After the noise of the day faded, only silence remained in Zaun’s night.
For some reason, Felix suddenly could not sleep tonight.
He looked out the window.
Zaun’s environment was still the same, murky air and filthy rivers.
All of it came from the pollution left behind when Piltover was first built, along with Piltover’s everyday waste dumping.
“I really wonder when I’ll be able to make Zaun better.” Felix lit a cigarette and exhaled a cloud of smoke.
He slowly paced around the room, feeling like something was missing.
“Jinx?” Since it was the middle of the night, Felix did not call out loudly.
If he woke that little menace up, he could forget about getting any sleep.
He gently pushed open Jinx’s bedroom door.
Sure enough, Jinx was not in her room.
Where did that girl run off to?
Felix was a little worried.
Not about her safety, but about her mental state.
Jinx had a mental illness, bipolar disorder.
Sometimes she became manic and entered an extremely excited state.
In that state, her talent would be fully unleashed, and she would be a genius in every sense of the word.
Other times, she would fall into depression, insecurity, and self-denial.
She would feel as though the whole world was collapsing.
The reason she had developed that illness had something to do with her sister too.
Back when she had no real strength of her own, Vi protected her every day and encouraged her.
Then, whenever she messed things up, Mylo would mock her.
Vi would encourage her again, making her feel like she could do it after all.
That cycle, combined with every blow she suffered, would have driven anyone insane.
But right now, Felix was not looking for the cause of her illness.
The urgent matter was finding Jinx.
Otherwise, if her condition kept developing, he would not even be surprised if one day, while he was sleeping, she shot him, then held his body and cried her eyes out.
“Sevika.
Jinx is missing.” Felix first went to Sevika, who had already taken control of the Lanes.
“I understand, young boss,” Sevika slowly said as she looked at Felix, who had woken her up.
“Find her within half an hour.
Once you find her, just tell me.
I’ll go get her myself.” Aside from Jinx and Silco, Felix was moody and unpredictable with everyone else, which made the others extremely careful around him.
Sevika quickly contacted her subordinates and sent out most of her people to search for Jinx.
Only twenty minutes passed before someone discovered Jinx’s location.
“That crazy girl is in that abandoned arcade right now, boss.” The thug did not notice Felix, or perhaps he simply did not recognize him, and spoke directly to Sevika.
Before he could finish, Sevika knocked him to the ground with one punch.
“Thanks, Sevika.” As Felix spoke, he put away the gun in his hand, which he had already taken off safety, then walked toward the door.
After cutting through a few alleys, Felix finally found the remote arcade.
He saw Jinx’s figure.
She was kneeling on the floor, and the punching bag machine had just displayed a score of 4406.
She was panting heavily, tears streaming uncontrollably from the corners of her eyes.
“Who’s there?” Jinx suddenly raised her gun and aimed it at Felix.
“It’s time to go home, Jinx.” Felix did not stop.
He kept walking toward her.
“Who told you to come here?
Who told you to come here?” Jinx’s gun was still pointed at Felix.
She looked like a criminal cornered by the police, or a lamb forced into a dead end by a lion.
Felix walked up to Jinx and pulled her straight into his arms.
“It’s all right.
It’s over.
I’ll stay by your side.” Jinx could not hold back her tears anymore.
“You all lied to me!
All of you lied to me!
Ah!” She cried as she hit Felix’s back, but from that angle, she could not put much force into it.
Felix quietly patted Jinx’s back until she slowly calmed down.
Only then did he gently let go.
“Come on.
I’ll take you somewhere nice.” Jinx stood up and spoke calmly.
The two of them soon reached a tower in Zaun.
From there, they could see all of Zaun, as well as distant Piltover.
“Every time I was sad, my sister would bring me here and encourage me.” Jinx looked a little lonely.
At that moment, she seemed more like a girl her age.
“What you need isn’t just encouragement.
You also need the right soil for your talent to grow.” Felix looked at the scenery as he spoke.
“You knew all along.
You told me before she betrayed me.” Jinx continued.
By now, her hair had grown very long.
Her pale blue hair and sky-blue eyes gave her a strange beauty.
“See Piltover over there?
I want to make Zaun look like that too.
That’s Silco’s dream, and it’s mine too.” “I used to imagine what it would look like when the Undercity went to war with Piltover.
Felix, I’ll become the enemy’s Jinx.” She braided her waterfall-like hair into twin tails.
“Let me help you.” Felix pressed down on Jinx’s hand.
He had always hoped that Jinx could use emotion to control her madness, rather than letting madness control her emotions.
The night deepened.
“Felix!
Today is the annual Progress Day!” Jinx shoved Felix as she spoke.
“So, what’s your plan?” Felix did not stop what he was doing.
His PROJECT skin had already been unlocked.
The 098X Dissolve Blade and the Monarch SR “Living Flame” Armor.
Felix had studied these two pieces of equipment for a long time, but chemtech energy could not support the armor’s normal operation, nor could it support the blade transforming into its complete form.
In truth, even Mecha Kingdoms was not compatible with chemtech energy.
Chemtech energy only won through sheer quantity, and it also caused a certain amount of damage to the mech itself.
“Obviously, we make a huge explosion!” Jinx paced back and forth in front of Felix with great excitement, making it impossible for him to focus.
But her words did catch Felix’s interest.
Piltover’s Hexgates had already been built.
Their energy supply was probably the blue crystal Jinx had obtained back when she was still Powder.
Maybe that thing could support his research into the PROJECT series skins.
However, he did not mention anything about the crystal to Jinx.
“Your plan is too boring, Jinx,” Felix said calmly.
“Don’t destroy things just for the sake of destruction.
What would you get out of that?” “Felix, you’ve changed.” Jinx curled her lip at Felix in disdain.
“Is there anything more exciting than an explosion?” “Of course there is.
Listen to me.
We can do this…” The two began plotting together, while Silco was still completely in the dark.
This was a carnival for two young people.
“That’s amazing, Felix.
You really are a genius!
Now this is a bigger stage.” Jinx looked excited, and Felix also began to feel a little anticipation.
In truth, sometimes, he also suddenly wanted to go crazy together with Jinx.
He starts out weak and almost gets killed by Aatrox, but survives by using his knowledge of League lore.
After that, he gains a system that rewards him whenever he helps important characters fulfill their desires, gaining one of its abilities or traits.
The story is basically Zach traveling across Runeterra, helping major characters with their biggest problems.
He gets involved with Aatrox, Kai’Sa, Taliyah, Ashe, Ahri, Soraka, Lux, Syndra, Viego, Bard, Aurelion Sol, and many others.
Major love interests: Ashe, Kai’Sa, Ahri, Soraka, Lux, and Syndra.
