This was one of the very few study techniques he had learned prior to this.
Right next to the final zero, Doudou drew a huge O, gazing at his artistic creation with immense satisfaction.
The live stream chat, already in stitches over Doudou earlier, was completely floored by this latest stunt.

Doudou’s little brain turns remarkably fast, if nothing else. I’m dying. I’ve already screenshotted this. When Doudou grows up into a handsome young man and cares about his pride, I’m going to show him this picture. Hahahaha, Doudou definitely won’t admit to it. He’s a kid who cares a lot about his dignity.
Whether Doudou would admit to it later didn’t matter; he had already accomplished the most important task at hand.
With a pattering of footsteps, he hopped down from his small chair clutching the check, picked out the backpack he was planning to carry tomorrow, and carefully tucked the check away into a small compartment of his schoolbag.
He even inspected it twice to make sure it was secure.
Bai Shu walked in just as the little fellow was rummaging through his schoolbag.
The sound of the door opening startled Doudou, making him jump.
“Shushu “
Reacting with lightning speed, the little fellow zipped up his schoolbag, scampered over, and plopped his bottom right onto Bai Shu’s foot, wrapping his arms around Bai Shu’s leg to block him from moving forward.
“What are you doing?” Having finished cleaning up the kitchen, Bai Shu had come upstairs to check on the child, never expecting he would give the little guy such a fright.
Doudou looked up at Bai Shu with an innocent expression. “Doudou was just planning to go to sleep, I wasn’t doing anything at all.”
Instead of buying it, Bai Shu scooped up the child sitting on his foot, tucked him under his arm, and carried him downstairs. “Go outside for a walk before you sleep. Eating and then sleeping right away you really are a little pig.”
For once, Doudou didn’t put up a fight. In fact, the moment his big brother closed his bedroom door behind them, he let out a quiet sigh of relief.
Thank goodness Shushu hadn’t discovered the check hidden inside his schoolbag.
If Shushu had reacted so strongly to finding Dad’s private stash in the study, heaven only knows how much more frantic he would have gotten upon seeing a one-million-dollar check.
As Bai Shu brought the child downstairs, he still had a nagging feeling that something wasn’t right.
Dropping the child onto the floor with a soft thud, Bai Shu bent down and asked, “Why didn’t you put up a fight?”
This was definitely not normal.
It simply wasn’t the kid’s usual style at all.
Nervously sucking in his little belly, Doudou darted his eyes sideways and scrambled to come up with an excuse: “Because… because Doudou’s tummy hurts…”
After racking his brain for a long time, the little fellow finally hit upon a plausible excuse.
With that, he doubled over with an exaggerated “Aiya” and clutched his chubby little tummy. “Aiya~ Doudou’s tummy is stuffed to bursting~”
Instantly panicked, Bai Shu scolded, “I told you to walk around for a bit earlier, but you wouldn’t listen.”
And now look at him bringing suffering entirely upon himself.
Bai Shu hurried off to fetch some digestive tablets first, then came back to rub the child’s tummy.
Stretched out comfortably across Bai Shu’s lap, Doudou let out a string of happy whimpers.
“Rub the left side, mhm now the right side too “
Ordering his big brother around to massage his belly, coupled with the prospect of eating digestive tablets shortly, Doudou couldn’t help breaking into a secret chuckle.
“Hehehe~”

His younger brother was getting sillier by the day; even with a stomachache from overeating, he could still chuckle away foolishly.
After massaging for a moment, Bai Shu stopped. “Alright, time to head out.”
Lying flat on his back, Doudou refused to get up. He threw a stubborn tantrum, rolling right off Bai Shu’s lap over to the other side of the sofa, his entire little body radiating resistance. “No, no, no Doudou is already all better, it doesn’t hurt anymore.”
Knowing precisely how to handle the little fellow, Bai Shu didn’t waste any breath and hoisted him straight onto his shoulder to carry him out the door.
Doudou let out a piercing, pig-slaughtering scream.
