PRINCESS CASSY’S POV My steps were heavy with determination as they carried me to the pavilion in Luna Amelia’s mansion.

After the news I had just heard, I couldn’t keep still.

Lora had confirmed it herself, I knew I couldn’t risk it.Full novel: Alpha’s Rogue Bride — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Luna!” I lowered into a small bow as soon as I saw her.

She was seated in a recliner, admiring the rose flowers which were in full bloom.

She had a broad smile on her face, her eyes were closed as she inhaled the sweet fragrance of roses that filled the pavilion.

Her eyes slowly opened the moment she heard my voice.

“Princess Cassy, come,” she said warmly.

“I was about to send for you.

Come and sit” Her lips stretched into a broad smile as she stretched her right hand toward me.

Her calmness was a stark contrast to the fury surging within me.

I couldn’t believe she still had the luxury of time to enjoy the roses when our plan was falling apart.

But as I drew closer to her, it dawned on me that she probably hadn’t gotten the news.

“Luna, did you not know?” The words tumbled out of my lips before I could stop them.

No, I couldn’t even stop them, the desperate urge for us to do something about it couldn’t let me think of anything else.

The smile on Luna Amelia’s face slowly varnished as she stared at me.

“Know what?” she asked, her forehead creasing as she searched my face for answers.

I threw my hands in the air.

“Kira is pregnant!” The words rushed out of my lips.

The words filled my tongue with a bitter taste that served as fuel to the determination burning within me.

Luna Amelia sat upright, her eyes widening with shock.

I paced to and fro as the thought of it couldn’t let me stay still.

I was waiting for her to say something; something that would help me calm down at least.

Luna Amelia’s lips parted but she didn’t say a word, she looked like she was calculating something.

I stepped closer to her, pulling her attention from wherever it had gone.

It wasn’t the time for her to sit idly, it was the time to take action and we had to do something as soon as possible.

“Luna,” I called, my voice laced with impatience.

“Kira is pregnant with the Alpha’s child, and you know what that means?” I asked her even though I wasn’t expecting an answer from her.

I just wanted her to realize how urgent the situation was.

She blinked, fixing her gaze back on me.

“How did you know that?” She finally said something, her voice laced with an emotion I couldn’t read.

I bit my lips and lowered my gaze to the floor.

I was a little hesitant to tell her about how I got to find out about it, since it would expose what I had done.

After weighing my options, I decided to, looking for a way out was more important to me.

“I.

I was able to get into Alpha’s mansion.

I found my way around one of his maids and got something on her,” I said as calmly as I could.

“She told me about it a few minutes ago.” Luna Amelia nodded, but I could still see the surprise in her eyes.

The way she looked at me said more than her words ever could.

It was clear she was shocked I had planted someone around them already.

“But that’s not possible,” she finally blurted out, her voice heavy with certainty.

It was the sharp edge in her voice that quickly shoved away the worry her stare had planted in me, and I rushed to her side.

She sounded almost certain like it was impossible for Kira to be pregnant with Alpha’s child.

“Luna, what do you mean?” I asked as soon as I settled into the empty chair beside her, wrapping my hands around her arm.

She turned to face me, her certainty clearly visible on her face.

“Tristine hasn’t even marked her yet,” she replied, her voice firm and steady.

Her words hit me and my brows drew together.

My mind began to race with calculations as I tried to understand what she meant.

After about three seconds, my eyes flew open.

I snapped out of it and fixed my gaze back on her.

“Do you mean?” I gasped, my hands flying to my lips.

I couldn’t even get myself to complete the words.

Luna Amelia nodded, staring straight into my eyes.

“That’s right, Cassy,” she said, affirming my suspicion.

“How’s it possible for her to be with a child when they’ve not even consummated their marriage?” I shot to my feet as soon as I heard her, my fists clenching at my sides.

How dare her try to act so proud and haughty before me when she wasn’t even a virgin?

The fact that she wasn’t qualified in any way to be close to Tristine and be his Luna heightened the flames burning within me.

My head whipped towards Luna Amelia who was more composed than I was.

She looked too calm for what she had just discovered.

“Luna, a stained bride is not fit to be the Luna of the respected Red Moon Pack,” I stated, staring into her eyes.

I didn’t know what she was thinking, but I had to remind her that I wasn’t going to sit still and watch it happen.

Her lips curled into a smirk and she rested her back on the recliner.

“Of course.

I know that,” she replied firmly.

“I’ve always known she wasn’t fit in any way to be our Luna, and now she has brought disgrace on us.

I’m not going to let it happen.” Hearing those words from her filled my veins with a rush of adrenaline.

I quickly settled into the couch beside her again.

“Luna, we have to do something about it,” the words tumbled out of my lips as I stared into her eyes.

A broad smile curled on her lips and she scoffed.

“Of course,” she replied then stretched her hands toward me.

“Now come, let’s go pay her a visit.”
