Revival light descended as Clavkiys gripped the Magikey gun and nimbly leapt out from the Graveyard.
Then Kazumo waved his hand and shouted, “Don’t blink!
I tune the Level 4 DARK Clavkiys with the Level 6 LIGHT Fiendsmith Engraver!”
“Impossible?!
How can you do that without a Tuner?!” Sayer cried out in shock.
Under his stunned gaze, the two monsters of light and darkness truly transformed into Synchro rings and stars as the light of Synchro Summoning burst forth!
“Descend here from beyond the chaotic shores where light and darkness intertwine!
Come forth!
Chaos Angel!”

In an instant, violent currents swept through the hall.
One power represented light while the other represented darkness, and the two forces continuously intertwined and collided, forming boundless chaos.
Then a pair of giant hands suddenly stretched out from within the chaotic convergence, forcibly grasping both incompatible powers at once.
One pure white angel wing spread open while one pitch-black demon wing beat through the air.
That divine-demonic figure descended from within the chaos.
Before the shock on Sayer’s face could fade, Kazumo’s voice rang out at the perfect moment.
“I activate Chaos Angel’s on-summon effect!
Banish your Serene Psychic Sorceress!”
The powers of light and darkness intertwined once more within Chaos Angel’s hand.
With a casual push of his arm, the sphere of destructive energy drifted lightly before Serene Psychic Sorceress.
Before it could even touch her, the terrifying dual gravities within the sphere tore Serene Psychic Sorceress apart from the middle, instantly reducing her into floating motes of light.
“Hahahaha!
Truly powerful!
But this is what real ultimate power looks like!”
Amid Sayer’s excited and crazed laughter, the Set card in his back row was flipped open.
“I activate the Quick-Play Spell Card Teleport Fusion!
I banish Serene Psychic Sorceress and JAM Dragon Drive from the Graveyard to Fusion Summon!”
“Come forth!
Absolute Axon Kicker!”

This was Sayer’s ace monster, the ultimate evolved form of his psychic demon and the proudest card in his arsenal.
Its entire body was constructed from high-density fluorescent green psychic energy, the perfect form of psychic power at its peak.
The moment its gigantic body appeared, it nearly filled the entire lofty reception hall.
“Absolute Axon Kicker’s effect activates!
I pay 2000 LP to banish every card on your field!
Destroy that monster daring enough to profane the gods!”

Countless violent psychic ripples mixed with bright yellow currents were stirred by the demon’s claws before finally gathering in front of it.
Compress, collapse, and converge again!
In an instant, the mass of energy blasted forth, illuminating the entire hall like daylight.
The energy swept across the room as smoke and dust exploded everywhere and shattered stone flew through the air.
“I’m returning those exact words to you right now.
This is what true ultimate power looks like,” Kazumo’s mocking voice echoed out from within the smoke.
“What?!”
As the dust dispersed, Chaos Angel still stood firmly upon the field.
Its wings slowly beat through the air as though the tremendous attack just now had merely been a passing breeze, having no effect on it whatsoever.
Kazumo brushed the dust from his body and calmly commented, “Average.”
Sayer instead fell silent, seemingly struck by the blow, unable to say another word.
Kazumo could not care less about him.
That said, Kazumo no longer had many playable starters left in his hand.
“Battle!
Chaos Angel, attack!”
Chaos Angel flew forward.
Facing that enormous body, it simply threw a punch infused with the power of chaos.
A terrifying black hole appeared at the point of impact.
Its immense gravitational pull churned like a grinding mill, shredding the psychic demon into dust scattered across the sky.

