomach.

Satisfied, Fiendsmith’s Requiem let out a full belch before hopping happily back into the Graveyard.

“Tch!

Nothing but petty tricks!” Sayer said disdainfully, though his complexion clearly looked unpleasant.

Now, only Serene Psychic Sorceress and Teleport Fusion remained on his field, while Kazumo still had three cards left in his hand.
