The two of them returned home.

Felix walked onto the balcony and set up a small stove.

Barbecue!” As he spoke, Felix took skewers of meat out of the refrigerator.

That refrigerator was Piltover-made.

Once the charcoal was hot, Felix placed the skewers directly over the grill and sprinkled them with spices unique to Zaun.

Fat dripped onto the coals, releasing a mouthwatering aroma.

“That smells amazing.” Jinx took a deep breath.

With Felix around, her mental state was still fairly good.

“You made this much.

Can the two of us really finish it?” She impatiently grabbed a skewer, put it in her mouth, then stuck out her tongue after burning herself.

Felix opened a can of chilled beer and took a sip.

The ice-cold beer made him feel completely refreshed.

“Ah, that hits the spot.” Felix was someone with high standards when it came to food and drink.

The occasional beer with barbecue was a real pleasure for him.

“How do you know it’s just the two of you eating?” Silco’s voice came from the doorway.

“You went a bit too far, Felix.” “I thought you’d understand me.” Felix handed over a few skewers.

“They were obstacles to Zaun’s progress.” “But Zaun can’t afford any more chaos right now.

They controlled Zaun’s lifelines, the economy, the supplies.

All of that was in their hands.

One bomb, and they all die.

Then what?

How are we supposed to take over this mess?” “You have to cut out the rotten flesh before new flesh can grow.

Zaun can withstand the upheaval right now,” Felix argued.

“Do you know how many people will die because of this?

Without those Chem-Barons, the people at the bottom of Zaun will lose their wages.

You were too impatient.” Silco rubbed his forehead and shook his head helplessly.

He had always been extreme enough, but Felix’s decisiveness forced him to reexamine his own plans.

Felix poured all the gold coins from his backpack onto the ground.

“This is five thousand gold coins.

I extorted them from the barons.

Baron Saito Takeda looks down on Finn, Renni, and the others.

We can use him to build a connection with Piltover and secure supplies.

This money is also enough for the Undercity to deal with the emergency.” Felix took a breath, then continued, “I also talked to Saul today.

Tomorrow, have Sevika help him pacify the Lanes.

Ideally, she should replace him.

Distribute the drug in batches among the lowest classes.

Without it, they’ll die even sooner.

We can also recruit people there and train them into weapons, on a voluntary basis.

We can offer money as compensation.” After hearing Felix’s plan, Silco sighed.

“The plan isn’t bad, but you’re taking far too large a step.

Everything you just said depends on Piltover not interfering.

What happens if Piltover does interfere?

Everything I have in the future belongs to you, including Zaun.

You’re still young.

Don’t rush things.

I’ll go talk to Saito Takeda tomorrow.” Silco understood that Felix was clearing away resistance for him.

It was just that Zaun’s current state truly could not withstand more turmoil.

Felix said nothing.

He only raised his beer and drank it in one go.

For a very long stretch after that, Felix did not leave home.

Instead, he stayed in the lab and developed his new technology.

After scamming a fortune out of the Chem-Barons a few days earlier, he had spent several hundred gold coins on dozens of draws.

Other than a pile of skin shards and a Star Guardian Jinx skin card, he successfully obtained enough RP to directly purchase his ultimate weapon from the shop, the blueprints for Mecha Kingdoms Sett.

After he and Jinx spent three full months researching it together, using Zaun’s chemtech as the power source, a gorgeous mech was finally completed.

“This is way too cool, Felix.” Jinx stroked the mech as she spoke.

“Yeah.” Felix looked at the mech, his face full of excitement.

A mech was every man’s dream.

“Too bad it can’t be compressed into a belt,” he muttered quietly afterward.

“Huh?

What did you say?” Jinx had not heard his muttering clearly.

Speaking of Jinx, she was not the kind of person who could sit still.

While helping Felix with his research, she had also gone to Silco, hoping he would give her another exciting mission like the last one.

Unfortunately, she did not get what she wanted.

In the end, under his orders, she went to suppress the riots in the Lanes.

After she stopped a vicious street fight between two thugs at the cost of shooting both of them dead, Felix dragged her back.

It was better to keep bloodshed to a minimum.

As for Piltover, after Silco and Baron Saito Takeda negotiated, Saito Takeda pressured Piltover until the original Enforcer squad was finally withdrawn.

After paying a price, the impact of the deaths of several Chem-Barons on the Undercity gradually settled down, and he became one of the Chem-Barons himself.

As for the price, no one knew.

“Oh, right.

This is for you.” Felix suddenly remembered something and tossed the Star Guardian card to Jinx.

“What is this?

Thirty-seven percent match?” Jinx was a little surprised.

“When you’re in a hopeless situation, take it out.

It’ll give you power.

But I hope you never have to use it.” Felix did not explain the card’s function in detail.

“Fine.” Jinx put the card into her small pouch.

Felix directly equipped the mech.

“Let’s go see what Silco is doing.” “Honestly, I kind of want one too.” Jinx pouted.

“Come on!” Felix wrapped an arm around Jinx and activated the mech’s flight system, shooting straight out from the balcony.

“Ah!

We’re flying!” Jinx flew through the sky in Felix’s arms.

That feeling of freedom made the crazy girl feel a little happy.

If it had been an ordinary person, just flying into the sky without any safety measures would have been enough to make their legs go weak.

Jinx, however, was unusually excited.

“Hey, can you go a little faster?” Jinx’s voice reached Felix’s ears through the wind.

“Of course.” The machine’s electronic voice came from the mech as Felix gave an affirmative answer.

Several additional boosters appeared on the mech’s legs.

They were powered by chemtech engines.

The effect was powerful, but they consumed a lot of energy.

“Aaaaaah!” Jinx shouted excitedly in midair, as if she wanted to scream out all the frustration in her heart.

The two of them flew straight to Silco’s pharmaceutical facility.

After slowing down slightly, they smashed directly through the window into Silco’s office.

The sudden sound of breaking glass scared Silco into a cold sweat.

After all, he had no real combat ability himself, and Sevika had been sent out on assignment.

“Hi, Silco.” The mech’s faceplate opened, revealing Felix’s somewhat awkward smile.

He slowly stood up.

Jinx had crashed into the office with him, but under Felix’s protection, she had not been hurt.

“That was awesome!

Felix!

I want to do it again.” Jinx climbed out from the broken wall and said to Felix.

Then she suddenly saw Silco’s completely dark expression.

“What’s wrong, Silco?
