Urgot was one of Noxus’s most powerful executioners.
In Noxian philosophy, strength was truth.
With his massive executioner’s axe, he harvested the lives of the weak.
His purpose was to prove the ideals of Noxus.
Years of bloodshed had made him brutal and insane.
His glory rose higher and higher with the piles of corpses behind him, and his authority was what kept countless warbands disciplined.
With the war against Demacia over, the corruption and incompetence of Noxus’s rulers had already begun to show.
During the war against Demacia, Swain had been constrained at every turn.
Now that the war had paused, he intended to clean out his political enemies one by one.
Urgot was one of the victims of that struggle.
He received orders to come to Zaun and investigate a conspiracy against Noxus.
Meanwhile, Swain had already arranged for Saito Takeda to act as his inside man, making sure that once Urgot came to Zaun, he would never leave alive.
But maybe it was luck, or maybe it was misfortune.
Urgot, disguised aboard a merchant ship, had not even had time to investigate Zaun before he received a barrage of shells from Zaun instead.
Jinx saw the merchant ship sailing toward the Sun Gates in the distance, picked up the upgraded Fishbones, and opened with a wave of rockets meant to scare them off.
Under her precise control, every missile struck exactly where she wanted it to strike.
The sails, for example.
Then the cabins.
Urgot had been resting in the captain’s quarters and had not expected to be ambushed near the Sun Gates.
A missile exploded right beside him, and as a veteran of countless battles, he felt the threat of death.
He only had time to roll in place and protect his head.
Even so, the blast tore wounds across nearly half his body.
But he was thick-skinned and tough, and at that moment, he roared in fury, “We’ve been discovered!
Return fire!” More than twenty soldiers had been hidden aboard the little merchant ship.
Although three had been injured in the blast, the rest quickly organized and counterattacked.
“Hey, caliber is truth!” Jinx shouted the trash talk Felix had taught her, then excitedly started heading back.
An ordinary merchant ship would have raised a white flag long ago after its mast was blown apart and several shells slammed into it.
Jinx assumed this ship would be no different.
But no one knew that the men aboard were battle-hardened soldiers from Noxus.
“Look out!” A red-haired boy tackled Jinx to the side, but several bullets hit him from behind.
Unfortunately, one of them struck his heart.
This boy was someone Felix had taken in from the lowest level.
When Felix first found him, he had been beside his parents.
Sadly, his parents were already dead, killed by mutation.
When Felix saw him, he had felt a sudden trace of pity and taken him in.
The boy had no real talent for research, but he had always been loyal.
He had followed Felix for three full years.
This time, Felix had specifically told him that no matter what happened, he could not let anything happen to Jinx.
He had agreed without hesitation.
And now, he had paid for that kindness from years ago with his life.
Jinx looked at the red-haired boy dead in her arms, and her heart twisted painfully.
Her vision blurred.
In her eyes, the boy’s figure kept overlapping with Vi’s.
It was almost as though the one who had saved her was her sister.
She yanked at her hair in agitation and let out an enraged scream.
Then she lifted the light machine gun and swept it wildly at the enemy as though she had entered an empty battlefield.
Urgot’s soldiers could not raise their heads under that suppression.
But Jinx was still only one person.
During the gap when she changed magazines, a bullet struck her in the shoulder.
“Are you insane?
Do you have a death wish?” Sevika dragged her behind cover.
Facing elite enemy soldiers and relatively advanced weapons, Sevika did not want to lose too many people here.
But Jinx did not care about any of that.
She pressed the gun against Sevika’s forehead.
“Shut your mouth.
You don’t get to order me around.
Got it?” As she spoke, she pulled out the electromagnetic gun.
She still remembered the look of shock on Felix’s face when they first developed it.
After his improvements, as long as a coin was placed on the electromagnetic ring and the gun was driven at maximum power, it could unleash astonishing force.
Jinx placed the coin in her hand onto the electromagnetic gun, then set the Hextech gemstone Felix had given her before she left onto the gun as its power source.
Looking at the ship in the distance, she gently pulled the trigger.
A tremendous surge of energy used the coin as its medium and blasted straight out, tearing the distant ship in two.
On Jinx’s side, the recoil shook her so hard that blood seeped from her wound.
The last shred of reason she had left made her take the Hextech gemstone out and place it back into its box.
Then she clutched her head and dropped to her knees.
On that gemstone, she had seen Mylo.
She had seen Claggor.
She had seen Vander.
Finally, she saw Vi.
She saw Vi trapped in a desperate situation.
Maybe it was the bond between sisters, but this hallucination made Jinx deeply uneasy.
She pressed a hand to her forehead and stood up.
“Back to Zaun.” No one around her answered.
The sailors who had won the battle showed no joy.
Instead, they all looked at Jinx as though they were staring at a monster.
“Do none of you understand me?
I said back to Zaun!” Jinx took the machine gun and swept it in a circle around her.
Three of her own people were injured.
They hated Jinx, but none of them dared to resist.
“I really don’t get why the boss let that lunatic take command.” “She’s nothing but a disaster.
She even shoots her own people?
She can’t tell friend from foe.” “Even William died because of her.” Their muttering drifted into Jinx’s ears with the wind.
At that moment, Jinx hid in her cabin and stared at the blood staining her hands.
The one who should have fallen was her.
She curled up, buried her head against her knees, and wept in silence.
No one knew what state Jinx was in right now.
Aside from Silco and Felix, no one had ever seen Jinx like this.
If Felix had been here, he would have known that Jinx had entered the depressive phase of her manic-depressive cycle again.
What came next was Jinx’s dumbass shutdown time.
In the lowest level of Zaun, the battle between Felix and Vi still had not ended, but the situation was already obvious.
He drew the long blade from his back and kept slashing at Vi with ordinary strikes.
Even though Vi was agile, she had no way to dodge every attack.
At this point, Vi was once again covered in wounds.
None of them were fatal, but blood had already soaked through her clothes and dripped onto the ground.
“Vi!” Caitlyn watched anxiously from the side, but there was nothing she could do.
She had already been restrained by Silco and his men.
The masked boy who had been watching from the shadows for a long time could no longer sit still.
Just as Felix’s blade was about to strike Vi’s head, he stepped onto his hoverboard and used the metal pipe in his hand to block Felix’s sword.
Seeing the masked figure suddenly intervene, Felix frowned slightly.
This was the first battle of the Living Flame Armor.
It absolutely had to end in victory.
He directly activated the mech’s complete form.
The armor and the blade in his hand both shone with dazzling white light, then cut through the metal pipe as easily as tofu and slashed straight toward Vi.
“Damn it,” the masked boy cursed under his breath.
