“Bang!” The other vehicle swerved, its entire body sweeping sideways.

No matter how fast Xie Ning’s hands moved, she couldn’t change the fate of the two cars colliding. She could only press down on Song Kexin’s head in the passenger seat as quickly as possible.

“Bang, bang.” The windows shattered into pieces.Full novel: Apocalypse: Escape from Day One — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

The airbags deployed.

Several glass fragments flew in, and both of them instinctively ducked to avoid them.

A low, muffled roar came from the SUV opposite. A bloody, mangled hand fell heavily on the car window, swaying back and forth like a grim warning, weighing heavily on both their hearts.

Xie Ning yanked off Song Kexin’s seatbelt, punched open the passenger door, and pushed the bewildered Song Kexin out. “Go to your aunt’s place! Run, run, run!”

“Y-yes, is it… are the zombies coming?” Song Kexin shuddered all over, turning back to try and salvage the rice, flour, oil, and other supplies from the back seat.

Xie Ning slapped away her greedy hand and snapped, “Run now!”

What time is it to still be thinking about supplies? This reckless kid.

Song Kexin was on the verge of tears. Abandoning these supplies and running felt like such a waste.

But time waited for no one. Several roars seemed to be coming from all directions.

Stumbling out of the car, Song Kexin glanced over and saw several staggering zombies emerging from behind the SUV.

Letting out a short scream, Song Kexin clutched her backpack and desperately ran toward her aunt’s small van.

Xie Ning turned around, placed her hand on the back seat, and instantly stored all the haphazardly piled rice, flour, oil, and bottled water into her space.

She grabbed the large black travel bag, “bang!” kicked open the driver’s door, and sent a staggering rotting corpse that had approached the door flying half a meter away.

Hanging the large travel bag over her shoulder, Xie Ning pulled out the long knife from her space and slashed at the rotting corpse charging toward her.

While kicking it away, Xie Ning agilely climbed onto the car roof, took three steps in two leaps, and jumped onto the SUV opposite.

The rotting corpses gathered around the van, only to find their prey gone, and slowly turned around.

Xie Ning crouched on the SUV and let out a sigh of relief.

After Awakening her supernatural ability, her physical condition had generally improved.

Although she was still just a Spatial Ability User with a seemingly useless ability, her physical fitness was undoubtedly better than that of an ordinary person.

At least in this early stage, escaping shouldn’t be a problem.

“Roar, roar, roar.” Growls came from inside the SUV.

The bloody, mangled hand hung outside the window, struggling desperately and angrily pounding on the car body while roaring.

Xie Ning flipped over on the roof, swiftly dealt with a rotting corpse that had followed her, and hurriedly jumped down.

She saw the SUV’s owner, still strapped into the driver’s seat by the seatbelt, rolling his grayish-white eyes and gnashing his teeth at her with a growl.

Xie Ning looked at him expressionlessly, thrust the long knife into the back of his head, and quickly ended it.

Opening the trunk, Xie Ning discovered that this guy had been preparing to flee—the trunk was packed with supplies.

Two boxes of mineral water, two boxes of sports drinks, along with plenty of cigarettes and alcohol, two bags of rice, and two bottles of soybean oil.

You were thoughtful, brother. Thank you for your enthusiastic assistance.

We will carry on your legacy and continue to live well.

Xie Ning silently murmured these words, then stored all the supplies from the trunk into her space.

Low growls echoed in her ears. She knew she couldn’t delay any longer and quickly turned to run toward the small van.

Song Kexin and Song You’ai were both growing impatient and were about to go down to check when they saw Xie Ning rush into the passenger seat, squeezing in beside Song Kexin. “Mom, drive!”