“Let Doudou go back “
Giving his little bottom a light swat, Bai Shu commanded, “Behave yourself!”
Feeling immensely aggrieved, Doudou really didn’t want to walk.
Since Doudou had overeaten, Bai Shu tacked on an extra penalty: “Today you’re walking an extra five hundred meters.”
Doudou felt as though he had been struck by a bolt of lightning, losing all color in his face.
He slumped forward, collapsing face-first against Bai Shu’s back. “Wuwuwu “
Hahahahaha, talk about reaping what you sow! Naturally, the luxury of having Shushu rub your tummy has to be paid for with exercise. Doudou is still too young; all his little facial expressions completely expose his inner thoughts. Hehehe, Doudou should go act in dramas when he grows up. He’s got so many little routines I could never think of stuff like that when I was a kid, and I always got caught right away by my parents. Hahahahaha, virtual walking mode activated. You can do it, Doudou!
Bai Shu had even brought along a training leash, looping one end around the child’s wrist and the other around his own, walking him just like a dog.
Bai Shu had bought the leash purely out of fear that Doudou might dart off and get lost.
Having already grown accustomed to being walked this way by his big brother, Doudou saw nothing wrong with it.
Reaching the front gate, the little fellow puffed out his tummy and greeted the security guard cheerfully, “Hello, Uncle! Doudou is going for a walk “
Having accepted the reality that he was doomed to go on a fitness walk, the little fellow now wanted to make sure absolutely everyone knew about it.
The security guard had just finished his meal. Seeing the soft, adorable Doudou, he chuckled and said, “Doudou is so hardworking! Did you eat yet?”
Doudou nodded vigorously. “Eaten! I ate until I was stuffed.”
“Eaten… oh, stuffed, you say? Well then, Doudou better walk for a bit longer, otherwise your tummy is going to feel awful,” the guard replied earnestly.
Hearing that, Doudou’s little face dropped again.
More walking?!
Fearing that the guard’s words might remind his big brother to tack on even more laps, Doudou snatched up the leash and sprinted straight to the front of the pack.
He even urged the cameraman trailing at the back to hurry up: “Keep up with Doudou!”
Bai Shu was right in the middle of chatting with the security guard when he was rudely jerked forward by the little fellow. “Slow down! We’re heading out for our walk now, bye-bye.”
“Alrighty, keep an eye on Doudou.”
“I know.”
Bai Shu couldn’t shake the feeling that the security guard’s tone sounded suspiciously familiar. It wasn’t until he had walked a bit further away that he faintly caught the guard chatting with a neighbor: “Out walking the dog again, eh? Gotta keep a close eye on the pooch, heard there are dog-nappers around the neighborhood lately.”
Glancing back over his shoulder, Bai Shu caught sight of a neighbor walking a corgi on a matching leash.
Then he looked down at the identical style of leash wrapped around his own wrist, and finally looked ahead at Doudou who was huffing and puffing, charging forward with the exact same eager enthusiasm as the corgi. Bai Shu’s mouth twitched slightly.
Bai Shu…
He genuinely hadn’t done it on purpose. When he saw that model was the most suitable size, he bought it without giving it a second thought. He hadn’t meant anything else by it!
Hahahahahahaha, I am dying of laughter at Shushu’s expression. The cameraman knew what he was doing, deliberately giving the corgi a few close-up shots before panning over to Doudou. Their postures were 100% identical. Hahaha, these are true blood-brothers across different species. Even their leashes match. When we first walked out and saw Doudou wearing that thing so naturally, I thought it was a bit weird. I can’t believe it’s actually a dog leash Shushu is a true talent. My husky has been howling at the screen the whole time. He probably thinks that leash belongs to him, I’m dying!
Once outside, Doudou was bursting with energy, tearing ahead like a little calf and still finding the breath to look back and yell, “Shushu, hurry up! Come catch Doudou!”
Worried that his little brother might spot the corgi and figure out the horrifying truth, Shushu hurriedly called back, “I’m coming to catch Doudou right now!”