“I Set one card and end my turn.”
Kazumo Set a card and ended his turn.
Sayer did not immediately draw.
“Dark Signer Kazumo, the fact that you managed to push me this far means I acknowledge your skill.”
Greedy malice shone within Sayer’s eyes.
“So I’ve changed my mind.
I’m going to erase your existence and claim that power for myself!”
As though responding to his declaration, the world outside the windows changed color.
Thunder roared while the earth itself trembled.
Faced with such a drastic change, Sayer instead revealed a shocked expression, while Kazumo’s heart skipped a beat.
He inwardly cursed, “Sayer, you really are this unlucky, huh?”
The ground split apart as purple flames erupted from beneath the earth.
The bustling crowds and vehicles on the streets were instantly swallowed by the sea of fire.
A gigantic lizard geoglyph ignited across the land of Tops.
The two Duelists in the middle of the Duel could clearly see the towering purple flames rising into the sky through the glass curtain walls.
At the same time, a high-pitched dragon roar echoed down from upstairs.
“Oh ho, Sayer really is that unlucky.
The one seeking revenge has arrived.”
Kazumo judged that it was most likely Misty.
As for the two fighting upstairs, it went without saying that it had to be Akiza Izinski and Misty.
“Looks like you’re really not very popular, Sayer.”
Faced with Kazumo’s ridicule, Sayer’s expression darkened even further.
He had not expected that two Dark Signers would come looking for him on the same night.
Was Goodwin really that eager to get rid of him?!
“In that case, I’ll just have to hurry up and defeat you!
There’s still another battle waiting for me!
Draw!”
Roaring angrily, Sayer began his turn.
“I activate the effect of Psychic Processor in the Banished Zone.
During the Standby Phase, this card can return to my hand.”
“I activate Prototype Psychic Blaster’s effect in my hand.
I discard this card to Special Summon Psi-Beast from my hand!”

I pay 1000 LP and banish Mind Procedure from my Graveyard to Special Summon it!”
Two cards popped out from the Graveyard, but Sayer pulled both of them out at the same time and slammed them onto the field.
“At the same time, I pay another 1000 LP to also Special Summon the banished Mind Procedure onto the field!”

Sayer raised one hand high, a card held between his fingers.

Demonic wings spread wide as the psychic-constructed body became covered in savage white skeletal armor.
The demonic figure radiated an overwhelmingly oppressive aura.
“I Normal Summon Psychic Processor from my hand!
I pay 1000 LP and use it as ammunition!
Psychic End Punisher, banish that Set card for me!”

Psychic End Punisher raised the giant cannon on its left arm and aimed at Kazumo’s back row, loading Psychic Processor as explosive ammunition.
Boom!
A fluorescent green energy shell blasted forth, erasing Kazumo’s Set card as though wiped away by an eraser.
“Even if it’s unaffected by effects, before absolute power, it’s still nothing but clouds drifting in the wind!
Psychic End Punisher, attack!”
[Psychic End Punisher, ATK: 3500 → 8100]
(Its Attack increases due to the LP difference.)
At Sayer’s command, Psychic End Punisher’s gigantic body moved, concentrating all of its power into the cannon muzzle.
Green arcs of electricity crackled as a massive energy beam erupted from the cannon and struck Chaos Angel directly.
Chaos Angel crossed its arms before itself, forming a protective barrier, but it still could not block the tremendous attack.
The leaking currents and energy all struck Kazumo instead.

“Why?!
Why won’t it be destroyed?!” Sayer’s shocked roar echoed throughout the hall.
As the smoke dispersed, Chaos Angel on Kazumo’s field still stood there unharmed.
However, Kazumo himself was nowhere near as intact as Chaos Angel.
Large portions of his clothes had been burned through by the electric arcs, his body covered in extensive burns, while even his hair had been singed black and curled.
“Tsk…
that really hurts!
You Psychic Duelists aren’t bad, but you’re still lacking a little.”
Kazumo bared his teeth.
Compared to the soul damage from last time, this kind of pure physical attack actually looked rather gentle by comparison.
Although Sayer was shocked, he remained extremely confident in Psychic End Punisher.
Psychic End Punisher’s immense Attack and immunity to the opponent’s effects could practically be called invincible.
“My turn ends.
No matter how stubbornly you talk, this is still your last turn.
Next, you’ll be crushed beneath my invincibility!”
“Draw!”
After drawing his card, Kazumo did not rush to make a move.
Instead, he smiled and looked toward Sayer.
“Hey, Sayer.
Since you have information on me, you should know the effects of some of my cards, right?”
Hearing this, Sayer frowned, unable to understand why Kazumo was still wasting words when death was already upon him.
Still, he answered, “So what if I do?”
Kazumo’s smile widened even more as he revealed the card he had kept in his hand since last turn.
“If you do, you definitely know this card’s effect, right?!”
The card Kazumo revealed was none other than… Piercing the Darkness!
Sayer’s expression instantly became wonderfully colorful, changing again and again like a spinning lantern before finally settling into a look Kazumo found very familiar.
It was the same ugly expression worn by the Psychic Duelist Crow had defeated in the cave.
“Your invincibility is nothing special after all!”

The black-and-white streams of chaotic light swept forth, completely ignoring Sayer’s desperate howl as they instantly swallowed his figure whole.
