Zaun, an underground arcade.

Vi dodged left and right in front of a boxing machine.

Her fists kept slamming into the targets, sweat sliding down her forehead.

Vi ended up setting a new high score for the arcade with an extremely high score.

“Vi, why do we have to hide out in this place?” Mylo asked impatiently.

“Vander told us to lie low.

The topsiders definitely won’t find this place,” Vi answered helplessly.

“Mylo, what’s wrong with you this time?

Scared Powder’s going to beat you again?” Claggor mocked.

“If she didn’t spend forever fixing this thing, I’d hit every single shot,” Mylo shot back.

Powder picked up the power switch, and a confident smile tugged at the corner of her mouth.

That was not something anyone usually saw.

She plugged it in, and the shooting targets lit up one after another, moving all over the place.

“I brought you guys along because I really thought that job could work, okay?” “That was the biggest score we’ve ever pulled.

It’s just, can we not bring Powder next time?” Mylo sounded a little speechless as the gun in his hands kept spitting bullets, though his accuracy was honestly pretty painful to watch.

“Hey, I scared him off, okay?

The package fell into the river by itself.

It’s not like I wanted that to happen,” Powder defended herself.

Then she snatched the gun from Mylo’s hands.

Bang, bang, bang.

Gunshots rang out one after another, every shot hitting its target.

Then Powder made a face at Mylo and walked off to the side in low spirits.

“Don’t pull me!

Don’t pull me!” A woman’s shout came from outside.

“Tell us where those kids are hiding!” the masked Enforcer demanded.

“What does Topside’s mess have to do with us?” another thin, frail man said with some disdain.

“When something happens in Topside, none of you gutter rats can escape responsibility.

Hand them over!” the Enforcer said condescendingly.

“Heh!” The Enforcer’s attitude stung the man’s pride.

“Pah.” The man spat on his shoe.

Boom.

With just one kick, the man was sent flying, smashing through the arcade’s glass and exposing Vi and the others to the Enforcers’ line of sight.

The two groups stared at each other, frozen for a few seconds.

“Search them,” the Enforcer said coldly.

“Go ahead, idiots.

We don’t have anything,” Mylo said, still feeling a little smug.

Only, there were still several Hextech gemstones in Powder’s pocket, and he did not know that.

Vi gave Claggor a look.

Claggor immediately shut off the lights, and a blue smiley face appeared on the floor.

Then he hurled a boxing target straight into an Enforcer’s face.

With little Ekko’s help, the group still managed to escape back to the bar.

At that moment, The Last Drop was in chaos.

Felix had only just left.

Everyone was furious.

“Piltover’s shitting on our heads, and now even that damn arms dealer dares to provoke you, Vander.

Why don’t we just fight?” “You really think we can win?” “That’s right, I do!” “How?

Did you forget what happened the last time we crossed the bridge?” “The Vander I knew, the Vander who built the undercity, would never back down and sit around waiting to die,” a strong Black woman said.

“You think I’m backing down?” Vander walked up to her.

“No.

I think you’re old.” The woman gave a disappointed whistle and left the bar.

Quite a few people followed her out.

The direction they headed was Silco’s factory.

“Even the four of us were able to mess up the Enforcers that badly,” Powder said sulkily.

“Listen to that.

Even Powder can’t stand it anymore,” Mylo said, not forgetting to mock Powder.

“Then why aren’t we fighting?” Young and hot-blooded, Vi truly did not understand why Vander was acting like this.

The Enforcers soon searched the bar.

The kids hid well and were not discovered, or rather, they were almost discovered.

Blindly hiding was not a solution.

Vander just had no solution right now.

“How did it go?” Silco looked at Felix.

Felix shrugged.

“Failed.

He’s like a rock in an outhouse, filthy and stubborn.” “It doesn’t matter.

Our experiment succeeded,” Silco comforted him.

“Tomorrow, I’ll bring the results of that experiment and show him our power.” Benzo’s shop.

Vi pressed the communicator the officer had left with Vander.

She had made her decision.

Since Vander had no way to solve this, then to protect everyone, this was the only way.

“Vander?!

How did you find this place?” Vander did not answer her.

He only stroked her face.

“You’re my pride.

You always have been.” “Vander!” Benzo knew what Vander was about to do.

He could not help calling his name, wanting to stop him, yet not knowing how to say it.

“You’re a good kid.

You always have been.

No matter how this world beats you down, don’t ever lose your conscience.

Protect our family.” Vander sounded as though he were saying goodbye.

“Why are you saying…” Vi had not finished speaking when Vander shoved her back, then locked her in the basement.

Now Vi understood what Vander wanted to do.

She pounded on the door like crazy.

“You can’t do this!

Let me out!

Benzo, open the door!” At that moment, the Enforcers pushed their way inside.

Even though losing Vander might throw the Lanes into chaos, they still could not withstand Vander’s insistence.

Left with no choice, the Enforcers put Vander in handcuffs.

“Hey, are you sure Vander is at that, what was it, Benzo’s shop, and not The Last Drop?” Felix asked uncertainly.

“I’m certain.

I have an informant among the Enforcers,” Silco said firmly.

“That’s great!

We’ve always lacked intel from Topside.

This helps patch the weak spot in our information network.” “Before, it was because our focus was on your weapons and the serum.

We simply didn’t have that much energy to spare.” “I’m so happy my weapons can stand on the same level as the serum you’ve been obsessing over.” Felix teased him as they walked toward Benzo’s shop.

Behind them was the blond kid who had already drunk the serum.

When they arrived at the shop entrance, they happened to see the Enforcers escorting Vander out.

“Looks like we can check the results of your experiment now.” Felix gestured toward that Enforcer with his mouth.

“Go.

Kill her.

Only then can we intensify the conflict between Piltover and Zaun.

Only then can Vander stop running away.” Silco agreed with Felix and gave the order directly to the test subject beside him.

After taking the serum, the blond was already struggling to control his body under the surge of power.

The moment he heard Silco’s command, he charged out.

In an instant, blood splattered everywhere.

That Enforcer proved the power of the serum with her life.

“Hi, Vander.

I told you we’d meet again, didn’t I?” Felix happily greeted Vander from a distance.
