Morning arrived, and sunlight filtered through the heavy curtains into the room.

Ji Xixing’s entire body ached as though it had fallen apart. Supporting herself with one hand on the bed, she struggled to sit up.

Looking at the clothes strewn all over the floor in utter disarray, her freshly awakened mind was still sluggish.Full novel: After Transmigrating into a Novel: the Villain Held Her by the Waist and Coaxed Her Softly to Tears — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

That was, until she noticed the man sleeping beside her.

Those absurd fragments from the night before flashed through her mind like they had suddenly been awakened, and Ji Xixing’s face instantly turned scarlet.

Good heavens, what had she done?

She was really unlucky.

On the very first day after transmigrating, she had been drugged, and now she had woken up in the bed of a strange man. This familiar one night stand scenario was one she knew all too well, and one that she found absolutely mind blowing.

She would just assume this was her punishment. She swore that if she ever encountered another unfinished novel in the future, she would quietly drop it and swallow her grievances instead of running to the author’s Weibo to curse them for three days and three nights.

And now, karma has arrived.

Ji Xixing wanted to cry, but no tears came. She carefully climbed out of bed, intending to sneak away and put an end to this ridiculous mistake.

But the moment her feet touched the floor and she tried to stand, a sharp soreness shot through her legs.

Her feet slipped, and she fell right back onto the floor.

Taking a deep breath, Ji Xixing raised her head, only to meet the man’s sleepy eyes.

“Good morning,” she greeted awkwardly, forcing herself to speak.

The man ignored her. After getting dressed, he simply stood there watching her.

His eyes were deep and unreadable, his handsome features sharp and well-defined, giving off an extremely distant aura.

His gaze stopped on her fair skin, where the marks left behind from the previous night still remained.

Noticing his eyes on her, Ji Xixing immediately grabbed a random piece of clothing from the floor and covered her naked body.

The man let out a cold laugh.

“You’ve already let me see everything and done everything with me last night. Isn’t it a little late to start covering up now?”

His low voice carried a heavy weight that left Ji Xixing blushing furiously. It took her a while before she finally found her voice again.

“We’re just strangers who happened to meet. What happened last night stays between us, and after this, we’ll go our separate ways.”

After saying that, Ji Xixing quickly picked up her clothes from the floor and got dressed in a few swift movements, ready to crawl and run out of this oppressive room.

Before she could stand up, the man blocked her path.

“Go our separate ways?” he raised an eyebrow, finding her words rather amusing.

Thinking he approved of her proposal, Ji Xixing nodded vigorously.

“Don’t worry. The moment I walk out that door, I’ll immediately forget everything that happened last night and never appear in your life again.”

Back when she was still a loyal reader of this novel, she had followed it every night until the early hours, dreaming about its plot every day.

She vaguely guessed that this man was probably the only man in the book who didn’t love the heroine.

Because he was the villain.

In the early stages, the author had portrayed this villain perfectly. But later, the novel had completely fallen apart, with the heroine spending every day surrounded by the men who loved her.

As for this villain, the author had practically forgotten him altogether.

Ji Xixing only wanted to escape this terrifying circle. She had no intention of participating in any of these struggles.

It was far too frightening. Even a hundred lives wouldn’t be enough for her to squander.

Unfortunately, she had clearly misunderstood his meaning.

The man lifted her from the floor and closed the distance between them. Biting lightly on her earlobe, he whispered softly,

“Forget? I can’t. After all, you’re the one who seduced me first.”

A tingling sensation spread from her ears throughout her body. Sensing danger, Ji Xixing didn’t dare move at all and tearfully protested,

“I was drugged!”

“But you were the one who climbed onto my bed and begged me to help you. And I still can’t forget how you cried in my arms and said how amazing I was and how much you liked me.”

“What do you think we should do?”

The blush on Ji Xixing’s face spread all the way from her neck to the tips of her ears.

Faced with his questioning, she looked at him timidly several times.

“I already said we should both selectively forget this…”

Before she could finish, the shirt she had just put on was pushed aside by his large hand.

His lips brushed against her skin, sending waves of tingling sensations through her body, and her limbs instantly softened.

The next moment, pain shot through her as the man bit down hard on her skin, leaving a bright red mark behind.

Ji Xixing cried out in pain.

“Are you a dog or something?”

“I don’t like that solution. Think of another one.”

His tone left no room for argument.

Ji Xixing glanced at his expression and then at her own predicament.

Internally, she cursed the author of this novel ten thousand times, but she still asked carefully,

“Then what do you want?”

“When you climbed into my bed, did you think about what I might do to you?”

His sharp words exploded in Ji Xixing’s mind like thorns, and her temper finally flared.

“If I’d known you’d cling to me like this, I would’ve picked someone else’s bed!”

The moment the words left her mouth, his scorching presence enveloped her. Their lips met, and Ji Xixing viciously bit down.

The taste of blood spread through her mouth. Taking advantage of his momentary pain, she scrambled away and put some distance between them.

The man lowered his head and chuckled softly. When he looked up again, there was still little emotion in those black eyes.

“Nicely done.”

Ji Xixing wasn’t afraid. Instead, she teased him.

“Mr. Gu, the way you’re clinging to me, I might actually think you’re planning to marry me.”

Of course, she was joking.

She knew perfectly well that he wouldn’t marry her.

In novels, this sort of entanglement usually happened because the man simply wanted to have some fun.

Even if he wanted to play around, Ji Xixing certainly didn’t.

She still wanted to return, get revenge on those scumbags, and stay far away from all these troubles.

“You know me?” Gu Wangxuan asked in surprise.

“Mr. Gu’s name is too famous not to know.”

The mighty villain boss from the novel. As one of his devoted fans, Ji Xixing felt that it would be difficult not to know him.

“And what makes you so sure I wouldn’t marry you?”

Gu Wangxuan’s seemingly absurd question caused Ji Xixing’s mind to explode.

But it was his next sentence that truly left her stunned.

“I think I really need a wife like Miss Ji.”

Ji Xixing froze.

Gu Wangxuan, who in the original novel was described as mysterious and cold, was the most difficult man in all of Asia to approach.

Known for his unpredictable temperament and ruthless methods, there were only a handful of men in the world who could rival him, aside from the male lead himself.

Not only was he wealthier than nations, but at a young age he had already built his company into a global empire, with private assets exceeding hundreds of billions.

And now, he was actually asking her to marry him?!

Ji Xixing was delighted for exactly one minute before calming herself down again.

They were complete strangers who had only met by chance. What he needed was probably someone to share his bed with, not a wife.

Wife?

Those were just lies men told.

All of this was nothing more than an obstacle standing in the way of her peaceful life. No matter how rich he was, it had nothing to do with her.

Right now, she had only one thought.

Go back and tear those bastards apart.
