At the masked man’s shout, the scenery around them actually began to rewind, returning everything to the way it had been one minute ago.
The masked man was Ekko.
After Vander’s death, his old friends had left one by one.
He did not understand why Saul had chosen to cooperate with Silco.
But after watching the people of the lowest levels slowly being corroded by Shimmer, he decided to leave the general store.
It had to be said that Ekko was a genius, a scientific genius.
Although the lowest levels had already fallen into ruin under the spread of Silco’s Shimmer, there were still a small number of people who had not touched it.
He modified the hoverboard he had been studying since childhood and added a propulsion system.
Then, with his own hands, he founded the Firelights.
A long time ago, he had accidentally wandered to the factory where that explosion had happened and picked up shards of Hextech crystal.
Ever since then, he had been researching that miraculous thing.
Only now had he used his time-rewind ability for the first time.
After time rewound, he glanced at Vi, who was barely holding on.
He appeared at Vi’s side again.
This time, the two of them faced Felix together, and Ekko also knew about another state of Felix’s mech.
At that moment, Ekko fully displayed his agile movement.
If he could dodge, he would absolutely not let Felix’s long blade touch either his body or his weapon.
Finally, Felix grew somewhat impatient.
The mech and the blade in his hand once again released a dazzling white light.
Just as Ekko secretly raised his guard, Felix’s speed shocked him.
The instant he saw the white light, he had already started retreating with Vi, but in less than a second, Felix appeared in front of him again.
The long blade in his hand stabbed straight into Ekko’s abdomen.
This time, even with Vi helping him, he had only lasted a little over thirty seconds.
The pocket watch on Ekko’s body ticked.
“Again, Polarity Reversal!” The scenery around them rewound once more.
This time, the time reversal only went back forty seconds.
Most importantly, the wound Felix had stabbed into his abdomen had not fully healed.
He clutched his stomach in the shadows, looked at Vi, who could no longer resist, then looked at Silco in the distance.
An idea formed in his mind.
The hoverboard under his feet accelerated directly, rushing toward Silco.
The sudden burst of speed from the hoverboard caught everyone off guard.
At that moment, Felix’s blade was already pressed against Vi’s neck.
“You move, they both die.” Ekko’s threatening voice came from the distance.
Felix’s expression turned completely cold.
“Do you really think we don’t have the ability to kill every last fly in your little swarm?” Silco’s forces and the Firelights had some friction, most of it caused by conflicts over Shimmer.
It was just that Silco had never freed up the time to deal with these people.
“You move, they both die.” Ekko wasted no words and simply repeated himself.
The gun in his hand was already pressed to Silco’s temple.
Felix suddenly smiled, then released Vi.
He put the blade away behind his back.
“You win this time.
Next time, I hope your luck is still this good.” Felix’s smile was filled with coldness.
Ekko did not act rashly.
He knew Felix’s speed.
With one hand, he held Silco hostage.
With the other, he threw the badly wounded Vi onto the hoverboard.
“Take Caitlyn with us,” Vi said weakly.
Although she did not know who this masked man was, she could not watch Caitlyn fall into Silco’s hands.
Felix released Caitlyn directly without bargaining.
In his eyes, no number of Caitlyns could compare to Silco.
Ekko settled both of them in place.
Then the hoverboard rose shakily, while his pistol remained aimed at Silco.
Only after the three of them had gone far away did Felix breathe a sigh of relief.
“You’re not hurt, are you?” “I’m fine.
You shouldn’t have let him go,” Silco said, somewhat weakly.
“That masked kid probably has some kind of time-rewind ability.
There’s a wound on his waist from my blade, but I don’t remember injuring him.” Felix had already confirmed that this person was Ekko.
He just had not expected him to learn his ultimate at level one.
Hearing Felix’s words, Silco was surprised.
He had never thought time could be distorted.
“Increase the search.
Dig three feet into the ground if you have to, but find them.” “Forget it.
By my count, Jinx should be coming back soon.
Whether she wants to be Powder or Jinx, let her choose for herself.
If we choose for her, we’re crossing the line.” Felix waved his hand.
If they had killed Vi outright, then it would have been one thing.
But now Vi was not dead.
Once Jinx learned about this, it would only create cracks in what had been a harmonious relationship between them.
“I’m dead tired.
I’m going back first.” Felix yawned.
He had already gone a day and a night without sleep, then fought a battle on top of that.
Now drowsiness was hitting him hard.
On the other side, Ekko saved Vi and Caitlyn, but then tied Caitlyn up.
He knew Powder had already become one of Silco’s people.
And Vi, who had been missing for years, had now appeared alongside an Enforcer.
Did that mean she had betrayed Zaun?
Ekko brought Vi to a small house and slowly took off his mask.
“For a dead person, you look pretty lively.” Ekko’s voice had changed a lot.
It had become weathered, with an indescribable air to it.
“Ekko?” Vi’s eyes widened as she looked at him, both delighted and shocked.
Ekko did not respond.
He only stared at Vi coldly.
“Why are you here?” “I’m looking for Jinx.” Vi did not understand how her childhood friend had become so cold.
“Jinx?
What are you looking for her for?” Ekko asked directly.
“She’s Powder!
I searched everywhere and couldn’t find her.” Vi grew emotional.
“It’s me, Vi!
The one who used to see you covered head to toe in grease and drag you to the junkyard to hose you off!” Watching Vi get closer and closer, Ekko could not help taking a step back.
Then he turned his head and said, “That was a long time ago.
People change.” His expression was a little lonely.
“Yeah.
I noticed,” Vi said, also growing dim.
“Are you working for Piltover now?” “You asshole!” Vi cursed immediately.
“I thought you were dead.
Then you suddenly show up again, strolling through the Lanes with a Piltie girl.” Ekko was getting emotional too.
“So you were following us the whole time.
Why didn’t you say anything?” “How was I supposed to know if I could still trust you?” The two of them argued, then Vi suddenly smiled.
She hugged Ekko.
“I missed you, little man.” He was the first playmate Vi had ever met in the Lanes.
Ekko’s eyes widened slightly when Vi hugged him, but he did not break free.
He hugged Vi back, and a tear slipped from the corner of his eye.
“What about Cupcake?
I mean, the Piltover cop who came with me.” “I tied her up and tossed her in a warehouse.” “Let her out already.” Vi sounded anxious.
“She’s fine.
I’ll show you around my base first.” Ekko looked at Vi and smiled.
