Hahaha, you’re a piggie too!” Doudou mercilessly mocked his older brother.

Bai Shu: “…”

“Stop laughing, hurry inside, I’m exhausted.” Bai Shu set his younger brother down on the ground and left him to his own devices.

Doudou had no intention of letting himself be abandoned. Quickly grabbing a corner of his older brother’s jacket, he carefully followed behind him.

Upon entering, the first thing they saw in the pigpen was a plump, snow-white little piglet.

Nearby, a “baa-baa” sound echoed. Peeking through a crack in the fence, Doudou spotted a small goat inside as well.

At that moment, a black cat leaped down from the eaves.

With its tail held high, it paced around Doudou in a circle.

Doudou didn’t even know where to look first.

Without a second thought, Doudou let go of his older brother, squatted down, and scooped the cat up into his arms before the feline even realized what was happening.

“Shushu, you were right, they’re all my brothers!”

Why were there so many fluffy creatures he loved here?

Overjoyed, Doudou hugged the cat tight. If the piglet and the little lamb hadn’t been fenced in, the little fellow would have loved to scoop them up into his arms too.

“Oink-oink~ Baa-baa~” Doudou spun around happily in circles.

After mimicking the sounds of the pig and the small goat, he lowered his head to look at the little black cat in his arms: “Meow-meow~”

Who would have thought that his meowing would literally chase the cat away?

Only to see the black cat arch its back and bolt straight out of Doudou’s arms, before retreating back up to the eaves to stare down at Doudou with a “meow-ow.”

The feline’s face was plastered with utter indignation.

Bai Shu had never imagined that Doudou possessed such agile hands and feet.

Shocked, he watched this entire sequence of events unfold before asking suspiciously, “Did you curse at it?”

Otherwise, why else would this black cat be so angry?

Doudou frantically waved his hands. “No, no, Doudou didn’t curse.”

In his panic, his speech even started tripping over itself.

Suspiciously eyeing his younger brother, Bai Shu finally noticed that his clothes were covered in cat fur: “Doudou, your clothes! From now on, wash your own clothes. Kids by the age of three already wash their own clothes and cook their own meals.”

Doudou plucked at his clothing, which was indeed covered in a thick layer of black fur.

Looking worriedly at the black cat, he asked, “Older brother, is Xiao Hei going to go bald?”

He had only held it for a little while and it had already shed this much fur, which genuinely concerned Doudou.

“Of course not. Hurry up inside and change your clothes. Also, stop giving people random nicknames; they all have owners.” Bai Shu now wished he could put some distance between himself and the child.

Right on cue, he sneezed. It was starting.

Bai Shu couldn’t stop sneezing; both his eyes and nose turned red.

This was the first time Doudou had ever seen his older brother like this. With a tearful little face, he hurried over: “Shushu, what’s wrong?”

Bai Shu quickly grabbed a face mask to put on, stepping further away from Doudou: “Stay right there. I’m allergic to fluff.”

This was the exact reason why they had never kept pets at home.

Doudou: !!

To think someone could suffer so terribly being unable to pet fluffy things was definitely a massive loss for his older brother.

“Alright, then I’ll go bring the piggie over.” Doudou thought about it; piggies didn’t have fur.

Speechless, Bai Shu watched the little boy trot excitedly toward the pigpen. He was totally lost for words, though the little fellow was having the time of his life.

Just as Doudou made a move to crawl inside and pick up the piglet, Bai Shu hurriedly stopped him.

“Hurry up and go change your clothes.”

The production crew had already had their luggage transported over earlier.

The house assigned to Bai Shu and Doudou wasn’t bad at all; at the very least, all the basic amenities were fully provided, and the courtyard was quite spacious. Having grown accustomed to living in luxury villas, experiencing this kind of rural countryside housing carried a rather unique charm.

It would have been even better if there were no furry creatures around, Bai Shu rubbed his nose through the mask.

He felt another sneeze coming on.

Ever since he learned that getting close to his older brother would trigger his sneezes, Doudou kept a safe distance, watching him with careful, cautious observation.

Amused by his antics, Bai Shu chuckled. “Alright, hurry inside and tidy up.”

First, Bai Shu found a fresh set of clothes for the child to change into. Doudou took the clothes himself and put them on in the corner of the room.

He was even remarkably mindful of his privacy, asking his older brother to block the camera for him.

“Are you done?” Bai Shu asked.

“Mm-hm, all done.” Doudou turned around, a mop of messy hair crowning his head.

Speechless, Bai Shu asked, “Why did you wear your backpack underneath your clothes? There better not be any secrets hidden in this bag.”

Startled, Doudou protested, “No, no! It’s just… I just like this backpack way too much.”

Helpless, Bai Shu adjusted the straps for him, pulling the backpack out so he could wear it properly on his back.

Throughout the entire process, the little fellow’s body remained rigid, terrified that his older brother might take the backpack away from him.

Fortunately, his older brother only adjusted its positioning.

Reaching out his tiny hands to wrap them around his older brother’s legs, Doudou declared, “I like Shushu~”

Shushu was so gentle.

Such a gentle Shushu was completely mismatched with that big bad bully.

The big bad bully only knew how to tease Shushu on purpose and intentionally take advantage of him. He wasn’t trying to blacken the guy’s name this was something Doudou had witnessed with his own eyes.

Before long, that big bad bully would be out of Shushu’s life for good.

Causing his own backpack, Doudou leaned against Bai Shu’s leg and let out a sly, sinister chuckle: “Hehehe~”

Once today was over, Shushu would be free from his misery.

