“This place is amazing, Ekko.

You built all this?” Vi asked in surprise.

It gave off a peaceful feeling, without Zaun’s filth and chaos.

Most importantly, they could see sunlight.

“After Vander died, Silco got the people of the lowest levels hooked on Shimmer.

The people here either got addicted or died.

He doesn’t care what Shimmer does to the human body.” Ekko looked at the little slice of paradise he had built and spoke slowly.

“I don’t know why Saul reached a deal with Silco, but now he’s been pushed out of the center of power too.

Right now, all of Zaun is under Silco’s control.” “I should’ve been here, protecting you, protecting everyone,” Vi said, blaming herself.

“Actually, if that accident hadn’t happened, maybe Vander and Silco would have worked together too.

He promised Vander he wouldn’t use Shimmer recklessly.” “Once a weapon is made, it’s going to be used.

It’s only a matter of time.

If I’d gone with you to save Vander that day, maybe none of this would’ve happened.” “Or maybe you would’ve died.

Or changed,” Vi said dimly.

She was not talking about Ekko.

She was talking about Powder.

“Powder is gone, Vi.

What’s left is Jinx, and she belongs to Silco.” “You’re wrong.

Powder is still in her heart.

I can wake her up,” Vi cut him off directly.

“You can’t wake her up!” Ekko snapped back.

“She’s my sister.

I know her.” Vi refused to give even an inch.

The two of them fell silent for a while.

Ekko changed the subject.

“There’s something I want to show you.” With that, he brought Vi to a mural.

Painted on it were their memories from the past.

“The people we lost are all here,” Ekko said with a sigh.

“Look at these people.

Enforcers may have played a part in killing them, but the real culprit was Silco.

Your sister wasn’t forced to work for him.

She chose it willingly.

I know that sounds harsh, but that’s the truth.” On the mural, there was clearly a painting of Powder as a child.

Vi could not find anything to say.

She lowered her head, then raised it again and looked at the Powder on the mural.

“I think we should let Caitlyn out first, then talk about the next step,” Vi said, changing the subject.

In the warehouse, Caitlyn was tied to a pillar.

A child brought her water, but she knocked it away in one motion.

Ekko crouched by the door, staring at Caitlyn with a rebellious look on his face.

“What did you do to Vi?” Caitlyn felt like she had just escaped one hell only to fall into another.

Her luck really was terrible.

“Listen, let her go.

I’m the one who brought her here.

I’m the one you want.” Caitlyn was anxious.

Ever since she arrived here, she had not seen Vi at all.

Just then, Vi suddenly appeared from the other side of the door and smiled at Caitlyn.

“My hero.” “I…

I thought you…

I thought they’d done something to you.” Caitlyn became incoherent when she saw Vi suddenly appear.

“Vi told me you’re trustworthy.

You can go back topside.

That’s it.

Leave,” Ekko said, looking at Caitlyn.

“But I still need to get evidence of Silco’s crimes,” Caitlyn refused.

“Silco?

He doesn’t need evidence of crimes anymore.

He’s already declared war on topside.

Topside won’t tolerate what he’s done this time either.” Ekko spat on the floor.

“And what about you?

If he goes to war with topside, do you think you’ll be able to stay out of it?

If war breaks out, there will be sacrifices.” After coming to Zaun this time, Caitlyn’s impression of Zaun had changed.

She did not want these innocent people to die.

Ekko suddenly fell silent.

“Then what do you think we should do?” “Find the Hextech crystal and bring it back.

There’s still a chance to turn everything around,” Caitlyn said, cutting straight to the point.

When Felix had just returned home, he heard a faint rustling sound.

“Jinx?” Felix called out.

Logically speaking, Jinx should have been on the ship right now, not at home.

There was no answer from inside the room, so he walked straight toward Jinx’s bedroom.

A thief was impossible.

There was probably no one in Zaun that stupid.

He carefully pushed open Jinx’s door.

At that moment, Jinx was curled up in the corner of the room, surrounded by dolls she had made based on her dead friends.

The box she treasured had also been opened.

Inside were a dirty rabbit doll, a family portrait she had drawn, and an intact flare.

Felix sighed and turned on the light.

The moment Jinx saw Felix had returned, she threw herself into his arms.

“William died.

He died for me.” It was obvious that she was terrified.

Maybe she was afraid Felix would leave her behind again, just like her sister had.

When Felix heard that, his pupils shrank as well.

He had admired that boy.

Loyalty was practically his defining trait.

“It’s okay.

People die in war.

You didn’t get him killed.

He died for me,” Felix comforted her.

He felt regret over William’s death, but protecting Jinx with his life had also been Felix’s order.

“I won’t abandon you.

I’ll always be by your side.” Felix patted Jinx’s back and comforted her.

When Jinx was in this shutdown state, the thing she needed most was a sense of security.

Felix had always done well at that.

Under Felix’s comfort, Jinx’s state improved quite a bit.

Then, suddenly, she noticed the bloodstains on Felix’s clothes.

“You’re hurt?” As she spoke, she was already about to pick up a gun and go settle the score.

“Someone else’s blood, Jinx.

Don’t be so impulsive.” Felix held his forehead.

“There’s something I need to tell you.

You can choose to sleep first and calm down before I say it, or I can tell you now.

But if I do, you probably won’t be able to sleep.” Jinx stared at Felix.

Although she did not speak, the meaning in her expression was clearly telling Felix to spit it out already.

“Fine, fine.

I found traces of Vi.” Felix dropped the bombshell directly.

“What?

Where is she?” Jinx shot to her feet, then perhaps realized she should not be so excited about Vi and sat back down.

“What did she come here for?” “She came from topside, and there was a Piltover Enforcer with her.” Felix spread his hands.

“Maybe they came to keep the Hextech crystal from falling into our hands.

Or maybe they want to break the Lanes apart from the inside.

Or maybe they’re looking for evidence of Silco’s crimes.

Who knows?” Seeing Jinx’s fists clench slightly, Felix continued, “Jinx, I’m allowing you to rest at home for a few days and not take part in this war.

Or you can go find her and ask her clearly.

But your gun can never be pointed at your own people.

You understand?” Hearing Felix’s words, Jinx suddenly smiled, then hugged Felix again.

“Only you and Silco are my people.” With that, she picked up her weapons and walked toward the door.

Felix felt somewhat helpless.

He understood Jinx’s personality, and he had also noticed that the flare in the box was gone.

With the Star Guardian card, Jinx would not be inferior to anyone in a direct fight.

But with something like this, who could say for sure?

“Fine.

Guess I’m staying awake a little longer.” Felix directly injected himself with a stimulant, driving away his sleepiness.
