Facing the aggressively charging Wolf, Randy had no time to investigate closely and immediately swung his greatsword toward Wolf.
Wolf's attacks were so fast that Wu Chang couldn't clearly see them, yet Randy, as an Ordinary Person, managed to defend with ease.
While maneuvering in combat, he even had time to raise his Smoothbore Gun with one hand and put a few holes in Wolf's head.
The Demon Exorcism Formation, combined with the Spell Formula Randy unconsciously formed, plus his Body Talent as powerful as a Beastman's, quickly allowed him to gain the upper hand.
If nothing unexpected happened, Randy would soon perform a hand-tearing BOSS feat for Wu Chang.
Wu Chang sat in the distance, eating fried beans he had casually taken from the Cafeteria, while clapping his hands.

As the battle escalated and expanded to the entire first-floor Hall, Wu Chang glanced at his Level and wisely retreated into the Shadow, avoiding being caught in the crossfire.
Before leaving, he didn't forget to give Wolf an encouraging look. Wolf covertly nodded at him, showing his Recognition of Wu Chang's action in drawing Randy away.
He had intended to give Randy a look before leaving too, but the bloodshot-eyed Randy didn't notice his gesture.
He had reason to Suspect that some kind of Berserker bloodline had mixed into Randy's Body; upon starting the fight, Randy quickly entered a state resembling a rampage.
Quick reactions, lethal attacks, and absolute Fearlessness.
In this rampaging state, Randy switched between various weapons with extreme fluidity, alternating between the Rapier, Smoothbore Gun, and Gold Crossbow Bolts.
He seized an opportunity while Wolf's center was wide open, pulling out the Smoothbore Gun to strike directly at the center, blasting away half of Wolf's Human Body with one shot.
Then, he leaped high off the stairs, slashing upward with his sword, severing two of Wolf's mutated insect limbs. He tumbled in mid-air, returning the Smoothbore Gun to his back, drawing the Gold Bow and Crossbow, and shooting two silver Crossbow Bolts into Wolf's eyes, pinning Wolf's head to the wall.
Wolf's Vitality was much higher than that of ordinary minions; even being pierced through the head by Demon-Breaking Crossbow Bolts didn't kill him instantly.
He pulled the Crossbow Bolts from the wall using Brute force, the bolts still stuck in his eye sockets, and said to Randy in a relieved tone:
"Randy, it's been so long, and you're still this strong. So strong that I'm starting to wonder, who exactly is the Monster between you and me."
Wolf's words seemed to possess a kind of magic, instantly snapping Randy out of his rampaging state.
Randy, having regained his composure, quickly fell into an inexplicable memory, murmuring as if in a dream:
"I hear many people talking. Your voices are very familiar. Do we know each other?"
"Of course, you and I are sworn friends," Wolf continued to bewitch him with a peculiar tone.
While Randy was lost in thought, in the Shadow unseen by both of them, Wolf's bloated worm Body split open, revealing a fresh, scarlet, heart-like new Body inside. The peeling flesh fibers were thick, resembling a cocoon woven from Flesh and Blood.
Crap, the Instance BOSS is about to enter Stage Two, and our damage dealer is spacing out—what should I do?

There is no out-of-combat assistance function in the Instance Plane. He had no choice but to go himself.
Wu Chang, having assumed the Incarnation of the King, leaped out from the second-floor Shadow and rushed straight toward Wolf.
He had no intention of letting Wolf finish his transition cutscene and successfully break out of the cocoon to become a butterfly.
Wolf noticed the pouncing Wu Chang but made no move. Firstly, his insect limbs had just been severed by Randy and hadn't Regenerated yet; secondly, he didn't believe an insect could pose much of a threat to him.
Compared to a threat, he felt more of an Anger stemming from being offended.
He put on an expression similar to that of the 'Environmental Protection Young Girl' and roared ferociously, "How dare you!"
The Mental Pressure from a B-Level Instance BOSS's rage was enough to instantly kill an Ordinary Person, but Wu Chang only felt an unyielding Spirit enveloping him, leaving him without a trace of Fear. Instead, he shouted back defiantly, naming his Skill:
"Man!"
