“How dare she?” he said, holding his fists tightly.

He was furious.

Never in his entire life had someone slapped him before.

Whispers immediately spread among the students who had witnessed the scene.

Ryan left the place angrily.

The students’ gossip only added fuel to the fire.

Aria quickly followed him.

“How dare she slap you?” she said through gritted teeth.

“I’ll show her her place.” “Last time, I went easy on her because she saved my grandma.” “But this time, I won’t let this go so easily,” he said angrily.

Listening to him, Aria smiled to herself.

This was exactly what she wanted.

Even though she hadn’t expected Sophia to slap him, the result was even better than she had hoped for.

She already knew Sophia wouldn’t go anywhere near the pool.

Earlier, she had overheard Sophia telling Chloe that she didn’t want to go anywhere near it.

– Meanwhile Students around them began whispering about what had just happened.

“Did she slap him?” someone asked in shock.

“Who was the girl who slapped Ryan?” another person asked.

“Her name is Sophia,” someone else replied.

Chloe heard that.

“What did you say?” she asked the moment she heard Sophia’s name.

“She slapped Ryan when he was pulling her toward the pool.” “What?” Chloe said, unable to believe what she had just heard.

“Where is she now?” she asked urgently.

“She ran away,” one of them replied.

The moment she heard that, Chloe quickly ran toward the exit.

End of Third person POV I ran out of the place.

I didn’t know where I was going.

I just knew I wanted to be far away from that place.

“Sophia!” I heard Chloe shout behind me, but I didn’t stop.

I kept running as memories from the past started rushing back to my mind.

“No…

please…” My breath turned uneven.

My hands were trembling.

Tears started forming in my eyes.

I closed my eyes tightly.

Fear slowly began taking over me as fragments of that day flashed through my mind.

My phone rang but I didn’t check who it is as I know it must be my parents.

They are worried about me as I never stay out of my house this late.

I kept running unaware of my surroundings when I suddenly saw a car coming toward me.

Closer …and closer.

I couldn’t understand what is happening.

My mind went blank.

I stood there frozen, as if my feet were stuck to the ground.

Before I could understand what was happening, And then… everything went dark.
