Wu Chang toyed with the Eye of Leman. Once removed from the Altar, the Eye of Leman took on a gem-like texture, resembling a masterfully carved piece of jewelry, yet its touch remained soft, like flesh and blood.

When its eyes were closed, the Eye of Leman no longer emitted malice or ill intent; instead, a hint of peace and Compassion could be discerned within it.

「Item Type: Dungeon Item」

「Item Level: Unknown」

「Item Skill: Unknown」

「Remark: The Left Eye of the Evil God Leman, containing the immense Divine Power and endless Curse of the Evil God Leman.」

Although the Eye of Leman was sealed, making its Level and Attribute displayable, it was, after all, the eye of an Evil God; it should at least be an A-Level Item.

Wu Chang tossed the eyeball in his hand a couple of times before throwing it into his backpack space.

Having uncovered the secret of the Moonlight Sanatorium and obtained the Cursed Gold, the next step was to clear the Instance.

Before leaving, he casually grabbed a book from the Underground Library just for show, reading it as he walked back to the Sanatorium.

Most of the content in the book introduced several famous Taboo Sects, the characteristics of Evil Gods, and how to respond and fight when encountering one—it was practically a Newcomer's Manual for the Arcane Knights.

One page was marked as important and received extra emphasis.

When encountering events related to an Evil God, one must not trust, not think, not listen, not look, and not allow it to become reality.

Wu Chang closed the book, wrinkling his nose. The existence of Evil Gods seemed more troublesome than he had imagined.

Returning to the Sanatorium building, he headed straight underground and opened the white Gate to the Pharmacy.

Upon opening the door, he greeted Wolf, who was pacing back and forth inside:

“Yo, Sir Wolf, just finished dinner, taking a stroll?”

Meeting again, Wolf lacked the composure he had initially shown. He was currently anxious, his brow furrowed, his Gaze occasionally darting toward the Ceiling, his facial muscles twitching slightly, his expression somewhat ferocious.

It seemed this fellow was about to lose his composure.

Wolf darted in front of Wu Chang and asked, “You’ve arrived at a good time. What happened upstairs?”

“Upstairs?”

Wu Chang looked confused and said innocently, “I was just in the Dean's Office and didn't know what happened. Maybe an earthquake?”

Wolf had only asked casually and hadn't expected to learn anything from Wu Chang anyway. Hearing Wu Chang’s reply, his attention was instantly diverted.

“The Dean's Office? You saw Randy?”

Wu Chang took out a silver crossbow bolt from behind him and said, “I have met Dean Randy and initially gained his trust. Dean Randy’s beliefs are deeply ingrained; I cannot convince him that an Evil God truly exists anytime soon.”

“If there is more direct Evidence, Randy will believe?” Wolf’s tone became strange.

“I guess so.”

As soon as Wu Chang finished speaking, he felt a dark shadow flash before his eyes. Wolf’s hand grabbed his Shoulder, lifting him off the Ground.

An overwhelming, immense Strength came from his Shoulder, preventing him from even a Struggle.

Wolf narrowed his eyes and said slowly, “Since you are so trusted by Randy, this matter will also be entrusted to you.”

Seeing that Wolf was about to act, Wu Chang shouted the Last words contained within the Grudge behind Wolf.

“Wait, Priest Sir, don't act! We are allies!”

“Hmm?”

Taking advantage of Wolf pausing his movement, Wu Chang spoke at the fastest pace of his life, rapidly reciting the identity he had prepared, as if speaking a tongue twister.

“The glory of the Lord covers not just one Area, nor even just one Plane. I actually came from another world, and I am also a Believer of the Lord.”

“We received the Divine Decree and arrived in this world specifically to reclaim the Lord’s Strength. I have a companion who entered the Sanatorium before me, but I lost contact with him. If you can find him, he can prove our identity.”

Hearing about the companion from Wu Chang’s mouth, a hint of awkwardness flashed across Wolf’s face, and the killing intent in his eyes slightly eased, but his tone remained unfriendly.

“I need the help of you Trash?”

Wu Chang continued, “Our Church’s Prophet predicted the location of the Lord’s sealed Strength—where the Cursed Gold is—through the Sacrifice of life. When the Lord is resurrected, I am willing to Share the Secret with Priest Sir and split the Lord’s blessings equally.”

Wolf grumbled, “Split equally?”

“Four-six, no, three-seven. I only need thirty percent, and Priest Sir gets to choose first.”

Wolf released his hand, threw Wu Chang onto the Ground, and said without room for argument, “Two-eight.”

“Fine, two-eight it is.”

“Go find Randy. I can give him the Evidence he wants right now.” Wolf waved his hand and turned toward the Cave inside.

Watching Wolf’s retreating back, Wu Chang raised an eyebrow. All the actors were in place, all arrangements were set. He wanted to see what kind of show Wolf was planning to put on.

Using the Passage permit, he managed to reach the Dean's Office without Julie’s help.

Inside the Office, Randy was already prepared.

He was wearing a Hunting jacket lined with Leather Armor, holding a thick Smoothbore Gun in his right hand, resting his left hand on the Rapier at his waist, and carrying his ancestral Golden Crossbow on his back.

Wu Chang intentionally revealed the book he held in his hand and, with a panicked expression, spoke first:

“Dean Randy, I was just reviewing literature in the back courtyard when I suddenly felt the entire Great Earth shaking. When I returned, I vaguely saw several Mysterious Persons wearing Black Robes entering the Sanatorium. The Church of Serenity seems to be making a move.”