With the Skill correction from Mamba Iron Elbow, as Wu Chang approached within two meters of Wolf's face, his elbow automatically latched on and smashed squarely into Wolf's face.
This drove the two Demon-Breaking Crossbow Bolts in even deeper, while also making Wolf's already distorted face even more abstract.
After all, he was a B-Level Instance BOSS, so the damage from Mamba Iron Elbow wasn't high, but the Negative Status effects attached to the elbow were quite troublesome, preventing Wolf from continuing to manipulate Randy.
Taking advantage of Randy regaining clarity, Wu Chang activated the Special Skill of the Demon-Breaking Crossbow Bolts, 「Demon-Breaking」, and threw the flashing Golden Light bolts out, shouting:
"Catch!"
Randy understood immediately, catching the Demon-Breaking Crossbow Bolt in mid-air, quickly reloading it, and shooting it toward Wolf.
The last Crossbow Bolt shot out like a golden lightning bolt, accompanied by a deafening explosion, piercing straight into Wolf's brow.
There seemed to be some hidden linkage between the three Crossbow Bolts; the last one fired caused the other two to also enter the "Demon-Breaking" state.
Golden Light enveloped Wolf, and amidst sharp Screaming, the giant insect Body undergoing its cocooning process boiled in the Golden Light. The Body burst open along the cracks, spewing bubbling green Blood all over the floor.
Without the support of the insect Body, Wolf's incomplete Human Body fell. He mustered his last bit of Strength to lift his head and said unwillingly:
"The Sacrifice is about to begin. The God is destined to Incarnate; this is the Heavenly Mandate, unstoppable. Today is not the end, only the beginning of everything!"
With that, he stopped breathing.
Wu Chang spat at Wolf. Dying and still acting like a Riddler—you deserve to burst.
Having resolved the greatest crisis, Wu Chang and Randy collapsed onto the ground. They looked up at the night sky, seeing the stars through the shattered roof of the Sanatorium as the Dark Clouds dissipated.
Randy took off the Ring bearing the Anderson family crest and casually tossed it to Wu Chang, saying:
"Thanks to you, I managed to foil the Tranquility Sect's Conspiracy. As the Controller of White Stone Town, I still have some cleanup work to do. Take this and exchange it for a horse in town, then return to report everything that happened here to His Majesty. I will follow shortly."
The moment he caught the Ring, a Prompt popped up before Wu Chang's eyes.
「Player has completed Main Quest One: Leave the Moonlight Sanatorium. The Player may choose whether to end the Instance and leave the current Plane in an out-of-combat state.」
「Player has completed Main Quest Two: Explore the Secrets within the Moonlight Sanatorium. All Main Quests are complete. After the Countdown ends, the Player will be forcibly Teleported out of the Instance Plane.」
「Maximum remaining stay time in the current Instance is: One Hour.」
After completing the Missions, Wu Chang didn't rush to leave. He took out the Gold pocket watch he found under Jinton's bed to check the time, then asked Randy:
"Dean Randy, before I go, I have a few questions I'd like to discuss with you."
Randy replied, "Ask away."
"Assuming the records in Myths and Legends are true, do you believe the Evil God is a true God?" Wu Chang asked casually.
"If everything is true, then I suppose it must be," Randy answered calmly.
Wu Chang glanced at the time and asked, "Then what do you think is the standard for a God?"
Randy smiled and replied, "You'll have to ask the Church's Priest about that. If you ask me, it's probably possessing the absolute Power to destroy everything and the infinite Wisdom of Omniscience and Omnipotence."
"So you believe the Evil God possesses both of these traits?" Wu Chang's tone became slightly provocative.
Randy shrugged, "Who knows? Maybe when you and I finally meet the Evil God, we'll understand if it's a God or not. By the way, you've been looking at your watch since a moment ago; is something the matter?"
With a snap, Wu Chang closed the Gold pocket watch and said seriously, "I do not believe the Evil God possesses those traits."
Randy smiled and asked, "Why?"
Wu Chang took out the King's Emblem in his left hand and the Arcane Emblem in his right, revealing a brilliant smile.
"Because you don't know what I'm about to do next, Lord Lyman."