Hearing that, Doudou instinctively glanced back, only to see his big brother closing the distance fast. Frightened out of his wits, the little fellow squealed in a mixture of terror and delight:
“Aaaaaah hehehe~”
The child’s crisp, silvery laughter echoed through the air, carrying boundless joy.
Finally reaching the street corner, Bai Shu let out a long breath of relief.
Meanwhile, over at the Xie household, the brothers were watching a nested live stream. True to Xie Zhuyi’s request, the giant screen TV was currently broadcasting the live stream of Doudou and Bai Shu.
Watching Shushu lead Doudou around by a leash on screen, Xie Zhuyi looked at Xie Xiran with shining eyes. “Big Brother, can you walk me like that next time too~”
Right on cue, the screen switched to show a neighbor walking their corgi.
Turning his head to look at Xie Zhuyi, Xie Xiran countered, “Are you sure?”
Xie Zhuyi pulled his little hand back, a massive question mark popping up over his head as he asked, “Why is Shushu Brother using a dog leash to walk Doudou…”
He simply couldn’t wrap his head around it.
Xie Xiran was equally baffled: “Maybe that’s just their unique brand of brotherly love.”
Nodding in solemn understanding, Xie Zhuyi declared, “Zhuyi wants this kind of brotherly love with Big Brother, too!”
Xie Xiran: Thanks for the invite, but he respectfully declines.
The audience had initially assumed this broadcast segment would be rather mundane, but Xie Xiran’s offhand remarks kept cracking everyone up.
Godly ‘brotherly love’. Doudou is still completely in the dark while Shushu is dying of guilt. Hahahahaha, Xie-ge, please grant Zhuyi that kind of brotherly love right now. We’d love to see it! Hahaha, Zhuyi is genuinely looking forward to it. He wants the exact same treatment as Doudou.
After a wild, unbridled run, Doudou had long since met his quota for today’s walk.
Exhausted from wrangling the little rascal, Bai Shu panted heavily. The kid really was just like a puppy impossible to keep under control.
Gasping for breath, Bai Shu asked, “Doudou, want some water?”
He unclipped the small water bottle from around his neck and handed it over.
Lifting his little face, Doudou demanded, “Feed Doudou!”
The little fellow spoke with absolute righteousness. Since the mission assigned by his big brother had been successfully completed, Doudou currently possessed supreme confidence in everything he said.
Plagued by a lingering sense of guilt over the leash incident, Bai Shu uncapped the bottle without a word, crouched down, and guided the straw right into the child’s mouth.
“Drink slowly. You just finished running, watch out for hiccups,” Bai Shu nagged gently.
Doudou nodded vigorously while gulping down the water.
“Mhm-mhm “
Finishing his drink, the little fellow let out a long, deeply satisfying sigh.
However, a split second later, a shrill shriek escaped Doudou’s lips: “Ah!”
Right at that moment, Bai Shu spotted the neighbor walking their corgi straight toward them, and assuming Doudou had finally made the connection,
reflexive self-preservation kicked in and he blurted out an apology: “Big Brother didn’t mean to do it, truly!”
Doudou: ?
“What is Big Brother talking about? Doudou just suddenly remembered we have to take another bath when we get back Shushu, want to take a bath together with Doudou “
The little fellow looked so happy he was practically wagging an invisible tail.
He loved taking baths the most because he got to play with water. Hehehe, and if he took a bath with Shushu, he could even get away with splashing Shushu.
Just then, the neighbor greeted them with a smile: “Shushu and Doudou out for a walk too?”
Turning around, Doudou found himself face-to-face with the corgi sporting a heart-shaped patch of fur on its bum.
The corgi spun around, locking its large, round eyes with Doudou’s, and then lowered its gaze to spot the exact same style of leash wrapped around Doudou’s wrist.
Corgi: ?
Demonstrating canine intelligence, the clever dog lifted one paw, hooked it under its own leash, and let out a friendly bark.
Only then did Doudou realize what was amiss.