Doudou could hardly wait.

“Shushu, when does Doudou get to take a bath?”

That was going to be his prime opportunity for some one-on-one alone time with the big bad bully.

Using his hand to tame the messy cowlick on top of the child’s head, Bai Shu replied, “Not yet, we still need to go deliver gifts first, then eat lunch, and after a nap, we have more tasks to do.”

Doudou: !! There were still so many things to do!

Doudou couldn’t wait any longer.

“Let’s go, the room is all sorted out, let’s take the gifts and head over.” The gift Bai Shu and Doudou prepared was extremely simple just some small toys bought at the supermarket.

Cheap as they were, Doudou liked them a lot.

Before leaving, Doudou even bowed goodbye to the household’s three newest members: “Bye-bye piggie, bye-bye baa-baa, see you later Xiao Hei~”

Both the piggie and the baa-baa grunted and bleated in response.

Only Xiao Hei strutted away even further on its feline paws.

Looking somewhat heartbroken, Doudou tugged on his older brother’s hand: “Xiao Hei doesn’t like Doudou.”

Swinging their joined hands, Bai Shu asked, “Could it be because the name you gave it was too awful?”

Xiao Hei just hearing it sounded completely uninspired and lazy.

“Then what should I call it? Doudou doesn’t know how to read,” Doudou stated as if it were the most natural thing in the world.

Not knowing how to read meant having no culture, and for a culturally bankrupt Doudou, coming up with a name like that was already quite an achievement.

The corners of Bai Shu’s mouth twitched: “You sound awfully proud of yourself.”

Doudou bounced up and down happily. “Doudou is easily satisfied.”

Bai Shu had officially surrendered.

Speechlessly holding his illiterate younger brother’s hand, they arrived at the gathering point where everyone else was already waiting. Because Bai Shu and Doudou had been delayed for a bit, they ended up being the last to arrive.

The director announced, “Those who arrive late have to perform a talent show for everyone.”

Panicking at the mere mention of this, Bai Shu scooped Doudou up and ran over to take his seat: “Phew, not late.”

They made it just in time.

Looking somewhat disappointed, the director thought to himself that he should have waited until they were officially late before making the announcement.

“Shushu sings really well!” Doudou had no qualms whatsoever about throwing his older brother under the bus.

He loved watching people perform talents the most.

Hahahaha way to go Doudou, as expected, when it comes to throwing family members under the bus, you gotta rely on your own kin.

I’m dying, Doudou didn’t hesitate for a second before selling Shushu out.

But Shushu was just dealing with an allergy earlier, I wonder if he’ll agree.

Every single person present lit up with anticipation as they turned their eyes toward Bai Shu.

Quietly, Bai Shu pinched the flesh on his younger brother’s waist.

With a scrunched-up little face, Doudou looked up at his older brother: “Shushu, stop pinching Doudou.”

It tickled.

The rest of the crowd shifted their gaze to focus on Bai Shu’s hand, prompting him to offer an awkward laugh: “Let’s leave it for next time, I’m not prepared today.”

Xie Xiran chimed in, “Then let’s save the performance for next time. Let’s get started quickly.”

Hearing that, Bai Shu shot Xie Xiran a grateful look. Without missing a beat, Doudou scrambled onto his older brother’s lap, reaching out to cover his eyes: “You’re not allowed to look.”

The two of them were at it again with the secret eye-contact flirting, completely ignoring their image in broad daylight.

This time, the rest of the crew couldn’t hold back their laughter.

“Hahahaha Doudou is too funny.”

“Doudou really knows how to break up a CP shipper’s dreams.”

“As expected of the ultimate brother-sabotaging expert.”

Initially, when the production crew noticed the pink romantic bubbles floating between Bai Shu and Xie Xiran earlier, the director had approached Xie Xiran to discuss manufacturing a fake on-screen romance, only to be flatly rejected.

Thus, the director never brought it up with Bai Shu.

At the time, the director had felt deeply regretful, but looking at this clingy dynamic now, it could literally sweeten someone to death.

The director gestured to the cameraman: shoot every single sweet moment you can find.

No wonder Xie Xiran hadn’t been willing to play along with a scripted romance earlier these two were probably the real deal.

Sucking in his stomach, the director decided he needed to prepare a backup plan just in case.

If it really worked out, he’d direct a romance reality show next time; maybe he actually had an eye for matchmaking destiny.

Bai Shu’s hands were itching from his younger brother’s repeated antics today, and he made a mental note to discipline him properly once they got back.

Sensing his older brother’s unfriendly gaze, Doudou shrank his neck back defensively.

Then, he slipped away from Bai Shu’s embrace. The moment he moved, the other kids sprang into action too.

“Doudou, come over to Sister’s side, Sister has a gift for you.” Qianqian adored Doudou Little Brother; she thought he was so cute and chubby, and even the way he talked was entertaining.

Refusing to yield, Pingping chimed in: “Pingping big brother has Ultraman here!”

Xie Zhiyi was caught somewhat off guard—how had Doudou become so popular after just a moment out of his sight? Though he lacked verbal skills, his physical reflexes were lightning fast, and he directly scooped Doudou up into his own arms.

Doudou: “?”

“Doudou, Zhiyi Big Brother has a lot of dark history about your older brother here, do you want to hear it?”

Doudou’s eyes instantly lit up, and clenching his little hands into fists, he anticipated eagerly: “Yes, yes, yes!”

Arrogantly, Xie Zhiyi glanced at the other two kids. Hmph, give up, Doudou still likes me best.

Doudou: No, I’m just interested in your older brother’s dark history.