Randy said gravely, “No need to worry. I know that studying medicine cannot save White Stone Town, so I also studied Shooting, Swordsmanship, and Hand-to-hand Combat. Even in the worst Situation, I am confident I can get you out of here.”

With a three-meter-tall physical version of Lu Xun blocking the front, Wu Chang instantly felt completely secure.

Just as he was about to say something, an Explosive sound and violent shaking came from beneath them. As the floor collapsed, the two fell directly from the Four layers down to the first floor.

Amidst the Ruins, Wu Chang pushed the debris off himself and stood up, muttering curses.

What was Wolf doing? He almost got himself killed by that fall.

“Dean Randy, are you alright?” he shouted into the surroundings.

With a loud boom, Randy pushed away the debris covering him and emerged from behind Wu Chang. He brushed off the Dust, and a large cloud of smoke and dust instantly engulfed Wu Chang.

“I’m fine. Where are you?”

Wu Chang: “In front of you.”

Randy looked down and finally spotted Wu Chang. “Sorry, I didn’t see you there.”

Wu Chang spat out the dirt in his mouth and asked, “Dean Randy, the Church of Serenity’s operation seems to have begun. Can you fight now?”

“My equipment is fine, but the Explosive was too sudden; I didn't have time to take my medicine for Delusion Syndrome.” Randy’s demeanor became hesitant when mentioning Delusion Syndrome.

Wu Chang pulled out a paper packet from hisHuai and threw it to Randy. “I have some here.”

“Thank you.” Randy took the medicine and swallowed it immediately after a quick glance.

While Randy was taking his medicine, Wu Chang surveyed the surroundings. They had fallen into a prayer room in the corner of the first floor. After briefly identifying the direction, he led Randy toward the first-floor Hall.

If Wolf didn't come to them, they would go find Wolf.

The Explosive created by Wolf had collapsed eighty percent of the Sanatorium Area; the location of the Dean's Office was actually the least affected Area.

The closer they got to the Hall, the more severe the building collapse became. Judging by the scale of the Explosive, the blast point should have been in the first-floor Hall.

However, when the two arrived at the Hall, they found it enveloped by a strange Magic Array. Dense Runes covered the Hall’s floor and walls, leaving the Hall almost completely intact.

As the two stepped into the Magic Array, they saw hundreds of figures staggering out of the Shadows.

Their Bodies were twisted and deformed, mostly rotten, and they were still wrapped in straitjackets they hadn't managed to remove.

If he guessed correctly, these were all patients confined to the severe treatment Area.

Besides the severe treatment Area patients, the Zombie horde also included figures wearing ordinary Patient gowns or even medical staff attire.

The Delusion Syndrome affecting the entire Moonlight Sanatorium had been Detonated at this moment.

Randy turned to look at Wu Chang, asking doubtfully, “What is this?”

Wu Chang nervously explained, “They are all patients from the severe treatment Area. The hallucinogenic drugs have eroded their brains, making them sluggish, causing them to lose most of their senses and Consciousness, leaving them only able to blindly follow the instructions of whoever administers the drugs.”

“But their Bodies…”

“The drugs lower their Immunity, causing self-inflicted wounds to fester and fail to heal. This is normal,” Wu Chang replied calmly.

Randy: “I mean the deformities and mutations.”

Wu Chang looked Confused, “Mutations? Sorry, I didn’t see any mutations.”

“Damn it, the medicine hasn't taken effect yet. It must be my Delusion Syndrome acting up.” Randy laughed awkwardly.

He closed his eyes and slapped his cheeks with both hands, trying to clear his head.

“Calm down, be steady, look closely. They are all normal people.”

As Randy muttered to himself, the Demon Exorcism Formation underground in the Sanatorium was activated. Transparent Flames ignited on the Zombies, and amidst their Screaming, all mutated organs beyond the Human scope turned to Dust.

When he opened his eyes again, the mutations on the Zombies had indeed vanished.

Randy let out a sigh of relief and said to Wu Chang, “It really was a Hallucination.”

Wu Chang was speechless. With his back to Randy, he gave a thumbs-up.

Truly a tough person who witnessed all the events in the Moonlight Sanatorium yet still firmly believed Mysticism did not exist; his ability for self-persuasion needed no questioning.

“Sir Dean, I have always believed in your judgment.”

Facing the surrounding Zombies, Randy initially wanted to hold back and only use Blunt Weapons to Attack.

But after trying several times, he found they had no sense of pain or Fear, like living dead. Even if their limbs were broken, they would crawl over to take a bite.

Seeing that these severe treatment patients could no longer be considered living, he drew his Rapier—which would be considered a two-handed sword against normal people—and began slaughtering them.

Empowered by his Mysticism Talent, Randy’s sword emitted white Sword Light, easily slicing through any Zombie it touched.

Combined with his massive Body and the delicate, exquisite technique contrary to his physique, he fought like he was unstoppable.

In less than ten minutes, he had slain all hundred-plus Zombies.

Just as Randy was about to sheathe his sword, a violent Explosive came from below, blowing a large hole in the Hall floor.

Out of the Dust, Wolf, half-man and half-insect, crawled out of the hole, excited as if greeting an old friend:

“Randy, you finally decided to come out!”

Randy rubbed his eyes, looked up at the insectoid Wolf who was half a meter taller than him, and quietly asked Wu Chang:

“Is this also my Hallucination?”
